What a great book... it broke me, put me back together and then broke me again.... 😭😭😭

Rufus and Mateo are so well written (especially Mateo is too good for the world). The story is heart breaking and the side characters are great!

They both die at the end made me cry and left me emotionally exhausted on a new level but I loved every second of it! 😍😍😍😍

Headcanoning hard on this one, but I figure they'd pick out a sofa like the Vimle, which has a low back so Simon can drape his wings behind it comfortably. This would naturally entail them needing to test his wings out by Baz casting a nothing to see here and Simon half-stripping on the Ikea showroom floor.

Please don’t be mad at me, y’all. I just found the entire blocking of this scene so powerfully gut-wrenching, I had to get it out of my system before I moved onto anything happy. From the wand held between them to the fallen wings to Baz’s desperation and Simon’s resistance, every sentence felt designed to run us through, and I totally dug it.
