They’re similar to SPG…sorta #In the sense that they’re also a theatrical steampunk band #also the fact that their fandoms tend to overlap #steam powered giraffe #spg #the mechanisms #Each of their albums tell a story (except for Tales To Be Told and Tales To Be Told Vol. 2–which are songs that while being connected to —#—their story albums…are not part of their main stories)#By the way…each of those stories are based around different mythology (Greek…Norse…and Arthurian) or fairytales/classic stories #EXCEPT. They take place in a sci-fi setting #of sorts #I don’t wanna give too many spoilers but that’s more or less the gist of it!#They have a total of 7 albums and 1 single #Two of those albums are the non-linear separate stories (+ lore songs for some of the Mechanisms) and one of them is a live album (plus…the-#-ir last album)#The other four are their story albums #Their single is basically a Mechanisms oneshot

#ALSO. because now all I can think about is this #…Locksmith ALWAYSSSSSS reminded me of Elias while I was listening #and that—alone—I am specifically crazy about #BUT. In regards to Micheal and Gertrude’s whole thing. Locksmith definely shares similarities to her in that regard #also also…Locksmith is so UNBELIVEBLY The Eye to me.#it just so plays into the whole ‘I know more than you…I can see through your facades (despite having a facade of his own)’ sorta thing #ADDITIONALLY #because of how avatars of The Eye—as shown through Jon and Elias—can get people to open up about the things that happened to them MORE #—because when Jon was gone…and everyone tried to get the statements…it was a chaotic jumbled MESS #WHICH. AHHHHHHHHHHGGGHSHSHSHHSHS #UNFORTUNATELY reminds me of the scene where Locksmith opens his hatch in the ‘haunted manor’ scene and gets him to remember being crushed…#…by rocks and his death #No. I am not normal about that moment #shshsgegegevdbejejrhehdvhd…I swear #…every time I think about the Locksmith shit ESPECIALLY WITH JACK the worse it gets #Aside from that though. Michael and Jack got a vaguely similar kinda *waves hands around in the air in a vague gesture* -ness? to them?#idk if that makes sense…but it made me think about Jack and The Spiral more #which is interesting cause’ initially—I had been leaning more towards The Vast for him (primarily cause of the lightning strike)#BUT. That really does work too #Btw…I haven’t even finished TMA (I’m currently half-way through the series) but I’ve been spoiled just a smidge about Michael’s character #especially the situation between him and Gertrude which—and I might be crazy so hear me out—vaguely. you know what terrifies me? i'll tell you what terrifies me. it's the fact that in all of the weekend war panels in the spg comic (drawn and mostly solidified years before red core) rabbit doesn't have a lower jaw (and you can't tell me they were all built like that at the time because the spine has his). AND it's the fact that even in the busking/zoo era performances she kept doing bits abt her jaw falling off and KEEPS doing it. and THEN in 2016 red core drops and we get to discover that ackshually this whole time peter walter 1 ripped off her jaw and then sent her to war. the truth of the matter is that either this is a) the world's most insane coincidence and i'm pepe silvia, or b) that woman has the world's most lock tight rabbit canon lore bible trapped in her brain and she really does do all that on purpose. anyways im not crazy and i never was.

Speaking about Rabbit’s jaw, this personally gets me…in the one clip where Hatchworth, Spine, and Rabbit malfunction and briefly play audio files that were from the Weekend War on stage, Rabbit yells out for “Pappy”. Now, what kills me here is that, due to her not having her jaw fixed until AFTER the Weekend War, she LITERALLY COULD NOT SPEAK. Meaning, when she was calling out for Peter One, she must’ve been THINKING IT. The audio files were from her MEMORIES, specifically strains of thought that she had, DURING THE WEEKEND WAR. This means that when she was desperately calling out for her Pappy, HER FATHER, HE WOULDN’T HAVE EVEN HEARD HER BECAUSE SHE LITERALLY DIDN’T EVEN HAVE A VOICE TO BE HEARD. BECAUSE. OF. HIM. UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. I’M UNWELL.

#To be clear…I’m not 100% what show that clip was from #or whether or not it could’ve been audio files from WWI—the only other war Hatchworth would’ve been involved in—after Rabbit had her jaw…#…’fixed’#I first heard it was audio meant to be from the Weekend War from one of Owlhar ì’s SPG videos on YouTube #I think I had seen the clip before but I don’t remember it explicitly being mentioned that it was Weekend War related #BUT.#Assuming that it IS.#OW OW OW OW OW #MY HEART OWWWWWWWWWWW #OW my heart either way but this hurts MORE I think #steam powered giraffe #spg #reblog #I know this is only loosely related to the original post but I needed somewhere to put this
