“ Is it really you…Touya? “
“…Natsu-kun“
i feel like one day dabis just gonna come into a fight and someones gonna call him touya but when we get the text spoilers we’re all just gonna skip over it as fantranslation or something bc they’ve hinted at it far too many times.
HEADCANON: natsuo, touya & trauma that comes from death. (aka the sibling loss meta i keep on going on about doing repeatedly. )
one of the most important parts of natsuos role in bnh.a is his relation to his older brother, touya. his appearance sparks a form of catalyst in the family, he shows a more negative view of end.eavour from his own family, presents a completely dependent character. natsuo is the member of the family who brings up that something happened to touya, and his consequent arc is the one that finally confirms the fact that touya is actually dead, and that there’s a big chance that endea.vour was involved in this. - it’s as fuyumi says, he was the closest to touya. we may not see touya’s POV for a long long time, but the question still remains? just how much did touya’s death affect natsuo?
when someone around them dies, children just like adults may feel intense sadness or grief over the loss of a loved one. however, some children may experience greater than usual sadness and upset and have a more intense reaction known as childhood traumatic grief. this is characterised as symptoms which are associated with PTSD.
natsuo himself suffers from this, and i am here to explain why.
The study found that adolescents confronted by the loss of a sibling often experience trauma associated with the loss or witnessing the decline of their sibling as well as a sense of disenfranchised grief, where the intensity of their grief may not be recognised by other people or may be seen as lesser than that of their parents.
h.
to add onto yesterdays post but like ... natsuo teaches shouto how to drive when he’s old enough. because thats the one thing touya never taught him to do.
sometimes i think abt how natsuo was taught so much by touya and how little time hes been able to spend with shouto so some days shouto comes home telling them smth he was taught by aizawa / his friends and natsuo starts to feel guilty once again because even though he’d learnt it from his family, he hadn’t been able to give shouto the chance to learn it from him and i just. 🙃
🔥❄️ Todorokis ❄️🔥
I made this as a way to refine my painting and under painting technique a bit! it was really interesting to work with a lot of blues and try to work them into skintones. These characters were perfect to do it, lol.

what she says: i’m fine. what she means: people base natsuos personality on the one time he stands up to his father although it’s pointed out by both shouto & reflected by fuyumis expression that natsuo isn’t usually like this, even though he walked out & tried to diffuse the situation & anger he was feeling by leaving the room before he was pushed into replying. while natsuo is bitter, he’s not generally angry, & shout ups are rare for him, as he’s seen to be very calm & collected even while angered ( such as his discussion with rei, it’s handled in a mature & professional manner. ) natsuo isn’t some angry kid & nor would he hold the same resentment towards someone he grew up with & looked after him with someone who caused his family pain. that’s just not how he is. although the situation may be complicated, he has never been sure that he ’ hates ’ dabi, or instead finds himself telling him he’s on his own. there’s more to him than the bitter & anger created by his father & that’s why we got to see him interact with everyone else before because horikoshi wanted us to see that, too.
