Drew some quick character designs today in between bouts of homework.

“I’m a big deal.” -Nora Universe

Me and a friend were talking about an AU that basically had Pink Diamond’s character as the hybrid being raised by the Crystal Gems. And the character quickly came into her own.

Major differences between her and Steven

She’s a little taller than Connie.

She has a closet of thrifted clothes that could rival her Dad’s storage unit in density and diversity, and so her fashion is more diverse than Steven’s.

Her sunglasses are a status symbol and communicate her role as leader of The Crystal Gems, a delusion that Garnet enables. Her plans for defeating monsters normally amount to little more than, “Group up! And hit it til it dies!”

She’s very prone to striking poses and making dramatic speeches.

She has many shallow crushes on the townies, “Oh yeah, Connie I have loads of crushes. Peedee, Peedee’s brother, all three members of the cool kids, you, the mail man, Lars when he isn’t being a dink and Sadie when she is being a dink. Boy, I should really meet more people my age... Oh also Lapis, she’s got a pretty dress.”

Nora is also shameless in her forward flirting to the point that most people don’t take her seriously.

She’s very arrogant, but in a fun way.

Steven’s main strategy for helping his family is mostly to emphasis and communicate with them, where as Nora is more incline to try and keep them distracted. Pearl and Amethyst can’t be fighting if they’re busy trying to keep up with her antics.

And finally, she likely forms her powers in a slightly different order than Steven. Such as her floating power, which is vital for dramatic entrances.
