Either way, thank you all for following me. Sora is a different muse from the others I’ve played so I’m excited to be writing as him. That being said, I do need some practice and hopefully in the future, some criticism as well because when I pick up a new muse I am always completely dedicated.

OutofLight ---; Even though I have almost no reason to be here [all my threads have gone nowhere lol] 

I REALLY wanna roleplay with a Kairi willing to do a thread where we venture into what goes on when Sora saves her all the way up until their final conversation on Destiny Islands during the ending of KH3. 

The limitless possibilities is so excited and it brought me back on this boy! Haha.

Beneath the Moon

♔ - Heart racing, his eyes shot open and a reticent gasp left pale red lips as he rose from his slumber. Warm droplets of sweat trickled down his temple, his chest rising up and down as he attempted to catch his breath. For a moment he didn’t understand why he was in his current state, his mind was both taking in his surroundings and trying to remember what had transpired prior to this. 

Just then the images came back – a nightmare which beckoned the painful memories of him losing everyone during the last battle.  However, instead of the happy ending he received in reality, he was haunted by the idea that he was unable to save everyone and ended up alone, falling into a never-ending abyss.  

Calming his breathing, Sora looked out the window and listened to the waves gently hitting the beach, eyes resting on the beautiful starlit sky as it brought him solace. He snickered and rested a sweaty palm against his forehead, feeling foolish for becoming so panicked. Within minutes, the brunet kicked up sand between his toes, hands in his pocket as he marched just along the edges of where the water kissed the earth. 

The gentle cool breeze brought forth the scent of sea salt and danced along his spiky brown strands. Feeling as if he was not alone, he turned and saw Namine resting a few feet away seemingly preoccupied within her thoughts. A tilt to the head expressed his wonder just before he marched toward her. “Namine…?” Her name left his lips delicately – a pang of regret always came when addressing her; as if he had the right to act like he completely remembered her. 

“What are you doing out here alone this late?”

“What now?” Vanitas asked in a low tone as he looked at Sora. “What are we going to once, Master ..I–I mean my Ex- Master, figures out..that I’ve betrayed him and changed sides? I no longer have the intention, of forming the X-Blade..he’s going to —” Vanitas shook his head, his face and tone remaining emotionless as he stood there. “It’s just something, that you and the other wielders of Light…need to know.” He looked down at his hands. “Are you still willing to allow me, to stand beside you..knowing, he will hunt me?” 

♔ - An inquiry thrown his way forced the young man from his cogitations, azure irises depicting his trance of wonder – a tilt to the head with his index finger and thumb gently gripping his chin. “What now?” He mimicked mentally, wondering how to best reply to him.  His heart fluttered with joy that he had won Vanitas over to his side but anxiety still festered. 

He knew the others wouldn’t be so as accepting and he wondered how he could even explain how they should learn to trust him when Sora couldn’t even put into words why he was so easily convinced that Vanitas no longer walked the path of destruction. It was just something he felt – a bet he was willing to put his heart on. 

Standing up straight, a glimmering smile was given to the other, warmth radiating along his persons. “…Don’t ya worry about that!” He threw up a fist in excitement. “When the time comes we will deal with it!” He reassured with a powerful display of optimism.

♔ -    The sound of the waves dancing with the shore filled the brunet with a feeling of nostalgia. It had been a very long time since the taste of bitter sea salt floating in the air kissed his face. Home – what an emotional word; he didn’t realize how much he missed it until he finally made it back to Destiny’s Island.  

Alone he sat in the sand, one leg outstretched while the other was propped up so his elbow could rest over it. He stared at the stars in the sky, knowing they were so much more than just little twinkling lights and smiled. It was then the sound of another walking broke him from his cogitations. 

Turning his attention, he stared with wonder at Aqua. A smile stretched from the edges of his mouth before he said, “Hey there, Aqua!” Company was something he never minded. Once she was close enough he did lower his tone and he sounded rather solemn instead of boyish when he said,

 “…Can’t sleep either huh?” -   His gaze adverting to the ocean before him.

OutofLight --; Honestly, my muses. I do not think I can even imagine playing a character that I did not either see my own reflection in or somehow feel some sort of deep connection/relation with because then my writing wouldn’t be coming from the heart - it wouldn’t feel real or genuine.

and It’s hilarious to me that I’d say or feel that way because...these characters ARE indeed fictional. But like in all of my other blogs, when I am writing I put myself in their shoes and I write my muses very naturally. 

Of course some more than others - Garnet from FF9 has been my spirit since I was 11 years old.

But yeah, if we wanna look into an answer to this from another perspective, I’d definitely say without a doubt it would be my roleplay partners. Without fail, I’ve found that my partners bring out the best in me - they help me grow with my muse and with my writing. Without them, I wouldn’t even be here writing at all!

Immediately his mind began venturing into the possibilities on how he could make her ‘wish’ possible. “Well let’s see, I know a certain chef that makes really great stuff when he cooks!” He snapped his finger with a grand smile as he said, “I know! I can bring you back one - AND WE CAN SHARE IT!” He giggled happily before throwing his arms behind his head and saying, “I have no idea what a Valentine’s Day is but I’m almost completely positive I can getcha that pie!”

♔ -   A parade of stars filled azure irises which was fixated upon the calming night sky.  The bright heavenly body forced the ocean’s tides to dance deeper, all but climbing ashore and taking away whatever found rest there during the dawn; the campfire wood everyone laughed around before going to bed. Silence allowed the young man’s thoughts to settle and maturate – wonders that he could not situate while being in the bright and lively company of others.  His palm rested over his heart – trying to settle the mixture of emotions which stirred within. 

