me, 21 years old: *still kinda lookin around for cool sticks and odd looking rocks that might reveal latent magical powers*
Please check out my Instagram if you’re interested! I only just started but I’m loving it so far💕🌟🌱 Same username as here! @nendorotchi

K-Pop Sale! [UK Only]
I am a woman of many obsessions. Once upon a time I was obsessed with K-Pop but my collection grew too big and now that more people have moved into my flat I could really do with the space.
Please visit my eBay shop if you’d like to have a look at my listings. I have lots of rare Japanese First Press versions of K-Pop singles. All of my First Press listings come with photo cards, which are very sought after. I’m very careful with my collectables! As you’ll see from the listings, all of my cards are stored in top loaders + sleeves and my albums are in like-new condition. The prices are representative of condition but I’m willing to take reasonable offers.
I can only ship within the UK at this time (sorry everyone else..) but if you are in the UK and looking to buy some rare(ish) K-Pop memorabilia, please take a look!
I have mostly BTS, SHINee and EXO. Also INFINITE and ToHeart. More listings to go up so drop me a message if you’re looking for anything in particular. I might be willing to part with some of my J-Pop stuff too.
Shares appreciated - thank you!
Some SHINee stuff has been sold already but plenty left to browse (+ I added some more). I’ve knocked some money off most of my listings but reasonable offers may still be accepted. Please do take a look! Albums, cards and posters available.
Review: Nendoroid #194 | Mikazuki Yozora (Part 2: Poses)
Alright! I actually followed up with a part 2 for once. Check out part 1 here. A good Nendoroid review simply wouldn’t be complete without a good look the poses GSC intended for the character in question. Mikazuki Yozora’s standard pose (i.e. straight out of the box) is displayed in the picture above! *Warning: Sena will appear in the background of almost all pictures... I love that eye twinkling expression way too much to not include it!*
Yozora’s expression is... a bit pi**ed off. Her hands are balled up a little and her legs are straight. She is posed with her standing skirt and her flowing right (her right) hair piece. For a standard expression, I love the vibes she’s giving off here. Can’t say the same for the next pose, however.
The above pose is the simple awkward one I mentioned in Part 1. Doesn’t it look weird? Or is that just me? The faceplate is cute but I’m not sure it suits her. The kicker is the arm though... I tried using different arm pieces and this combination made the most sense (others made the hand part point downwards), so I don’t think I messed up on that, but it looks a little odd? Maybe I should’ve taken pictures from different angles, I don’t know if it’s translating properly... Either way, I won’t be displaying her like this when she has far more dynamic posing possibilities. If nothing else, that’s a compliment to her!
Here’s a pose I really like! The face part, as I mentioned in my last post, is super expressive and really gives you a taste of her character from the Nendoroid alone. The hand-on-hip arm is an awesome addition too. I’ve included a photo with a focus on the form below.
^ Look at how detailed it is! You can read the characters! ^
An interesting pose that incorporates the additional hair piece is shown above (and in more detail below). I really like this one. As long as you jiggle the piece around a bit, you’ll get an exact hand to hair fit. The left arm here is included solely for this pose, which is a really sweet addition. It fits great against her body too!
Another picture of the hair twirling pose, with a focus on the point of contact between the two parts. I should’ve taken more from different angles to get across how well these pieces fit together. It helps that the hair piece is made from ever-so-slightly bendable plastic.
One of my favourite box poses here! Pi**ed off face and crossed arms. The epitome of Yozora! I love how well the arms fit together and how, by slightly turning her head, the pose looks super dynamic and realistic. As far as simple poses (sans props) go, this is one of my favourites across any of my Nendos. Also Sena’s presence in the background is super prominent in this one, so I’m pretty proud of it.
^ Difficult to believe these arms are separate pieces! ^
The above picture has nothing to do with her poses from the box, I just thought she looked cute when having a tantrum...
Finally, this is how I will be displaying her, sitting next to Sena, doing what they do best... gaming. I’m really happy to own these two and even happier that I’ve got Kobato and Maria on the way too! I can’t wait to take pictures of them all together. I might even re-watch Haganai for some inspo.
Ultimately, my posing/shooting experience with Yozora was mixed. Aside from the stand breaking and an pretty unsuccessful attempt at recreating an awkward box pose, she’s an easy Nendoroid to pose (and Sena in the background of the shoot made it all the more entertaining). I kept getting Yatogami Tohka vibes from her. The dark hair, purple eyes and (what I imagine to be) transferable expressions took me back to watching Date A Live for the first time! I wish I owned Tohka too, I reckon a comparison of the two would be fun.
And with that, I conclude the second part of my Nendoroid Yozora review. Should I review Sena next? Maybe Kobato and Maria when they arrive too? I have a few on the back-burner but your suggestions are very much welcomed! Also, any feedback on the structure of these reviews would be appreciated. Should I go back to using my old review template? Let me know!
