Lacus had not seen it coming, he rolled to the side but sprang up and stood stationary, then deciding to lean against a tree. How was she seeing so well in the dark? He was confused.
He sneered, this was irritating. He sprang and grabbed a fistful of the red locks, tossing her against a tree, he spoke, “Did you actually think you could escape me? To be honest, I don’t even want your blood anymore, so stop running like a fool. This is a remote region, what are you even doing all the way out here?”
"Grrk!"
She choked on her own spit, breathless the next as she had one second almost leapt away, but the next, her hair was used as a way to toss her ample form into a nearby tree! Iska slammed against the tree, back and side first. She was now bruised up, scratched up, and in several spots on her spine, sprained and strained.
In truth, all she could do is follow carefully of what her instincts told her--and even that was limited, as each footfall eqs hazardous in the pitch black. Second guessing where one's foot could land would be devastating as well. In this situation especially as she was chased after, she wasn't quite as wryly or sly as she thought she was.
On her side and curling now, Iska was catching her breath as Lacus interrogated her. Oh, he didn't want her blood anymore? Good! She didn't really think her off blood would taste any good anyway. What was she doing here though? The red-headed Russian woman didn't hesitate for a moment to reply. She had nothing else to lose since she was practically a prisoner anyway in this damned country.
"I-- . . . *cough!* I was making my way from Shibuya, h-heading to higher land near the oceans, a-away from the cockery of the army a-nd--*sputters as she spits out a glob of mucus away from her and from his looming form* -- you guys. . ." she managed to mutter as calmly as she could. In this, the fallen woman tried to muster up the strength to sit up at least.
Her accent was noticeably different from that of the usual rabble the purple haired vampire and his companions dealt with. Foreign, especially in these lands. And the way she carried herself was definitely off as well. An outsider to the hostile and inhospitable lands of post-apocalyptic Japan. Her garb and arm band said otherwise.
She didn't appear armed, either. And the scent of her blood was somewhat unusual. Not overly sweet or attractive perhaps, but perhaps something of curiosity?

Just when she thought all he was going to do was ask her something in privacy, he takes advantage and completely sidesweeps her practically with this action! The cunning bastard.She would have done it to him first, though, when the opportunity arose; but now on the receiving end of such deviancy, she wasn’t so sure she wanted to do it after all! W-what if the naughty progenitor did it again in retaliation!? She couldn’t get any more flustered with the idea. Aannnnd– Iska immediately buckled at the knees, curling up on herself in a flat footed squat as she covered her face with her knees. Quiet squeaking and squealing escaped her as she wiggled around. Damnit all. Damnit all. BLYAT!Even though he had become to her bodyguard, and had kept her safe here and there while her king was away, they’ve become quite acquainted with each other. She would teach him how to speak Russian so that he could communicate with his Russian Lord, and he in turn would accompany her and indulge her in some very interesting conversations. Even a debate or two! Whenever he had the patience, at least. A rare occurrence, to say the least.But cherta… She both loved and hated when he did shenanigans like these.SHENANIGANS SHE SAYS!

Lacus was stalking his prey- turning corners, catching glimpses, listening. Listening for the disorganized patter of footsteps, for any rustle of clothing. He was so close, he could feel their body heat from feet away. He could smell their fear.
He loved hunting during the night, as opposed to the daytime. During the night, his prey could not see, and was even clumsy enough to stumble into a few empty crates and knock them over.
Turning another corner, still pursuing, Lacus spoke, “I already told you that I wouldn’t kill you, livestock. All you’re doing is amusing me with your desperation for freedom…”
“Because you know, if I wanted- I could have caught you by now….”
Iska wasn’t sure just HOW in the world she got herself into this situation. Perhaps it was the campfire she had managed to smother out too late upon realizing she had been found? Or perhaps the scrapes she had earned herself upon running away? Well HECK. She’s always been a fast runner, this feisty red headed Russian. A former scout of the Japanese Imperial Demon Army and skilled survivalist--Iska had not come all this way just to become an easy meal for this purple-haired vampire! She’s going to make him work for it. Around the corner she darted, rather skillfully leaping over a somewhat sizable pile of debris. And just as she thought he was just breathing down her neck? She let herself suddenly fall, buckling so as to make the city guard trip over himself! Hopefully. Certainly he’s very quick, but, is he perceptive enough even with his vampiric senses to catch on to what her footing might have told him? Footing that allowed for a heel twist and knee buckle, arms tucking into her chest before her head was out of sight. And in seconds, her head was shooting back up; a quick leap up, like a Slovakian dancer would do when leaping out of their leg kicking dance of a show of great dexterity! It worked with a few of the agile soldiers of the army when they chased their former companion on suspicion of deserting. Perhaps it’ll work with the purple haired vampire?

Startlement! How–Wait, why?! The red haired Russian stared blankly at the clearly drunken Lacus. Iska’s emerald green eyes were a-gleam with utter confusion.
“…!?” Her confusion only intensified as she realized that it didn’t seem like he was looking quite directly at her. Had he mistaken her for someone else? Couldn’t be anything else! She’s not that worth while to–Wait. Right. He’s drunk. Doesn’t really matter when one gets to that point, Iska realized. With a sigh, she carefully leaned her head back, delicate fingers pushing at the much taller vampire’s chest.“Ooooofffff.” She stated. Her voice didn’t sound very enthused about having to deal with a drunken vampire at this time.
