me at any point of any day: i feel weird
hands up if youâre sad, stressed, tired and really craving romantic affection
I took some screenshots of this video, about âleftover womenâ in China, women who are unmarried and over the age of 25. I took screenshots every time someone said something that created a picture with the subtitles that justâŠ. resonated with me. Something women can truly understand.
These women deserve to be heard.
Drag queen Phi Phi OâHara recreates 90s cartoons
Drag queen, artist and chameleon extraordinaire Phi Phi O'Hara is chronicling her #365DaysOfDrag project on Instagram. As part of the year-long project, O'Hara limited her subject matter for a time to iconic cartoon characters of the â90s â and they are amazing.

why is my sister mad that I did the laundry
Me, every time I do the laundry: Why is life hard?
Itâs happening
I just love the myth of Persephone, i mean the real, original version of it, because itâs not like she got kidnapped, no, this bitch was la-de-da-ing in a meadow and she just happened to find an entrance to the Underworld and she was like âImma check this outâ. And she just wanders into the Underworld and discovers that hey this place ainât too bad.
Meanwhile Hades is in the background â????? UM??? PRETTY GIRL??? WHY ARE YOU HERE?????? YOU ARENâT DEAD???âÂ
And Persephone (who was originally called Kore just a little fyi) just looked at him and said âI like it here. Iâm staying.â
And Hades kinda just went with it, until Demeter started throwing the temper tantrum of the millenium upstairs and Zeus had to intervene because this shit was getting out of hand and its actually his job to be admistrator of justice. Which considering the shit he gets up to is kinda histerical but thatâs another story there.Â
And basically Persephone wasnât a prisoner or kidnap victim at all she just really loved the Underworld and her (eventual) husband, and the Greeks feared her arguably more than her husband because Hades could be reasoned with but Persephone was the one laying the smack down on sinners, and really, who wouldnât be at least a little scared of someone whoâs name means something along the lines of âthe destroyerâ
Basically, Persephone is amazing and everbody needs to get on her level
i think the best part of that myth is that Zeus decided to change Koreâs name to Persephone (basically âthe one who brings chaosâ) only because she wanted to stay in the underworld and SHE WOULDNâT FUCKING LISTEN then Zeus, all-mighty king of the gods, kinda gives up and goes âfine, but youâre going to visit your momâ âalso, I changed your nameâ âget rektâ
Also, if Iâm not mistaken, Kore means âlittle girlâ so imagine going from that to âchaos bringerâ
I mean, going from little girl to chaos bringer sounds like a p solid deal to me, sign me up.

A condom that changes colour when it comes into contact with sexually transmitted infections has been invented by a group of school children.
The âS.T.EYEâ has a built-in indicator to detect infections such as chlamydia and syphilis, turning a different colour depending on the strain of bacteria present.
It is the brainchild Daanyaal Ali, 14, Muaz Nawaz, 13 and Chirag Shah, 14, pupils at Isaac Newton Academy in Ilford, Essex, who wanted to âmake detecting harmful STIs safer than ever beforeâ without the need for invasive tests.
Daanyall said: âWe created the S.T.EYE as a new way for STI detection to help the future of the next generation.

When does this hit the shelves?
This is incredible!!
âSan Diego Comic-Con always holds a few animation surprises, but this yearâs biggest one also marks a historic moment for the American animation industry. Yesterday in a panel devoted to Steven Universe, an attendee asked about the showâs inclusion of LGBTQ themes, to which creator Rebecca Sugar answered that itâs based on her own experiences as a bisexual woman.
Sugarâs admission drew applause from the audience. She seemed temporarily thrown off balance by her own statement, but after a few moments, she elaborated on the subject. âThereâs an idea that these are themes that should not be shared with kids, but everyone shares stories about love and attraction with kids,â she said. âSo many stories for kids are about love, and it really makes a difference to hear stories about how someone like you can be loved.â
âItâs very important to me that we speak to kids about consent, that we speak to kids about identityâŠâ she continued, before admitting that there was far too much she wanted to say about the subject. âI want to feel like I exist, and I want everyone else who wants to feel that way to feel that way too.â
Sugar has forged new ground, letting her audience know once and for all that her creative choices have been deliberate, and in the process, opening doors for other artists who want to use animation to tell personal stories in the same way that mainstream creators in other art forms do.â
If men stopped workingâŠthe world would continue on.
If women stopped working, then things would get ugly.
What?
there has been an instance where this happened. it was 1975 and icelandic women decided not to work for one day. working as in cooking, cleaning, taking care of the children, doing chores and so on, not only ânot showing up to your workplaceâ. women did nothing that day, except showing up in reykjavik and protesting for gender equality, equal pay and equal representation in parliament, you know, cool stuff. you know what happened? havoc. men were left with food to cook and children they never took care of to pick up from kindergarden and entertain for the day. they went en masse to the food shops buying sausages because they could cook nothing else, they had to bond with children they never spent more than a couple hours a day with. they struggled combining their work day and the domestic tasks they had to sort out. and this just for one day. iceland in 1975 stopped working and things indeed got ugly. so ugly that women in the following decades became woke AF and soon it happened that women became president, took half of the seats in parliament and achieved one of the best living environments in the world. is your astonishment solved now?
Hereâs an article on it
Very true.
people who are like âyeah, but iâm sure the same thing would happen if men left the workforce!!!â not really tho bc look at WWII??
ok but if they donât even attempt to finish you after you finish them, a conversation must take place

Summer means poor children are not getting 2 free meals a day at school so if youâre able, please consider donating to your local food bank.
Until September 2nd, if youâre under 18, you can receive free lunch at public library branches in NYC (proof of age shouldnât be required), and from trucks at certain locations around the city. Some schools should be open and providing them, too!!
This is so helpful for anyone that needs it!
here is a website where you can find similar programs based on your location.
These links are so helpful and Iâm glad to spread them!
But for those of you in a position I still urge you to donate to your local food bank. Their supplies run low in summer as not everyone has access to or knows about programs like these.
