My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style.

It's over already?!
This three day weekend was absolutely wonderful, but has gone by way too soon. Friday night: Our best friends arrived and we started off the weekend with beer and Cards Against Humanity. Dinner was at Chevys (with large frozen strawberry margaritas and my goodness the taquitos were wonderfully delicious). Saturday: Breakfast at a local diner (I splurged and got French toast..it was glorious) and drove to Annapolis to possibly walk around but decided against it when there were people everywheree. Dinner at Longhorn and then a relaxing night drinking at the apartment, drinking games, and late night pizza. Sunday: Our friends left early and it was just sad because I wish we were by them all the time. Once every couple months is way too long. Job searching is on the table and once our lease is up (hopefully sooner) we are outta here and off to better things near family and friends. Ron bought some golf clubs off of Craigslist so we headed to the driving range! He tested his out and I practiced with mine since I haven't been in ages. & I did good you guys!! With some pointers from Ron and with the practice I've had, it was great! I can't wait to get to go to an actual course sometime soon. We had five guys for dinner and went to see the new X-men. I have never seen one of the X-men movies but this one made me want to binge watch all of the rest of the movies. So good, I loved it! Monday: Today was a relaxing day. Woke up, worked out, laundry, grocery shopping and cooked dinner. Nothing too crazy, and now watching tv and drinking a beer. I am so not ready to go back to work tomorrow, can't we have just one more day?
Maybe home is nothing but two arms holding you tight when youâre at your worst.

these literally just changed my mood
Holy crap.
I clicked over and you can get these full-size works for really cheap today. Itâs taking a lot for me to not order a lot of them.
(Recreations of originals, but still oil on canvas by the artist, so⌠I want them all)
Six simple rituals: 1. Drink a glass of water when you wake up. Your body loses water while you sleep, so youâre naturally dehydrated in the morning. A glass of water when you wake helps start your day fresh. 2. Define your top 3. Every morning ask yourself, âWhat are the top three most important tasks that I will complete today?â Prioritizes your day accordingly and donât sleep until the Top 3 are complete. 3. The 50/10 Rule. Solo-task and do more faster by working in 50/10 increments. Use a timer to work for 50 minutes on only one important task with 10 minute breaks in between. Spend your 10 minutes getting away from your desk, going outside, calling friends, meditating, or grabbing a glass of water. 4. Move and sweat daily. Regular movement keeps us healthy and alert. It boosts energy and mood, and relieves stress. 5. Express gratitude. Gratitude fosters happiness. Each morning, think of at least five things youâre thankful for. In times of stress, pause and reflect on these things. 6. Reflect daily. Bring closure to your day through 10 minutes of reflection. Asks yourself, âWhat went well?â and âWhat needs improvement?â

The way this jerk coworker talks about the numerous women he goes out with makes me thank god I no longer have to worry about dating. Talking about how all these women want to fall in love with you (which I highly doubt) and how you have to let them down easy because you don't want to tie yourself down, does not make you attractive it makes you look like an asshole. Please, take your huge gross head and move it out of my hearing range.
Donât hang out with people who donât love you. Donât try to impress people who arenât worth it. Donât try to win people over who arenât worth it ⌠Focus on the people who are really awesome and who love you.

One year from today will be my first full day as the wife to my favorite guy on the planet. I am so excited, and it was awesome to be in NJ this weekend with our amazing friends! In a year we will get to celebrate our special day with these amazing people by our side and I cannot wait. We are so lucky and blessed and the sooner we get our butts up here for good, the happier we both will be!
Youâll be fine. Youâre 25. Feeling unsure and lost is part of your path. Donât avoid it. See what those feelings are showing you and use it. Take a breath. Youâll be okay. Even if you donât feel okay all the time.

It is so nice out and I am so happy to be on our way to friends that I don't even care that I have to pretend to nap in order to not have a heart attack from Ron's driving...
