The common anti-Zutara argument of “Zuko and Katara having a platonic relationship is important because it shows that not all boys and girls have to be in romantic relationships” is so stupid because you could say the exact same thing about Kataang. And it honestly makes more sense for Kataang because it could have tied into the arc of Aang needing to let go of his attachment to Katara.

It’s also not ever something that is a part of Zuko and Katara’s arc. Their friendship is never threatened by the idea that they can’t be just friends, unlike Katara and Aang’s narrative which does frequently suggest that friendship isn’t the end goal and that they must be more than friends.

What would actually be making a statement would be Aang realizing that Katara doesn’t have to be more than friends with him just because he wants her to.
