both very funny and awfully frustrating that people will be like “just because this character is aromantic doesn’t mean they can’t be romance-favourable / in a romantic relationship 🥺” and then the character in question is canonically like “i hate romance so much it’s unreal”

Here’s your warning before you decide to click on this. I am a little crybaby. There is a TL:DR at the end.
I am not tagging this, as personally, I don’t want to be harassed. That will put me in a shitter mood and then I’m an asshole.
I am one of the many people who labels Dr. Captain Ryland Grace as AroAce or Aspec. As this has helped me accept that part of myself, but I like that it’s not a major part of his story. That he doesn’t get romance, that he decided that he will live without it.
A major aspect of Project Hail Mary is the Platonic relationship that blossoms between the two, and I’m not shitting on those who do ship Grace and Rocky, it’s just I hate it. I hate Grocky, I hate Grockian. It feels like we are looking past the most major part of the story, of the movie, and I feel some Grocky Shippers shove Adrian out of the way; just for shipping purposes, which isn’t the case for some, but it is the case for most, I’m not calling anyone out here, that’s not what this post is about.
It’s getting over the fact that their suns are going to die. Their worlds will end because of the Astrophage. Their friendship blossoms over the worst case scenario for both of them. They are both “people” going through basically the end of the world together.
Their crew dies, they bond over being the last ones alive to do this mission, have to overcome fear, and build each other up to where they can complete their collective mission.
Now, again, I’m not trying to shit on anyone, get off on your niche alien human porn, I don’t care. I’m not one to hate on it. Again, this isn’t what the post is about, I’m getting out my feelings.
It’s basically, in my opinion, shipping a married man and someone over half his age, in human terms ig. Again, I am not one to judge problematic undertones in ships. (What I’m mentioning is Massive Age Gaps as Rocky has been in space longer than Grace has been alive.)
I feel like a massive part of myself is being ripped from me, these goobers I love so dearly, their friendship being ripped to shreds for just the sake of shipping. A part of myself I have only recently learned how to accept, and I am navigating daily, still. Representation that I never thought I needed, and/or wanted, but adore nonetheless.
As I’m writing this out, it feels so stupid that I’m complaining about two fictional characters being shipped together, as with that over-generalized statement I would be a very large hypocrite. As I ship BloodyMary, which I do partially have some qualms with, as I see them strictly as a Queer Platonic Relationship, as I believe Simon has too much on his plate for a proper romantic connection, and.. you already know my opinion on Ryland Grace. Simon has escaped from the blood ocean, and now merged and mutated with the thing that wanted him dead, I’m sure he has other things on his plate. But my feelings on this are still entirely valid, I will not be told otherwise.
But it feels like this Fandom, and the actual story is being torn to shreds because of the shipping nonsense.
Now, in the past, I have been allonormative, forcing romance on characters that I can see now, never wanted it. Forcing unhealthy (now identified Hypersexuality) coping mechanisms on characters because I could. (Not to the level of pr0 or Darkshippers but, still unhealthy) as I thought that’s what everyone goes through, now unlearning this mentality, and these habits. Even years later after all the trauma that caused these issues. As in the past I have probably put someone in this space; forcing the character they see as representation for themselves, whatever that might be; and absolutely destroying it, because I decided it “didn’t fit” in my view. I was extremely mentally ill, and not coping well with what had happened to me; those old accounts have been long deleted / deactivated. (Other reasons that I will not delve into, as that’s too much for this post, and I refuse to dump anymore trauma into this.)
This.. got way deeper than I wanted it too, whatever.
TD;DR
I don’t like Grocky, as I feel it takes away from the story, and removes the deep friendship between Grace and Rocky. Also some people shove Adrian away, aka Rocky’s actual spouse which makes me sad; also shoving Grace into a married couple is weird to me.
Damn, we are just. Not Allowed to have deep, caring, and loving platonic relationships in media without fandoms immediately going to find ships between those characters, aren't we?