Thanks for reading, as always! Emily out^o^)/
@taehan-minguk u the other night... that comparison though
July Loot Post | Nendoroid and Tamagotchi
I’ve been sitting on this post forever with zero time to write out captions/upload but here it is: the first in what I’m hoping will become a long running series of monthly loot posts! Slightly late as we’re already in the third week of August but I did cut off all deliveries from July 31st onwards and stuck exclusively to my July haul. The format of my loot posts is something I’m gonna have to figure out along the way but please enjoy this for what it is(//ω//)
1) Nendoroids
(Pictured left to right) a. Nendoroid Takara Miyuki (#55b) b. Nendoroid Furukawa Nagisa (#869)* c. Nendoroid Asakura Nemu (#140) d. Nendoroid Kashiwazaki Sena (#199)
*Nagisa is posed using Nendoroid After Parts 01 (not strictly included in loot as I purchased this set years ago). Check out her MFC listing for included parts (linked above).
I’ve been looking to buy the Lucky Star girls forever and I’m so glad I got the chance to grab my favourite of the four for a great price from a fellow UK collector. Her colouring is gorgeous and she has quickly become one of my favourite Nendos, despite her old age.
One of my ultimate grail figures (which isn’t actually a Nendoroid at all) is Kotobukiya’s 1/8 Scale Furukawa Nagisa, originally released back in 2005. I scour AmiAmi for her daily but never have I been lucky enough to spot her. When I returned from hiatus and learned that a Nendoroid version had recently been released I yelled. She was the deciding factor in my return to figure collecting (so thanks, Nagisa - but also no thanks)... I ordered her from AmiAmi so no GSC bonus but the green dango is the iconic dango and I don’t mind too much. I’ll treasure lil green even more knowing I only have one. Nagisa is posed on my desk right now using Nendoroid After Parts 01 (linked above) and she makes the cutest little devil. Sorry Homura, I still love you.
Nemu and Sena arrived together in the same box from the seller I’d also bought Miyuki from around a week prior! Proof that authentic Nendos can be found on eBay if you know how to look. Check out my previous post on how to weed out the bootlegs here. Pretty standard poses pictured but oh boy they are CUTE. Full product reviews to come as Nemu seems to have been massively under-appreciated and Sena comes with hecka parts Σ(□_□)
2) Tamagotchi
(Tamagotchi pictured left to right; figures scattered) a. Dream M!x Purple ver. JP* b. Orange and Yellow EN c. Umino Transparent Purple JP d. Tamagotchi Friends Dream School Classmates Figure Set
*Dream M!x decorated with crocheted case (handmade by myself; tutorial to follow), UtaPri Tokiya Strap and Tokyo Disney Sea Minnie Charm (both bought when I lived in Japan in 2016).
My first Hobby Link Japan purchase! I’ve been keen to check the site out for a while but AmiAmi was always my go-to when it came to figures. When I found that HLJ stocked new Tamas I bit the bullet and ordered my first m!x. This is the Dream M!x Purple ver., the first to have Pianitchi available as a marry-able partner! I’ve been running this Tama for a couple weeks and I’m on my third gen. now. Sh*t is getting real. M!x logs have been saved as drafts rn and I’ll post a summary of my first few gens soon!
Okay so I kind of cheated here. These Tamas aren’t mine, they’re my partner’s but he bought them through my eBay account so I’m going to count them! A great little example of a P1 on the left there. English edition with orange and yellow shell and yellow buttons. To the right is a Japanese Umino with transparent purple shell and pink buttons. The Umino was a bit of a challenge to get working initially as it kept resetting (seemingly) randomly. The screws holding the back piece in had been replaced and they were the right diameter but far too short. We switched them out with far longer watch screws and this fixed it up immediately! Took a few attempts to raise a singly tama through to adulthood but he got there eventually.
A small addition to both my figure and tamagotchi collection! I found these guys super cheap on eBay (unboxed) and they’re actually a fair bit bigger and heavier than I was expecting. I’ll be using them as props in future Tamagotchi posts and sitting them up in my bookshelf alongside my Nendoroid overflow.
3) Other
I didn’t grab pictures of these as they didn’t strictly fit in either of my dominant categories, but I also picked up a few misc. items throughout the month!
I spent a little bit of time in London, most of which was wasted in shops (he he). Aside from all the clothes I bought, I did drop by ArtBox to pick up some little souvenirs. I snagged a really fluffy Pusheen keyring. It’s white, pink and purple in colour and has a unicorn horn and wings. Very OTT but I fell in love with it. From the same store I bought a pencil with a squidgy toe-bean charm on the end.
I also bought another Animal Crossing amiibo (photo to come soon, as I did take one, but I left it on my other computerT-T). The lil brown doggo, Digby (or Kent, in Japanese). He sits next to Isabelle, also in my figure overflow. I’m going to keep an eye out for other AC amiibos. My local CEX seems to stock them loose quite frequently!
So that’s everything for July. Not loads, but enough! An ease back into collecting if nothing else. My loot for August is looking thicc so, assuming everything arrives in time, please look forward to that!
