The Princess of Pixie Hollow and the Warden of the Winter Woods

Another Clarion and Milori art! Inspired by Chapter 19's Winter Ball❄️ Oh, how I love them so much!💛 On another note, I had to make a design for Milori's wings out of my own imagination! I picture his wings to be like the marks of skates on ice, and in certain times, it would be like the graceful cracks on the glaciers that he dutifully guards during his time as a warden. Just a headcanon, though! And of course, I'll continue daydreaming about Wings of Starlight by @/allisonhsaft on Instagram!✨ There's still so many things scenes I want to draw, so many moments I'd love to storyboard as well! But alas, I'm still drowning in my thesis film production 💔 Wings of Starlight really is my rest during these stressful times.

HELLOOOOO!! I'm doing well, thank you! (I'm not, actually😭). I wanted to go back to writing SO BAD but life just uprooted me on the spot and I got a major burnout + I got busy with org work, school work, commissions, and everything in between :'> the stress of moving out might've contributed, too, and also adjusting to the language and the city (I'm a born and raised provincial girl moving to the capital with minimal practice in the spoken language so it's haaard)

But right now, I'm currently working on my Thesis Film, finally! Once we finish up producing the film, we'll be defending it this April and submitting it to film festivals. I feel super inspired now, so maybe I can go back and finish my WIPs, and yes, I still can't forget all the Wakanda Forever fics that I've written; I'm probably going to be updating those after my defense!

Wish that Tumblr shows you who reported so that creators can block them.

Tumblr will likely never do that in order to protect the person reporting it. I really wish it would auto block after a certain number of flags, but Tumblr would probably again say they need to protect that person so others don't retaliate. But it's okay to give people a tool to censor and basically harass people.

There are users that it's truly the algorithm or the bots. For a good chunk of us, however, it isn't. Because it's the fluffiest of fluff or EVERY fic getting flagged for some and nothing for others. I don't want anyone to have their fics or creations flagged. We work hard on them. We put the warnings in. That should be enough.

You know what I do when I see something that isn't a character or kink I enjoy? I scroll by. It's that easy. Just leave us alone and let us produce our content.

Extra clarification for another nonnie: We understand that people who have enabled the mature content can see posts and the labels are reliable when used properly.

But when a writer posts a FLUFF fic or a navigation post that gets flagged immediately and the site makes you jump through hoops to have the label removed? Or creators getting flagged moments after every post they make? That's a flaw.

From where im standing, the community labels have done more harm than good 🤷🏽‍♀️ if this was supposed to be a step further than filtering, they shouldn’t have made it such a punishment for the people being flagged an absolutely nothing for the person flagging. It’s an uneven distribution of power, treating the flagged person like the bad guy and really hamstringing them while the person flagging can just continue unchecked? With no one to answer to? It’s not fair

I'll most definitely be posting A Vow first! I didn't want to break the order I posted my fics so I wanted to finish The Request series first before jumping into Rainbow Jasmine.

Also because I'm taking my sweet time with Rainbow Jasmine since I estimate that it would reach the 20K word range HAHAHAHAHA it's a lengthy fic like His Timeless Love and I'm making sure that the research is accurate before I post anything! That fic is quite literally a condensation of every available folklore I could fit from the Philippines and putting it into one doc HAHAHAHAHA

In Rainbow Jasmine, there is one scene in particular that is heavily based on its source material. I want to do it justice but at the same time make it easy for everyone to consume (since it does include a sensitive scene that others might see as upsetting, which is valid!) I'm currently writing that scene out now and the amount of times I had to change it is very very intimidating AAAAAAAAAAA

In Part 3 of A Request, I can't wait to finish writing the battle between Wakanda and Talokan! Princess!Reader has such a significant role in the battle, and the aftermath of it is gonna deviate from the original and I'm AAAAA

I can't elaborate much, but in Rainbow Jasmine, I can't wait to finish writing the end scene! I already have it drafted and ready, and I can't wait for everyone to realize why I titled the one shot as Rainbow Jasmine. The title is such a big thing to the fic and UGGHHHH I can't wait to hurt everyone's hearts when the title drops in the end

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE OKAY OKAY OKAY OKAY SCREAMS here's a cute little snippet of Rainbow Jasmine!

“Langyaw.” Stranger, you called out. Namor had to hide an amused smirk as you stared at the jade of his piercings a little while longer, your eyes twinkling with that same amazement he had seen on the second time he had met you. 

“You call me ‘langyaw,’ but I do not understand you,” he told you in his mother tongue. You couldn’t help but cock your head to the side in curiosity. He chuckled and pointed to himself, “my name. K’uk’ulkan.”

You stared at him while blinking.

“K’uk’ulkan,” he pointed to himself again. “My name is K’uk’ulkan.”

Why was he repeating such a strange word? Was there something you had to know? He gestured to his whole body and gave you a pointed look. 

Oh, that must be his name, you thought.

“K’uk’u-ul—” you tried to say, but his language was foreign to your tongue. He tried again, this time dragging out every syllable and stopping to give you time to adjust to his odd name. 

And finally, with a bit of practice, you called out to him.

“K-K’uk’ulkan.”

He gave you a big smile, the first of many that you were to see from him in the nights to come. It was infectious; you found yourself smiling alongside him as you repeated his name over and over. 

Namor felt as if his spirits were lifted up as soon as you had uttered his name—although the pronunciation could use some work, it was nothing that couldn’t be fixed in a few more days of learning.

It was your turn to point to yourself and gesture to all of you, your giggle chiming through the glowing island like the wind chimes of an eastern hut.

You uttered your name slowly and deliberately, dragging each syllable for him to follow. He did so with ease, and with a few more moments of practice, he could finally say your name as if it was a part of his language. 

You smiled. It has been so long since anyone has said your name.

🗣️Talk about your favourite WIP

OKAY OKAY OKAY!! EEEEE

Okay so my favorite WIP at the moment is definitely Rainbow Jasmine, which is a Namor x Filipino!Diwata!Reader!

The reason why it's taking me so long to post a preview about it is because of the plethora of research I've been doing to make it as accurate to Philippine lore as possible! It's so jampacked with little bits and pieces of folklore, mythologies, and references to a lot of Filipino tales and literature!

I've had to do so much research to geographies, era nuances, even political and religious states of the setting (which I set in a little island in the Philippines to be revealed on the fic release) to make every occurrence in the story have a purpose; where everything is just a chain reaction and a cause and effect of the things colonizers had done to the motherland. Rainbow Jasmine has successfully become a little side research of mine while putting it into writing and I am so excited to share it with everyone!

I can go on and on about Rainbow Jasmine, but alas I might accidentally spoil my own story LMAO HAHAHAHA. All I can say as crumbs is that the WIP is already past 10K words and I'm not even halfway done yet HAHAHAHAHAH. I just hope that it's on par with everyone's expectations!
