Hyrule Warriors: 3 new characters as well as a new enemy character were announced for Hyrule Warriors recently. Shiek, Darunia, and Ruto from Ocarina of Time were confirmed playable. Reccuring boss Gohma was also confirmed as a villain. Darunia and Ruto seem to be very similar to their previous appearances but Sheik seems to have undergone a slight redesign. Gohma's desing looks most similar to her Ocarina of Time incarnation.
Super Smash Bros. for 3DS and Wii U: Returning character Captain Falcon of F-Zero fame will be returning as a playable character as revealed in today's character introduction video.
Super Smash Bros for Wii U and 3DS: Newcomer Lucina from Fire Emblem Awakening was confirmed playable in the character introduction video today.

Super Smash Bros for Nintendo 3DS: Nintendo will host their first tournament for the 3DS version of the new Super Smash Bros. at San Diego Comic Con. The event will take place on July 25 starting at noon in the Nintendo gaming lounge.
Hyrule Warriors: Skyward Sword enemies Ghirahim and the Imprisoned will make a return in upcoming Zelda spin-off Hyrule Warriors. No word on the playability of these two as of yet.
Hyrule Warriors: The sword spirit of Skyward Sword, Fi, is now confirmed playable in the upcoming Zelda spin-off Hyrule Warriors. Her attacks seem to be a mix of magic relating to her connection to the goddess.
Hyrule Warriors: Lana an all new character has been confirmed as a playable character in the upcoming game Hyrule Warriors. Lana is a witch and will use a spellbook and magic in battle.
Hyrule Warriors: Agitha, of Twilight Princess fame has been confirmed as a playable character in the upcoming game Hyrule Warriors. Agitha's attacks will revolve around the use of a parasol and her beloved insects.
Newcomer Pac-Man Confirmed for Upcoming Smash Bros.: Pacman of Namco Bandai joins the fight. His moveset includes things like throwing fruit, kicking, and turning into his classic self.
New Game Announcement: Captain Toad Treasure Tracker is an upcoming action platformer coming to Wii U, this holiday season. It stars Captain Toad from Super Mario 3D World and the style of the game is also reminiscent of that title. Toad will have new abilities to defeat his enemies such as throwing turnips and the game features several colorful levels including haunted mansions and old desert ruins.
New Nintendo Game: Mario Maker for Wii U will allow you to create your own Mario levels in either the recent 3D Mario style or the classic 8-bit style. The game is currently set for a 2015 release.
New Main Zelda Game Announced: The new Legend of Zelda has been announced for a 2015 release on Wii U. So far we know very little, as we've only been shown one trailer (images above). However Eiji Aonuma has stated that the game will be a truly open-world experience and even hinted at non-linear dungeons.
Nintendo Announces New IP: Splatoon
Splatoon is an upcoming 4 vs 4 shooter in which two colored teams race to see who can blanket the stage in their own ink. In addition your character has the ability to transform into a squid. While in squid form you can travel quickly through your own ink, teleport to another player on your team, or wait in the ink to ambush the other team's players. Splatoon is currently set for a 2015 release on Wii U
Both Zelda and Midna Confirmed Playable in Upcoming Hyrule Warriors: A new incarnation of Zelda as well as Midna from Twilight Princess will be playable in the upcoming Hyrule Warriors. Hyrule Warriors releases on September 26 for the Wii U.
Palutena Confirmed for Upcoming Smash Bros.: Lady Palutena from Kid Icarus is now a confirmed playable character in the upcoming Super Smash Bros. for Wii and Super Smash Bros. for 3DS. Her moveset so far has shown many attacks based on the items and abilities she granted to Pit in Kid Icarus: Uprising

NFC Figure Platform "amiibo" Confirmed to be usable with Super Smash Bros for Wii U: The figures will be able to trade data back and forth with the console and game, allowing you to store your own personal version of your character for transport and easy access. The characters can be loaded into the game simply by touching them to the gamepad.
