yknow how the greener parts of apple skin are tan lines from where leaves and branches obscure the sun? I’m surprised I’ve never seen anyone utilize that for printmaking
finally got an apple that shows this effect well
OH THIS IS EXCELLENT THANK YOU
Maybe id actually get my regular pussy exams if gynecology ads werent always like “hey WOMAN! Get your WOMAN parts checked out! It’s important that you take care of your LADIES! And by ladies I mean breasts! Your FEMININE health is important!”
Only day you can reblog this
[ID: a still from SpongeBob SquarePants of realistically rendered blue hands extending from off screen to point at a calendar day reading, “Sunday 26th.” SpongeBob has a large frown. / end ID]
never kill yourself. discovering music is literally endless. you know songs? they're always making new ones
the thing is depression was never destigmatized the narrative just switched from “no one has depression you’re just using it as an excuse” to “everyone has depression you’re just using it as an excuse”
neil gaiman's entire career is an amazing study in fandom toxicity. like, for maaaaany many years people who were fans of him or his works tried to criticize on the grounds of feeling that something he'd said or written was homophobic or misogynistic or transphobic, and people would light you UP if you did, because don't you know that's neil fucking gaiman you're talking about? he's a feminist. he literally gave trans people rights. how ungrateful could you possibly be? this is the problem with leftist spaces, you people expect perfection and excoriate anybody who fails to pass your purity test. and this is important because that attitude, that """feminist cred,""" allowed gaiman to lower the guards of women he planned to rape and abuse, and it enforced a wall of silence because how dare you say anything bad about feminist icon neil gaiman. gaiman's fanbase didn't make him a rapist, but i don't doubt for a minute that being the subject of worship makes it easier to get away with shit
what's more. the frustrating thing about the way people talk about, e.g. the usamerican trump administration, is that it's always framed as a) a crisis, and b) a temporary one that will be over the moment Evil Guy leaves office. this kind of crisis framing should always be seen as suspect because it often does the work of papering over deeper systemic problems. "the country" has never stopped being in crisis for some people, because the process of creating "the country" in and of itself was an injustice, and an on-going one at that. the systems that have been established in the process of nation-building were designed to oppress. the system is not in crisis. the person heading the system is not the originator of a period of crisis. things are rolling on in the same unjust ways they always have done. remember that
its really annoying that its like apparently impossible to explain to men that "sexual assault is not the Default State of women in distress and it's ReallyFhucking Stupid that this is literally the go-to when writing a conflict involving a woman" without it being interpreted as "writing about rape is bad and all suggestions of it as a reality for some women must be avoided at all costs" like i mean really really really annoying
why am i only just now learning about just how misconstrued the idea of "girl dinner" is from the original meaning
the woman who coined it used it to refer to what i can only describe as a "charcuterie board dinner" that she had with her friend (another woman). she felt that it was a "girl dinner" because her boyfriend wasn't there—she was having dinner with her friend instead, and felt that there was less pressure to make a more "conventional" meal. the idea was that when you're with your "girl friends" there is less pressure on you to conform to an arbitrary social expectation. hello
fandom is always like “I’m allowed to do whatever I want” and it’s true. You’re allowed to have whatever ships and headcanons you want. If they’re stereotypical or bigoted or dismissive or shallow I’m allowed to think you’re a dipshit. Look at all the things we’re allowed to do~
“they’re just friends, not EVERYTHING has to be so lesbian ugh” what planet do you live on where everything is lesbian. what is its name. where is it. what is its address. what are the directions. how do i go there

Be serious with me right now
I'm starting to see flo ads on here so disclaimer if you're someone who menstruates and has the capacity to get pregnant do not download this app or other period tracker apps. Especially if you live in a red state. It has been reported before that Flo and other period tracker apps have given user data collected over to authorities in some cases of prosecuting people for abortions.
