Ahhh I have been so busy lately, I haven’t been able to post properly! I apologize, take these small but generous offerings.
A question that always ponders in my head is:
How does Jack look as a human?
So I decided to draw how I would envision Jack as a human, and of course since Jax is his twin I had to include him too.
This design is mostly for my story, ASNW.
Jack isn’t a fool, he figured out quickly to what Miss Sally was thinking of.
At last! M/C’s outfits in ASNW!
This took me so long to complete mainly because I was procrastinating and busy with other projects….
Recently I’ve been busying myself of creating a Jax doll…
Mind you I have no prior experience in sewing, only the motivation to bring a character into life. So my work wasn’t entirely most efficient or methodical in the eyes of an expert
It started off slow, with me making attempts on the size. Here is my second attempt on making the dress shirt. Once I got the hold of it, on my third try I had something like this:
After that, I went ahead and made the cravat. It was fairly simple as I found many tutorials online. This is how it looked like! I also bought a charm that resembles his bolo tie perfectly! (Technically not considered a bolo tie, but for now let’s call it that)
Next part was his waistcoat, it took me two tries to get the measurements and fitting correctly. This was my first attempt:
And here is the final:
I added four buttons (diy’d with hot glue and metallic paint)
The pants were quite simple and self explanatory, done with just the second attempt.
And we have Jax!
Well partially. I still need to work on his tailcoat, I haven’t found the right material to work with, cause my initial fabric I wanted to use kept falling apart so for now I am just waiting for the fabric to come.
That’s my journey for now..
Stay tuned for more!
I figured I would post these since the gif can only retain so much quality.
Fanart inspired by @nephilmsworld 's INCREDIBLE SHOWSTOPPING AMAZING fic "A Shadowed New World" on Ao3. If you're looking for a gothic romance featuring Jack, or really Jack-centric fic at all, you NEED to give this fic a shot. The writing is unmatched and actually breathtaking. The most recent chapter has me in an absolute chokehold. Anyways have some sad skeleton man LALALA~
I've seen some of your gorgeous art before and I'm curious who Jax is. Is he Jack's twin?
Yes! Jax is Jack’s twin—at least in my AU.
He originally started as the answer to a simple “what if?” question:
What if Jack was cruel?
I didn’t want to write Jack himself that way because it felt too far removed from the character I love. Instead, I created Jax. What began as a curiosity gradually evolved into something much larger.
The idea was also inspired by the fact that Jack is portrayed by two different performers: Chris Sarandon and Danny Elfman. In my head, Chris represents Jack, while Danny became the foundation for Jax.
Even though they’re playing the same character, I’ve always felt a subtle difference between their performances. Chris Sarandon’s Jack often feels brighter, more theatrical, charming, and openly expressive. Danny Elfman’s singing voice carries a darker weight to it—more reserved, intense, and sometimes almost predatory. Songs like Jack’s Lament, Jack’s Obsession, and Poor Jack reveal a side of him that feels very different from the showman we see during the Town Meeting sequence.
Because of that, I ended up splitting aspects of Jack’s personality between two characters.
Jack inherited the qualities most people immediately associate with him: his curiosity, optimism, creativity, warmth, and flair for performance. In A Shadowed New World, he’s the brother who reaches out first, offers comfort, and approaches the unknown with fascination rather than suspicion.
Jax, meanwhile, inherited the traits that emerge when Jack is challenged or threatened. He’s more reserved, calculating, intimidating, and protective. Where Jack welcomes people in, Jax keeps them at arm’s length. Where Jack wears his heart openly, Jax guards his carefully.
Rather than creating Jack’s opposite, I like to think I divided one character into two halves and asked what would happen if each half became its own person.
In that sense, both Jack and Jax are Jack—just different facets of him given room to exist independently.
What the storm reveals.

Just a doodle of what I think a female version of Jack would look like, though I fully believe that the female version of him would literally be the same— but! I had to make an attempt on conjuring a design.

Sally’s various outfits in ASNW!
At last I’ve finished hers, though it took long cause I invested so much time on detailing every look…
I thought I might post these since I felt bad most of the details died in the final piece.
A special drawing for my recent chapter in ASNW: Tales of Mirrored Mansion !!

Just for fun, I sketched out how the Skellington twins would look like in their “youth”. Mostly non-canonical, I conjured a short lore about how Jack came to be the Pumpkin King in the AU of ASNW.
