NOG IS CRYING WHO ALLOWED THIS
Here’s what Aron Eisenberg had to say about that scene, “It wasn’t written that way. The script just said that Nog gets emotional. When we were ready to shoot, I realized that I had to cry. It was the defining moment of what the episode was all about. You finally see what’s inside that’s gotten Nog to this point. Up until then, you didn’t know why he was behaving that way. I grew that day as an actor.”
Eisenberg has also said that he’s been contacted by military veterans who told him his performance was very true to life. In The 50 Year Mission: The Next 25 Years, there’s a comment from a former soldier on how DS9 was the series that helped him recover from his combat experiences and he recommends the series to other former soldiers.
the first minister and the kai being at odds politically was probably the most exciting thing to happen to bajoran political cartoonists since the cardassian withdrawal. and the farm equipment spat? comedy heaven. shakaar is getting classist-ly carricaturized into last wednesday. you can't go anywhere without seeing a cartoon of that guy digging a hole
dukat is slapping his knee and hollering at a shakaar cartoon of him moving kai winn's lawn. (bajorancartoonsdaily.com). becoming somber and serious when he reads the one about kira being pregnant with the emmisary. (top gossip sites theory). perking up at another mean one about shakaar's d'jarra and writing it down to try saying later. the website has 500 hourly hits and 499 are his
what your boomer bajoran uncle sends you on facebook
i don't know if it was always like this, but Paramount's description for season one of The Original Series just cracks me up every time i see it
it's giving one of those high-school "coming of age" movie synopses about a ditzy blonde girl who's really quite brave and smart beginning her junior year and realising that amid the pressures of study and the burden of being popular, she might just be falling for the new kid in town (spock)
the year is 2268. it's not going to be a good year for Captain James T. Kirk. can anyone hear me here
Thinking about Kai Winn a lot lately. She doesn’t get nearly enough credit for being one of the most compelling antagonists Star Trek has ever put out and I need people to acknowledge that more. She’s complex and infuriating and heartbreaking like she is genuinely a full one woman tragedy and nobody ever talks about her except to call her Space Pope Karen or whatever and I’m like. How would you act in her situation?
Winn Adami who spent so much of her life imprisoned under fascist regime with the threat of genocide looming over her. Who never partook in the resistance but instead turned to prayer and faith in a jail cell, relied on it to get her through those dark, dark years. Who behaved like the perfect faithful servant, who dedicated her life to her faith, who did everything she was supposed to do. She was non-violent and peaceful. She was dutiful and good. She did everything she was asked to do, everything she could have done. And none of it was ever enough
Can you imagine that? Dedicating your life to something, doing everything you’re supposed to do in line with your faith, everything that those that came before you did to hear their voices, and it isn’t enough? You were good. You never raised a hand to anyone. You taught what you were supposed to teach. And they never speak to you. They could, but they don’t. Instead, this human comes along, and they speak to him. They make him their emissary. They say nothing to you, day in and day out, they’re silent. You become the leader of your faith and still they’re silent. How do you become anything else than what she becomes? How do you become anything less than angry? Bitter? Resentful?
Kai Winn is frequently treated like she hasn’t suffered the same as so many other Bajorans, she’s talked down to about her faith and her people, she’s treated like she’s on par with those who oppressed her. And I’m not saying she’s in the right- but man, can you blame her for ending up the way she does? She endured a lifetime of trauma by clinging to faith and the idea that if she was good enough, if she listened to the Prophets and did their bidding, taught their teachings, then everything would work out. She would be rewarded. And she never is. Her entire life is a battle that she never wins. No wonder she’s angry. No wonder she’s bitter. No wonder she’s resentful and petty and condescending
No wonder she clings to the first person who seems to understand her. She finally gets someone in her corner, and it all turns out to be a manipulation by the rapist of her world. She literally never wins, she never gets any reward for a life of trauma and servitude, there is never any reprieve. She is her own never-ending tragedy! She never truly gets out of that jail cell. She is never free. In some way or another, Kai Winn is always a prisoner, and she’s always praying to beings that will never answer her, for a salvation that will never come
You could be having the worst day of your life and then boom. the omniscient faggot is back to beg for your old man pussy
doctor bashir i presume is great episode for those who want to experience a vicarious fantasy where they could amicably send their father to prison for two years for the choices he made in their childhood

Weekly crowdfunding post! Week 4!
As I've gone over my car is kind of fucked right now and not drivable or repairable at the price I can afford. I'm fundraising for a month's transit costs roughly, the expense of the tows/"repair"/first week of ubers, and for some of the down-payment. Ubers on my commute average $25-30, and I have a little saved for the down-payment. For this week the goal is $250 at least, as well as ideally the unmet goal from previous weeks. I'm making weekly posts in hopes that this will encourage donations. As I said I hoped to do an update based on check/raised amount, but that will have to wait until either Sunday afternoon or a bit later due to New Bullshit Happening To Me.
Unmet goal from previous weeks: 275
Combined goal of previous weeks and this week: 525
$FaeKhawal and ko-fi.com/rosebijoumme are my paylinks. I prefer cashapp because kofi takes a cut from me. I also have venmo and PayPal but those have my dead name, so dm me if you want to use those. You can also go directly through gfm, which will be linked in a reblog.

5/250!
Well, my job finally got all shifts staffed after over two months so instead of getting 40 hours (and, as I've been doing for the past few weeks, up to 48 if I volunteer) I'll only be getting 32, which is a big dip in pay for me. My manager is going to see what she can do to try and squeeze in more hours for me but please boost this!
72/250!
