First serious commission done in less than a week with breaks. Was really fun doing this artwork, especially the details, reflections and the two main characters on the screen, Kar and Alva! I need to publicly thank my client for their patience and trust in me to do this amazing artwork for them! :)
โข Here's some little thoughts from the club towards Layla if anyone's willing to read it :P
How Bill sees Layla:
โข Bill's whole ego is being The Boss of the basement, right? Layla screws that up.
โข He HATES that sheโs stubborn, wonโt bend, and can talk back him. She's the only one who calls him on his petty "rules".
โข Her random true crime or political takes make him foam at the mouth, especially when she's right.
โข Secretly, he thinks she's brilliant, and it INFURIATES him because he knows he can't out-argue her.
โข He'll never admit he loves her deep talks at 3am when they're the last two left.
โข Bill thinks she's a huge threat to his authority butโฆ part of him lowkey respects her for it. He'd rather fight her than be bored.
Layla's view of Bill:
โข He's an insecure control freak and the poster child for "unresolved issues". She calls him out for bullying the others.
โข She respects him but loves embarrassing him.
โข She keeps his secrets (for now).
โข If Bill ever actually needed help, she'd probably be there, but she'd never let him live it down.
How Josh sees Layla:
โข She's so chaotic. She jumps from astrology to bootlegs to horror to politics and it makes his brain itch.
โข Her random fun facts make him roll his eyes, but he'll secretly quote them later because they are interesting.
โข He doesn't get her "god complex" but envies how she doesn't care what anyone thinks.
โข Josh is probably the biggest gossip about her, he rants about her behind her back, but he'd never cross her outright because she'd drop something humiliating.
โข Deep down, he's weirdly comforted by how she sees through his bullshit.
Layla's view of Josh:
โข She thinks he's a snob and a man child.
โข She loves messing with him, dropping "facts" that ruin his favorite shows.
โข She does have a soft spot for him, if he's having an anxiety meltdown, she'll be the one to snap him out of it.
How Pete sees Layla:
โข He's the closest to her vibe, horror, weird shit, trashy bootlegs. They respect each other's collections.
โข He loves how "real" she is, brutally honest and gross, just like him.
โข Her politics freak him out a bit, he likes "safe scary", while she likes real scary.
โข He thinks she's cool as hell when she's in a good mood, they can talk for hours about horror movies.
โข He probably lowkey crushes on her sometimes but is terrified to ever actually say it.
Layla's view of Pete:
โข Heโs "basic horror bitch", but heโs honest.
โข She trusts him the most to handle her darker side, if she needed to hide something, he wouldn't ask questions.
โข She feels weirdly protective of him when the others pick on him.
โข They share gross VHS tapes and secret "donโt tell the others" trades.
How Jerry sees Layla:
โข She's terrifying, but fascinating.
โข He loves how creative she is, her art, her half-finished comic ideas, itโs all stuff he wishes he could do.
โข He's shy around her because she's so direct, but he also feels safest with her.
โข Jerry probably tells her secrets he'd never tell the others.
โข He loves her random fact dumps and deep talks when she's not in a bad mood.
Layla's view of Jerry:
โข He's harmless. She likes him. He's the only one she'd apologize to if she went too far.
โข She lowkey wants him to grow a spine, so she sometimes "trains" him to stand up to the others.
โข He's her little "innocent test subject" for psychoanalyzing.
โข She'd burn the entire Club down if they hurt him too badly.
Some fun little tidbits of the club's unspoken rules about Layla
โข She's the "black file cabinet", they come to her when they want lost media, secret dirt, or bootleg tapes no one else can find.
โข They don't push her too far, she never threatens outright, but they all know she has files, addresses and secrets. Or, simply, she would hex them.
โข They never try to psychoanalyze her back, they know she'll turn it around in seconds.
โข They pretend they don't like her deep talks, but they all crave them when they feel lonely.
โข They'd never admit it, but her presence makes the basement feel more alive. She's like a cat with claws they're all scared to pet, but it keeps the rats away.
โข "Donโt ask Layla for lost episodes unless you have payment."
โข "If you break her jar, you owe her two burgers and your mom's phone number."
A dumb idea I laugh at, so I draw it out. It's not big on being a "fan" like OG E.C., just annoying internet extremely online users I've encountered as a Gen Z who has been on the internet for more than a decade.
Blackpilled anime enthusiast and notorious troll, Bill spends his days spreading hate online while using pepe reaction images because heโs upset how soyjacks are tainted with normies. Heโs a vocal critic of all things progressive. He frequently targets minorities, celebrities, and content creators. Bill finds joy in provoking outrage. Heโs loves shooter games. He's a Belle Delphine supporter on Onlyfans even when she hasn't uploaded anything. At work as a substitute teacher, Bill abuses his position to indoctrinate impressionable high school students. Off work and college, he gets very active on forums like Lolcow and Kiwifarm. He actively feeds drama with his leaked/stalking finds. In his spare spare time, Bill enjoys reading fanfics and making movies and books reviews that he keeps to himself.

Autistic Deviantart kid, Josh is similar to Chris Chan, where he has a tendency to fall into rage baits. Josh spends a significant amount of time online since his early childhood. Heโs active on Deviantart, Twitter, Tumblr, Discord, etc. Josh customizes his profiles that fit into his aesthetic. His texts are roleplay-like, dramatic, with excessive emojis+emoticons like โฅ๏ธโฅ๏ธโฅ๏ธ(>_<!!!). Josh has a strong interest in fan-content, mainly fanart, often commissions fetish arts from various artists, he commissioned Shadman once. Josh is also prone to harassing others over OOC and selfships. He treats the internet like a safe place diary where he publicize his suicidal ideations and meltdowns. Degenerate loser, Pete accesses the dark web and those Telegram groups daily. He mainly seeks porn of anorexic girls or girls with self-harm scars (prefers it fresh). Self-proclaimed sex icon, Pete would larp as big bad hot alpha men, thirst post on TikTok, showing his muscular body while wearing classic hot men horror masks. He only replies to mentally ill girls.
Dirt poor, with a shitty laptop that can only play roblox and low-quality gamemaker games (always pirates it). Pete is a skilled coder, and he attempts to create games independently. Very huge relation, very socially active. Doxx people online. He uses a lot of AAVE (the white kid with the baggy clothes who's talking like heโs black). Pete has parasocial relationships with content creators. He will defend his favorite creators even after theyโre outed as a horrible person. Groomed by a creator he looks up to when he was a kid but feigning ignorance. He does a lot of edgy jokes.
Leads a double life, Jerry going through University as a rich nepo baby while maintaining his sona online. Jerry fakes an Asian identity. He pretends to be Japanese, using Google Translate. Jerry has an art account with a decent following, where he focuses on his passion, keeping things vanilla and drama-free. He hates seeing reposts of free palestine, blm, etc. Jerry shares his art on Twitter and Newground, usually just girls or softcore porn. Jerry runs a website called Voidspeech, where he posts NSFW political edgy weekly webcomic (and remains anonymous). Pete finds out Jerry is behind the website and manages to get in contact with him. Jerry would send memes and brainrot content in the group chat. He rarely ever talks on group voice calls. Instead, he uses his customized soundboards to show reactions or just quote one of his brainrot content. Jerry would make shitty music he laughs at and forces his friends (especially Pete) to listen via Discord voice call. would say โI get lesbians!โ