Thanks for reading^o^)/ ~Emily
ハレっちに進化した。
Review: Nendoroid #194 | Mikazuki Yozora (Part 1: Parts)
Older Nendoroids deserve rivals *ahem* revivals. That’s why GSC give them re-releases, right? It has nothing to do with profit. The Haganai Nendoroids are among those that I believe need some new life breathed into them. Now I don’t mean the many mashups strewn across MFC using Sena’s billions of included parts, nor the Fujisaki Chihiro custom I’m now tempted to make with Yozora’s arms. I mean fully blown Nendoroid revivals. New appreciation or something idk. I’ll try to relight the Haganai fire in your heart with some figure reviews. If I must be the one to pioneer this, so be it!
Please believe me, I didn’t want this to be a two part thing, largely because I suck at following up and making the second part... But I took SO many pictures of this girl that I kinda had to split it up. This part will discuss...parts. Predominantly those outwith the standard posing of the Nendoroid, i.e. the ‘extras’. The other (which I’ll write prior to posting this to avoid laziness setting in) will look at her poses. She comes with a lot of arm parts, as you can see. I briefly mentioned this earlier but damn do these look like they belong to Chihiro from Danganronpa 3! Side note: why weren’t more Danganronpa Nendos released? I would’ve given my left arm for a Junko Nendoroid... But this has nothing to do with Yozora... Moving on!
The arm sets pictured above are pretty self-explanatory. The left set is used in her ‘crossed arms’ pose and the right are used in her ‘gamer’ pose, which is how she’s being displayed in my detolf rn. These are the most successful of her intended poses, closely followed by a pose I’m gonna go on and on and on about in part 2.
Here we have a left arm with slightly pointed hand. This is used in her ‘hair twirling’ pose. I believe the right arm in the middle is also used in this pose. The piece of hair pictured below is to replace the standard piece of hair when posing her like this. The right arm to the far right of the above pic is her ‘hand on hip’ arm. This is used in her ‘ha! - look at this paper’ pose (idk what else to call it but that seems accurate).
The paper is shown in the picture above, alongside her additional lower body (sitting) and an additional hand, intended for use in a rather simple pose that just looked awkward in practice.
Her additional faceplates are...good. I really like the bottom one, it’s SO expressive and fits her character to a T. The smiling one is a little lacklustre for me. I won’t use it and I don’t really know why GSC didn’t replace it with a more expressive look. (Also it’s used in my least favourite pose... the ‘awkward simple’ one that I’ll display in part 2!)
We have a standard Nendoroid base (standard for her time of release, i.e. not the circle one) and arc. The arc here is shorter than usual as it is included with Nendoroids that have longer hair. Would be great if it hadn’t snapped mid-way through my shoot.
Granted, I did buy her second-hand. I should have known that something like this would crop up. Also it may have been my fault, though I’m still not convinced I’m that strong or that careless. More recent Nendoroid stands have a separate piece at the top of the arc that can twist around for more dynamic poses. Perhaps I subconsciously thought she had this and was twisting her? Though all of her standing poses are pretty linear... I’m tempted to say that the arc had been stressed over time (she was initially released in 2012 after all) and it had just weakened. Maybe GSC changed the top of the arc in later Nendos to avoid this weakening.
If I decided to get really nit-picky, I’d say the following. Nendoroids aren’t perfect. Even your favourite one probably sucks in some tiny, probably inconsequential way. Worn stand and annoying ‘simple awkward’ pose aside, the paintwork on Yozora’s head pieces just didn’t rub me up the right way. The inside is sloppy. This doesn’t matter when she’s displayed in any of the standard poses (or any pose you can think of, assuming you don’t want to leave her partially bald) but Nendoroids exist to be played with! Chopped and changed and posed, time and time again. When the inside of the head, which you’ll have to look at a lot when switching faceplates, is reminiscent of a bootleg, it kinda dampens that whole premium toy experience in my opinion.
I didn’t get any close ups of this next point, but a lot of the paint on display around the outside of her head is a little lacking too. You’ll probably be able to tell from pictures in my next post, but it’s certainly thin in some parts. Now, whether this is to do with fading over time, I can neither confirm or deny. She is second-hand and I assume she was displayed in her previous home. Maybe it is sun damage... but the positioning of the thinner paint pieces leaves me doubtful of that. It does make the hair look more dynamic from afar and I understand that GSC will have done this intentionally for that reason... But up close it’s not the best example of hair paintwork I’ve ever seen.
In terms of parts, I’d rate Nendoroid #194 Mikazuki Yozora as follows:
Variety: 7/10 (compared to her counterpart Sena, she’s somewhat lacking) Faceplates: 6.6/10 (or 2/3 if you will) Paintwork: 8/10 (2 lost purely over the hair pieces)
Overall: 7.2/10
And I don’t think that’s too bad at all.
Part 2: Poses coming ASAP.
