The prompt reminded me of the scene from Disney’s Pocahontas where the compass guides her to save John Smith, so I redrew it Kallura-style (with some artistic license). Also wanted to try drawing in the style of the movie, but gave up halfway 😂. Maybe I’ll try again some day.

My submission for Kallura Month Day 1: Moon Princess and Day 2: Star Knight. Inspired by a shot from the Sailor Moon Crystal S3 ending. It felt very appropriate for the prompt so I redrew featuring Keith and Allura.
Allura’s dress texture sampled from an image of Jupiter’s moon, Callisto. Background star field is a manip of this Hubble image, this JPL image, and this NASA photograph of the moon.

It was so soft and probably one of my favorite scenes from the season. Their aesthetic is clearly being together in front of beautiful space background and that’s all I’m going to be drawing for the foreseeable future.
Title: Lazon Characters: Keith/Allura (Kallura), Lotor’s shadow Media: Adobe Sketch/iPad Pro + Photoshop/Cintiq Notes: Drew this months ago for the KAEX Spring Gift Exchange, but totally forgot to post it online. The prompt was to redraw the scene from DoTU where Keith saves Allura from Lotor but gets slashed by his lazon sword, in the style of VLD. It’s not a direct translation because I think the scene would play out slightly differently in Legendary Defender; Allura would make Lotor eat hot death if he hurt Keith. So I present to you a fierce, angry Allura whose only reason for NOT blasting Lotor with her magic is because she’s cradling an injured Keith.