The short of why I chose Mikey is that his character feels the most fitting, he would be most likely to listen to the Kris of this scenario while his siblings less so. And he would fall harder and be more tragic, like Noelle, because he's that sort of sunshine character.
This is me rambling, if you don't wanna listen to me getting way to into figuring out the logistics of how I'd merge the TMNT 03 and Deltarune and my general incoherent rambling. Then uh. Dont. Lol.
I do believe Mikey fits the role of Noelle in this. He's a sunshine like character, similar to Noelle in a way (shes more jolly due to.. obvious reasons lol) but I do belive he can fit her role.
I chose 2003 Mikey because 1 the plot feels like it fits in 03. 2. While he is usually skeptical, like his siblings, he's also the one who tends to trust faster unless you actively tried to kill him beforehand, atleast from what I've noticed? (I'm still working my way through 03. Don't always have the time). And 3. He would fall harder than his sibs (more tragic seeing someone usually so happy and dorky falling to such a state, like Noelle) and it feels like his siblings would be more willing to ignore Kris (CJ in this) and even fight back against what they're saying, even if in this universe they were like a childhood friend of theirs. Mikey tends to look for authority or guidance, esp when he's uncertain or in unfamilliar situations (again, atleast from what I've noticed or interpreted), which means he'd probably be a bit more willing to listen to CJ/Kris.
Also, Raph fits way more as Susie (not just as CJ's best friend, but also with his anger issues making him feel isolated and the fact that hes way more willing to be rebellious)
Leo and Donnie are hard to place though.
The weird route just feels like a potential fucked up 03 plot to me idk. And I've always enjoyed (well written) stories of the sunshine character slowly loosing their sun, what needs to happen to change them so much, etc. the weird route is just, genuinely such good horror writing to me. So yeah.
So, in this, I like Kris = CJ. Susie = Raph. Noelle = Mikey. Dess = April.
Berdley = Donnie, but obviously reworked to still include the inferiority thing bird boys got and be, y'know. Less annoying and rude, (NO, THE "BERDLY BELIEVES NOELLE HAS A CRUSH ON HIM" DOESNT APPLY HERE. MIKEY AND DON ARE STILL SIBLINGS IN THIS. OBVIOUSLY. Even if they weren't it'd still be weird and gross as hell.)
Splinter = Either Rudy or Carol (depending on how story important ypu want him? Rudy fits his personality more, but Carol is a bit more important).
And Ralsei = I'm actually not too sure. For some reason I'm leaning towards Usagi? (Mainly cause I don't want any of the main cast as darkners. But Usagi isn't technically even from their dimension, so it feels fitting. Hes much more confident than Ralsei, but he does have that sense of duty and I feel that he would also bind himself deeply to the prophecy)
Really dunno who to make Leo. Maybe Asriel? (Just, again, without the shipping of Asriel and Dess in this cause they would be siblings)
Also, no I dont wanna make like, Leo Kris or all the turtles the main 3 + 1. Mainly just because, it doesnt feel fitting. One of the unique things about Kris is that they're abnormal in the town (the only human), so I wanted to keep to that.
The turtles instead would take the role of the other, very important, family in this. The holidays. (April is Dess, since 1- it would explain her absence and help further that slight lonliness CJ would feel and 2- makes sense to me, since shes the turtles sister)

Note: This post is about the shellcord/shellcell drama and its connection to the Weekly Magmas (WM). My main goal is to spread awareness and share my perspective on a situation that, in my opinion, is being largely ignored.
You know? I don’t like creating drama, but I’ve been seeing something happening in the fandom that doesn’t feel normal to me, and most people seem to be overlooking it. Maybe I’m overreacting, but at the same time, by making this post, I want you to know that I’m speaking on behalf of several other adults in the fandom who are also concerned about this situation. I’ll explain it, and then I’ll let you draw your own conclusions.
Are you familiar with the shellcord/shellcell drama? If not, I encourage you to look into the case, which involves grooming allegations and other forms of misconduct.
The main person accused is The Aviary/Abyssal (a groomer), but there were others involved as well, and most of them are no longer very active in the fandom… except for Chila (@/chil-aglia, who has multiple blogs). She was accused, with supporting evidence, of sending two explicit images to minors, engaging in inappropriate roleplay with a minor, continuously defending Abyssal both before and after the grooming allegations, and more. I know firsthand that Chila’s behavior had a negative impact on the victims. Despite all of this, she remains very active in the fandom and continues to participate in the WM on a fairly regular basis.

Although these events took place on a Discord server, what happened there was not normal, and it should not be minimized under any circumstances. So… why is Chila still allowed to participate in the WM?
Note: The weekly magmas (WM, @/weeklymagmas) is a fandom event that has become very popular, and I still believe it’s something very positive in itself. Artists of all ages collaborating and motivating each other to keep the fandom alive. My criticism is not directed at the WM itself.
My concern grew more when I found out that two minors met Chila through the WM and started interacting with her on tumblr because of that. Does that seem right to you? Given this history, I don’t think Chila should be participating in the WM where she’s able to meet and interact with minors. On top of that, I learned that several adults have chosen not to participate because of Chila’s presence. That’s why I decided to get involved and speak directly with Rhys (creator of the WM). And he sent me to a moderator to talk.

I don’t know about you, but all of this seems very messed up to me. Constantly calling the evidence non-substantial? And they refuse to tell me anything else regarding that private evidence, which made the conversation fail to clarify anything for me.
And of course, accused people have the right to defend themselves, just as they have the right to remain silent if they don’t want to speak about it. But I try to put myself in Chila’s position… even if she was innocent and actually had evidence disproving what’s in the document (which I find really complicated) but for some reason chose to stay silent about it… why still attend the WM with such a background? I would stay away from minors and, in general, from large fandom spaces to avoid any issues if it were me. But she continues to participate as if nothing had happened (and meeting minors, as I already mentioned).
But what’s most concerning… why do the WM want to keep that evidence private? They say it’s for privacy… I know they didn’t talk to the victims, for example (as far as I was able to find out), so it seems like the only evidence they care about is the evidence that protects Chila, and it’s private? And don’t they feel obligated to explain to the participants why they’re letting her participate as if nothing happened?
Not to mention they lied about the art theft situation. It’s not false like they say. So to me this all seems, at the very least, highly suspicious and potentially a cover-up. Here I bring firsthand evidence regarding the art theft situation, provided thanks to a copy of the document made by Cimmerian, which was provided by Maple @mapleleavesart (who personally witnessed the art theft when it originally happened).