The war had been won but the true battle has yet begun – even though it was evident that the light had secure its victory; with the joyous warmth of everyone around him who once was lost in the dark, Sora found it hard to sink into it all. To truly bathe in the idea of peace and that for once he did not need to leave his loved ones or become separated by them in order to get one step ahead to end everyone’s strife. 

Thus, he remained restless and concerned to let his guard down. A voice broke the young boy from his cogitations, his body slightly jumping at the realization that he was not as alone as he thought.  Shifting his gaze from the sky, he turned his attention to the voice. “…Ventus?” He said half joking – honestly sometimes it was too difficult for him to tell them apart. He winced his eyes and realized the slight difference in hair tones. “…OH! Roxas! Sorry.” He scratched the back of his head sheepishly, a boyish smile curved upon his pale red lips as he chuckled. In response to what his other half had said, Sora leaned back against the wooden structure, one hand in his pocket as he stared off at the beautiful ocean. 

 They wanted to leave Destiny’s Island as a group of three and returned with a big family– how funny. “…Hm. Nothin’ really.” He said lightheartedly.  A deep breath gingerly inhaled as to compose his nerves. “…Just feels weird -  it’s all over.” He allowed the silence of wisdom before placing his hand over his chest again. “Kinda hard to just...relax after all that has happened, ya know?”   He carried on to say in an earnest tone.

”...Sometimes I feel like imma wake up and find out all of the time we spent the last couple of days was just a cruel dream - that I’d have to continue on fighting.” The truth on why he was too anxious to fall asleep most nights.

“ Lazy bum, it's time to turn that frown upside down! ” Kairi's index fingers move to touch the corners or Sora's lips, pulling them up to form a smile. “ Now... that's MUCH better! ”

♔ -    A rarity it was for the bright soul to dim into the depthsof despair. But the storm has come and left its destruction over the hero’sheart. With sunken shoulders and eyes wavering to the ground, Sora’s mind left allthat was around him and focused rather on his failures. Uncertainties he triedis best to bury began to dig its way out and fester –  all of this strength and still he couldn’tprotect those dear to him when the time called for it. “…I can never keep mypromises.” Finally he broke the silence and said solemnly.

 A heavy sigh escaped his pale redlips. “…I’m sorry, Kairi.” She had been injured and even though he had casted aspell of cure to rid the wound, the thought and hurt lingered still. Squeezinghis fingers into his palms, angry at himself, the brunet was being haunted byall the other times he failed. It was in that moment, her cheerful and tendervoice broke him from his cogitations. His heart jumped, its wounds almostshaking right off at the mere sound of her playful nature.

 A nickname hecarried fondly easily snapped him away from his doubt. Azure irises shiftedfrom the ground and stared at the redhead in shock at her enthusiasm. Once herfingers began forcing a smile from him, Sora began fussing about and makingnoises as he tried to talk – almost confused as to what had gotten into her in atime like this. Still, the mere thought that she was trying to lift his spiritswarmed his heart. A genuine smile was given in return to her efforts. 

Despiteenduring like he had, she did not lose heart or hope – that moved him.  He gently placed his hands over the two ofhers that spread out his mouth and giggled before taking them away. “Hehe –thanks Kairi.” Just like that he was won over. “You seem to always know what todo when I’m down.” Proudly he gave her a golden smile before letting go of herhands and lightly slapping his hands onto his face in a way to refresh himself. After putting his arms back at his sidehe asked,

 “…Are you sure you’re alright?”

♔ -  A unfamiliar voice echoed through the darkness of slumber, forcing his eyelids to wince before gingerly opening. At first his gaze was a blurred mess. “Sir…?” That kind of etiquette was foreign to him and it was puzzling to hear anyone address him as such. That being the first thing ringing in his head depicted how out of reality he truly was. Rising up, he shook away the dirty water he unfortunately found himself lying face down in. A groan escaped pale rose lips as the young hero shook the stupor from his persons. 

Azure irises gaze over at the stranger, finally putting his voice which woke him to a face. A look of confusion greeted the man as Sora was finally completely coming to. “…I’m alright-“ He said turning his attention to his surroundings before rising up to his feet. A pang hit against his chest as he tried to remember what transpired before waking up – not being able to instantly pick through the memories filled him with anxiety. Turning to the man he said, 

“…Wha – what is this place?!”

♔ -  Silence filled the streets and left an eerie feeling over the rather fearless young hero. Isolated within a foreign city, he carelessly walked over puddle after puddle as his eyes were fixated on his surroundings. Towering glass buildings with over a hundred floors but in absolutely none of them – was there a sign of life. Despite being an island boy, his travels had filled him with enough experience to know that large cities like this never sleep and are always filled with people. Anxiety began to fester as he tried to make sense of this seemingly dead place.

 But without his friends, he felt vulnerable and to no avail did his composure return. Instead, his confusion and fears bubbled within his chest and his usually warm smile was flat and its flesh bit into. Words desperately crawled its way up his throat but he refrained from speaking in fear that something he had never faced would greet him. Yet, Sora tried his best to recall what transpired before waking up in this forsaken place.

 It was an experience like never before – waking up in unfamiliar grounds scared and feeling empty. The last image was of Kairi’s tearful face just as the sun was beginning to set back on Destiny’s island. He paused in his tracks – finally realizing that he had completely faded away . Again, he gazed at everything around him. This couldn’t be where lost souls ventured too. So where was he? Irritated, he let out a sigh before summoning the courage to call out.

“…Hello? Is anyone there?”
