Today we start with TAEIL.
A/N: this is my first time writing for him on a more elaborate scale and and in third person so it might be little rough. but it’s a cute story, I will work harder to write for him better because he is actually one of my biases and i need more Taeil in my life
SUMMARY: Taeil plans Christmas eve with his girlfriend, ready to take the next step he does the most to make her the perfect Christmas.
“Hyung! Wait!” Haechan called out from behind Taeil as he approached the door. “Don’t forget this.” Haechan said carrying the bag Taeil had forgotten on the couch a moment earlier
“haha yes.” Taeil said “thanks!” He said pinching Haechan’s cheeks and then wrapping his scarf around himself and walking out the door. He was on his way to meet his girlfriend for the first time this holiday season. He was planning on inviting her to his apartment for the holiday seeing as she wasn’t going home this year and he had time off. He wanted to propose to her Christmas morning.
The cold Seoul wind bit at her ankles as she waited for Taeil on the street outside the coffee shop they were to meet at. She could have gone inside but she enjoyed the light snow falling, it comforted her and reminded her of home. She was so sad that she might be alone this year for the holidays. Today she found out whether Taeil had gotten time off. She was lost in thought looking out at the sky
“honey! Are you crazy”?!” She heard from the distance. She turned to him laughing “the snow!” she said twirling as he got closer. She noticed he had a bag and her heart kind of dropped, her gift, he was giving it to her now because he wouldn’t be able to on Christmas. “Let’s go in!” He said holding the door open for her. She took a seat at the back as he ordered. He kept looking back her giving her big smiles. He was happy maybe it wasn’t as bad as she thought. He finally sat down with the two drinks in his hands setting the bag on the table in front of them “open it.” He said sliding the bag towards her ‘but Christmas is in…” She started before he put his hand up to stop her as he sipped his drink. She sighed and opened the bag inside was a pair of pajamas with Christmas trees all over them.
“huh?” she asked a note fell out onto her lap “for you to keep at my place for Christmas eve, Love Taeil. Wait!? We’re going to spend Christmas together?” She asked her hopes skyrocketing as she looked at him. He nodded
“there’s more.” He said. Pushing the bad towards her “I won’t be home until Christmas eve.” He said “but! I made you this, so I’ll be with you leading up until then.” He said pulling a CD out of his jacket pocket “Christmas songs for my sweetheart.” Was written on the cover with a cute little drawing of a tree and ornaments. “I’ll give you the key to my place you can just stay there for the week before I’ll buy some decorations.” he said smiling big at her.
“wow. I love you!” she said excitedly looking at the CD “Thank you! This means a lot to me.” She said “I know.” He said,
“I love you so much” he said. “I really wanted to be there for you.” He added “Thank you.” She smiled at him putting her things in the bag.
Tomorrow was Christmas eve Taeil was going to be home sometime tonight Y/N had been listening to the CD Taeil had made her. His smooth voice serenading her this past week as she decorated his apartment with little touches of Christmas. A few tiny trees on his island, A piece of garland here and there. Bells on his front door. She loved it. He had bought her a tree too, but she didn’t want to do that without him, so she just admired the lights on it every night as she watched the movies, he had downloaded for her. She slept in one of his hoodies every night in his bed. She loved being surrounded by his scent as she fell asleep listening to the CD. She often thought about their future and hoped one day she could call this place hers as well. Her tiny Gangnam apartment lonely when Taeil was at work at least here she had bits and pieces of him all over. She sighed in contentment as she laid down in the bed for the night. Taeil would come in sometime tonight, hopefully she’d wake up in his arms. Taeil walked into his apartment quietly, He smiled to himself as he saw all the little decorations all over, his eyes on the bare tree lit up in the darkness pulling at his heartstrings a little. He quietly washed up for bed and finally made his way into the bedroom. His heart melting as soon as he spotted her laying in the middle of his bed wearing his hoodie. He couldn’t wait to come home to this every day. He eyed the ring in his sock drawer with a huge smile then crawled into bed. He fell asleep immediately as she cuddled into his chest snoring softly. Y/N woke up warmth surrounding her, soft snores rumbling against her, she smiled as she cuddled in closer and fell back asleep. She woke awhile later to taeil lightly humming as he laid in bed his phone in one hand his eyes still sleepy. “morning,” She said softly as she laid her head on his chest
“yeah.” She said “what are you plans for today?” he asked her placing a kiss on her forehead.“Well I waited to decorate the tree with you.” y/n said
“thank you.” He said pulling her on top of him placing kissed on her cheek as she giggled
“and then I went out and found ingredients for cookies. I’ll show you my mom’s recipe.” She said between placing kisses on his cheeks and jaw and collarbones.
