A Muslim man on his way to morning prayer has been shot and stabbed outside a mosque in Houston, Texas. Mohammed Imaduddin, a spokesperson for the Madrasah Islamiah Masjid Noor mosque near Bellaire, told news local news agencies the victim was a doctor, who had parked along the street before walking towards the mosque for the morning service. Witnesses said the victim was appraoched by three masked men on foot before being stabbed without warning.

Witnesses said the victim was appraoched by three masked men on foot before being stabbed without warning.
One of the individuals pulled out a gun and shot him, before the three attackers fled from the scene.
“It is very scary right now given the current political climate,” Mr Imaduddin told news station ABC 13, adding that there were children outside at the time of the incident.
“From what I hear, this is the third incident this week in the Houston area involving a Muslim getting shot. This is a community place, we have kids that come here, we have people young and old comes here.”
Investigators say the doctor was shot twice, and will remain in ICU for 24 hours, but is expected to survive his injuries. There is no known motive known for the attack.
The incident comes the day after another Muslim man was beaten up outside a mosque in Florida.
Saying that Asian American antiblackness completely deflects our own perpetuation of the principal. Asian Americans have owned slaves, Asian Americans have taken advantage of black share croppers in the South, Asian Americans have gone to court to legally define that should NOT be racially categorized as black.
To say that we never saw black people before westernization/ immigration to the west denies the facts of history and past patterns of trade and travel.
To say that our own cultures do not harbor strong feelings of shadeism and classism is a denial of the uglier parts of our heritage.
To say that e Asian countries still do NOT take advantage of African people and resources is complete ignorance. To say that we should not be responsible for the actions of our community… Disgusting.

to me it looks like he’s currently working for the Overland Park police department, which is a suburb of KC. Most departments around here have a rule that you have to live in the community you serve. I had to dig to find the complaint process but here’s the number I found:

Shark bites Florida beach-goer and refuses to let go
On Sunday, a Florida beachgoer got more than she bargained for when a nurse shark swimming near her sank its teeth into her arm and refused to let go. The 23-year-old woman was swimming off the waters of Boca Raton, Florida, when the incident occurred. Why the shark wouldn’t let go.
can we just point out that the article said she was DELIBERATELY IRRITATING THE BABY SHARK before it bit her? honey, you pissed it off, you deserved to get bit, and it died because you wouldn’t LEAVE WILD ANIMALS ALONE.

BECAUSE YOU FUCKING KILLED IT, IDIOT! has no one ever heard of rigor mortis? you kill an animal, the muscles lock up! god, the tone of that article saying “why wouldn’t it let go”–talk about ascribing malicious intent to something that’s DEAD. it didn’t release its grip because it COULDN’T because THEY FUCKING KILLED IT. it wasn’t holding on to be an asshole. the asshole in this story is the woman who was fucking with it, making it feel so threatened by a creature many times larger than it, that it struck out in self defense in the only way it could.
also how it says “a nurse shark swimming near her” like it was this random thing, this woman minding her own business and OMFG SUDDENLY VICIOUS SHARK OH NOES! bet you money that shark was desperately trying to get AWAY before this happened. nurse sharks are some of the least aggressive sharks there are!
Whenever people get bit by nurse sharks it’s because they were doing something really stupid to irritate it. Carpet sharks have literally no reason to bite people unless they are trying to get away from them. I remember seeing a video of a guy that thought it would be funny to pick a shark up and kiss it and when he tried it with a nurse shark it bit him right on the lips. Why? Because you don’t do that shit to wild animals!