I’m also aware of other things I won’t disclose that make me even more suspicious of a cover-up. And I’m concerned that what is described in the document is being minimized or not taken seriously. It was VERY serious.
Now, imagine that in this context we find out that there is an NSFW section in the WM discord. And just to be clear, I’m not against NSFW content (I don’t like it, but I’m not against it), as long as it’s in the right place (and doesn't sexualize minors). Even if there are measures in the discord to prevent minors from entering that section… It’s not okay that it exists there. Especially knowing that the WM has a NO NSFW rule both in the Magma itself and in the Discord, despite the existence of an NSFW channel. The Discord belongs to the WM, it’s not really a separate space.

Anyway, to summarize, I think the WM moderators are minimizing what happened, or at the very least refusing to take responsibility for it, despite it being a fairly popular fandom event. Precisely because it’s so popular, simply telling people to filter the content they do or do not want to see is not a solution that truly applies here. And given the seriousness of the situation, I do think they owe people an explanation, don’t you? I don’t know, people… none of this seems right to me. And as I said, I’m not the only person speaking out against all of this. There are more people behind me.
I’m obviously not going to tell anyone what to do or not do. As for me:

What happened around Chila wasn't petty internet drama. It was a crime.
I help moderate for different servers, and we tend to not let outside drama get dragged in. Grooming/pedophilia/sending inappropriate imagery to minors is the exception. My moderator team spoke to the minors involved and we believe them.
I don't know what they can possibly think is good enough proof to absolve her, but they should share it because keeping it secret and refusing to address the situation makes them look like they would rather protect pedophiles than minors and victims. They can't avoid 'drama' by not saying anything. Just having a known groomer allowed in brings it to their doorstep.
Even beyond Chila's actions towards minors herself, she was dating the main transgressor of the document, who even the ones who run Weekly Magma admit to not wanting on their server. She continued to support Abyssal rather than taking the side of Abyssal's victims. You can't 'both sides' a groomer and their victims. Which is why her minimizing the situation as 'internet drama' to gain sympathy from her followers is abhorrent and duplicitous.

If you don't believe she sent inappropriate imagery to minors, here she's blatantly minimizing the actions of someone who did and making out the children who were victimized by her partner's actions to be unfairly cutting ties to her when at the very least, she continued to support their abuser, and at the most, she abused some of them too.
She knows the situation is serious but she chose to minimize it so her followers would give her sympathy and try to make her feel better, when there were victims who actually needed that sympathy and comfort from her. They didn't know she hurt any of them at first. They thought she was a friend and needed support desperately, but she wants to claim victimhood instead of the victims she refused to help.
Why would you trust a person who minimizes her own actions for sympathy over the victims of her actions? Especially when said actions involved a groomer? Especially when she sent inappropriate images sent to minors too?

"everyone should get more aromantic" can appeal to tumblr's sensibilities but I genuinely think everyone should also get more asexual. I don't mean everyone stop having sex, what I mean is
Sex is not essential. You can live without it. Full stop.
Not having sex isn't shameful or a sign of failure. It also doesn't make anyone boring.
You are not entitled to having sex with anybody and nobody is entitled to having sex with you.
Sex is not what makes someone an adult.
Nobody's worth is defined by how much sex they have or don't have.
Sex is not equally important to everyone.
You can have fulfilling and happy relationships without sex.
You should only have sex on your own terms, not because you feel like you owe it to someone, or because you feel like you'd be incomplete without it.
Know your boundaries around sex and be firm about them. Know how to respect other people's boundaries.
The previous point also applies when it comes to discussing sex. If someone doesn't wanna talk about it or hear about it you have to back down.
Anything can be sexual but not everything has to be sexual.
Firmly convinced the world would be a better place if we started treating sex the way we'd treat any other mundane preference in life, like what kind of chips a person likes to eat with their lunch.
The first piece I did came to me in the middle of the day on Friday when I was thinking of drawing just a space bar key from a keyboard, and then sat up in bed and decided I needed to draw a space milkshake bar!
I drew the spacebar as a place for others to add their characters!

The Donnie behind the space bar is my art
Looking at ideas for this Donnie I found a couple of posts on Pinterest that inspired me to design a whole spacesuit for him
One of my current favorite AU's is @duckcrumbs space AU, and due to the theme being space, I absolutely had to draw their Leo
Once again, a small detail on Pinterest inspired me to draw this cracked shell with the prison dimension inside it for Leo
And lastly, one of the things I kept thinking of was negative space pieces
The first one I did was of the large krang in the background after they close Mikeys portal at the end of the movie.

The second negative space piece was the scene where Mikey, Raph and Donnie opened the portal and saved Leo from the prison dimension
I really enjoyed this theme, it was really fun and there was some really incredible art created.