“can’t wait.” He said lightly holding her face and bringing her lips to his. He enjoyed her soft kisses first thing in the morning. She felt so content being this close to him. They didn’t get to enjoy times like this often between her school and his work. She slipped out of the shower to see Taeil at the sink wrapped in his towel swiping at his face with his razor. It was now after noon. They’d spent all morning in bed as close as can be enjoying their time together. She kissed his shoulder blade as she passed him and made her way out of the room. She put on her Christmas pajamas and put her hair up. She smiled as she stuffed the note in the pocket of her shorts picking up all the clothes that had been strewn everywhere earlier. She walked out into the kitchen to start coffee and breakfast. She had been planning on making Taeil his favourite food upon his return, so she stocked up his kitchen. She also found some turkey breasts and stuffing and of her other American favourites while out. She was ready to cook a whole Christmas meal for her and Taeil. She was making eggs when Taeil wrapped himself around her and places kisses the back of her neck
“Ah go sit. I’ll burn these.” She said laughing. He obediently listened and waited at one of the seats at the island
“I knew you’d like these.” Taeil said playing with the tiny Christmas trees.
“they’re my favorite.” She said as she gathered the dishes she had done already and placed them on the counter. “thank you.” She said smiling at him, he winked at her in return. It wasn’t long before she was dancing around the living room of Taeil’s apartment as he played all her favourite Christmas carols on his guitar. He’d stayed up late all last month learning all of them for her and recording her the CD. They were supposed to be decorating the Christmas tree but Taeil opened a bottle of wine and they were both having too much fun. The cookies in the oven smelling up the apartment, the glow of the half empty tree lighting the room as the lights of Seoul glimmered outside the window. This night was perfect more beautiful than Y/N could have ever imagined, and she was so in love with Taeil she couldn’t be happier. He made sure she was asleep before he went out to the living room. He went and dug all the presents he had hidden out of the closet grateful she hadn’t found them. Taeil had been gathering present from all over the world for her. A tiny thing here an outfit there. He knew he didn’t have to spoil her this much, but he knew that she would love it and he felt she deserved it after all she’d been through in the years with him. Besides all his favourite artists are always spoiling their girls why shouldn’t he. His soon to be fiance. He organized the presents under the tree with the ones she had brought over from her place. It was a cute little spread. He couldn’t wait until she woke up.
“Merry Christmas.” He whispered quietly to wake her up. A small smile spreading across her face a she pulled herself closer to him.
“Merry Christmas my love.” She said in her adorable morning voice.
“Let’s go to the living room.” Taeil said “Santa came.” He said in English causing her to giggle. She got up and wrapped a throw blanket around herself and let Taeil lead her out to the living room. The tree glowing as the presents pile had grown since she last seen it, she turned to him a surprised look on her face as he smiled cheesily. He sat her down on the couch. He passed her a present and took one for himself. They both sat there taking turns opening gifts and sharing kisses and hugs, squeal of excitement from her every now and then. She went into the kitchen after the gifts were open to grab a cup of tea. She was busy making a cup for taeil when she felt him behind her she turned to see taeil kneel in front of her, Her heart racing it couldn’t be. Her shaky hands placing the tea on the counter beside her“Y/n. I love you more than anything else in the whole world.” He started in English. “It would mean the world to me if you would marry me?” He added in Korean. She was kneeling in front him him now holding his hands crying nodding. He took her in his arms and felt so relieved and in love and happy in this moment that he could almost cry himself.
“yes, Taeil I’ll marry you.” She said in Korean. “I’ll love you for the rest of this life and the next.” She added as he slipped the fingers on her shaking hands and held them to his chest. The both stood up, she admired her ring as she grabbed the tea she had made. They both went to sit on the couch to admire the tree once again. The rest of their lives together only starting.
