LOL, okay. With that rank, I don’t think you have any right to act like your club is God’s gift to CCP. Stop dragging MC into your petty ass drama and GTFO, you cancerous lout.

So, what do you guys know about the new clubs that ranked high this past club war? I’m ditching my current club, and I really want a cool club that I can help out.
Well if you’re looking for a club that ranks highly, has a really active chat, and feels like a family, Midnight♛Carnival may be the club for you. We’re currently looking for top 200 ranking Style Wars players. We’re pretty chill during non-SW events. So long as you help out with the club rewards during individual events, your rank doesn’t matter. I also love talking to my members and giving them a ribbing from time to time. (•̀ᴗ•́)و ̑̑
There’s so much drama surrounding the club Midnight circus , just leave the Mcgriddles alone. So what that they want really high ranking players ? Lots of clubs do, but they’re getting hated mainly because they’re a “top” club
Anon, you’re making me very hungry. >:U
The top club, eclypse, is really starting to show their true colours, and it pisses me off. They pretend that they’re nice and friendly when really they’re talking behind others’ backs and making wild accusations towards other top clubs, such as midnight carnival in the recent. I’m pretty sure no one has done anything to you guys. At the very least, keep your jealousy in your own chats, not on the public boards. Such a childish club, and so ugly inside. You don’t deserve to be a top club.
Okay, lol. I had to address this as soon as I was shown this post by my members. Addressing this before this potentially spirals into even bigger drama. Sacrificing the no-life-beam-life here.
Look, I did see the comments made by Aurenthel on someone else’s board, but I was never that bothered by them. As matter of fact, I thought they were funny seeing as they came from a place of deep misunderstanding. I finally corrected that when she contacted me on LINE today. I understood where she was coming from from another leader’s perspective. I informed her that our club is new, so I understand that hey, someone who’s been leader for a long time may see things differently.
Do I think she should have kept things on the down-low? Yeah I do, thanks to people underestimating the visibility of some of these boards. Do I think she should have accepted that we both have different views and that there’s no need to publicly air grievances about another leader? Oh, absolutely lol. I mean, there’s a reason why some of the top leaders are friends with each other, but yet they’re not IN each other’s clubs. PSST: it’s because many of them disagree with how the others run their clubs! That’s why they each have their own club!
Anyway. I just want to end this here by saying that I hold no dislike or hate towards Eclypse. We’re both very competitive clubs and I want us to hold the spirit of competition and sportsmanship in the highest regard, without resorting to petty things such as bad mouthing (whether perceived or otherwise) or low blows. After all, that’s why people join our clubs; both for the friendship AND the competition.
I’m glad everyone can see through MC’s act! But keep in mind MC is a group of people, and not all of them are bad people but It only takes one bad apple to ruin a bunch.
I refrained from commenting on any of the confessions myself, but frankly, it’s getting exhausting and people keep escalating this bullshit. Alright, so what’s this “act” of ours, eh? Go on, expose us for who we really are. Who’s this bad apple? Me? Okay, then tell me what I did that was so egregiously wrong that we’re getting shit on left and right. Do you have any proof whatsoever? It seems like most people are just pulling these opinions out of their asses. It’s like I said before on my Tumblr; I won’t deliberately start shit with anyone unless they bring the bullshit to me first. I stand by that statement. A lot of these confessions just seem like misplaced jealousy to me. It’s funny, nobody will tell us what we did wrong, yet they have no problems standing on a pedestal and “calling us out” for things we haven’t done.
While I’m at it, why don’t I address the last “confession” (read: hate message) as well, huh? Reading that last so-called confession just made me lose 20 IQ points. Why the fuck would I anonymously post on a confessions blog to toot my own horn? The backlash this club and I would receive would set us back greatly, making a stunt like not only useless, but completely detrimental. Sorry, but this ego you imagine I have is nonexistent. If my members have made any statements regarding our ranks, then they’re just facts. Midnight Carnival has been extremely, EXTREMELY lucky in recruiting people, that’s all there is to it. A lot of the people who joined us didn’t like having to carry their former clubs to the top of the rankings. They came to us voluntarily. They liked the fact that Midnight Carnival’s main motto is fairness and that we have a high Style Wars rank requirement (that is, a rank requirement for those joining the club - not one that members necessarily have to maintain later on, due to midterms, finals, and so forth). Usually, what happens is that it’s easy to get into a club but extremely difficult to remove a member, even if they’ve failed to meet expectations. What I’m doing is making it difficult to get in so that I hopefully don’t have to encounter these problems as much. And really, it’s immensely unfair to any one or handful of people to do the majority of the carrying for a club. That’s the reason why Midnight Carnival was created; so that we wouldn’t have any one or few people carrying the club in the finals of Style Wars.
If you’ve noticed, I haven’t solicited top rankers from other top ranking clubs to join us. If other clubs hate me and Midnight Carnival, then maybe they need to sit down analyze why they are feeling this way. Is it because someone gave them a one-sided story? Or is it because they don’t like the fact that we suddenly got ourselves a bunch of high ranking members? Yeah, I understand that a lot of other top clubs took months to recruit and obtain a roster of high ranking players, but that’s no reason to hate on us for our sudden success. Focus on your own club(s) and making it/them better.
We don’t have any “superiority complexes” to speak of. All we want to do is have fun but not be hindered by people holding us back because they’re constantly making excuses regarding why they weren’t able to participate during Style Wars. Most people in my club are adults; I shouldn’t have to chase anyone down to ask why they weren’t on (and receive a bullshit excuse in return). I think the number one thing I’m looking for in members is their ability to communicate with me if they’re busy for whatever reason, and also accountability. You won’t even have trust without that basic foundation in communication. The reason why I’ve kept raising the bar in recruiting is because we’re almost at maximum capacity and most members elected to wait for a top ranking Style Wars player be our last member. We want someone who has a competitive spirit and also loves to chat.
Oh, and since tons of people asked before, I might as well address this too, so that people stop asking questions. Hopefully this will be the first and last time I have to do this. Midnight Carnival split off from FashionStars due to a disagreement in management styles and also a fundamental difference in club philosophies. It was a mutual decision and both clubs are better off due to the split. I have been labelled a “tyrant” by people before. That’s not true; I just can’t stand BULLSHIT in any shape or form. Some leaders are softer than me. Because of that, they risk being walked all over by a member or two who take advantage of that kindness. Sorry, but I don’t tolerate that. A few of MC’s original members and I carried another club a long time ago in a previous Style War (this was back during the chess Style Wars). Let me tell you: it’s not fun at all having to pull the entire weight for your club in the finals. It’s less fun knowing some people just didn’t bother participating in the Style Wars because they just didn’t want to put in the work. I almost had a breakdown because the entire weight of doing well was our shoulders. These inactives just sit there and let you do most of the work. And usually, these folks are the first to put on the prizes from the finals after the prizes get distributed. Thanks to that experience, I’m less forgiving to people who expect to ride on the coattails of a top club’s victory.
Midnight Carnival is really relaxed during non-Style Wars events. We don’t have any ranking requirements for individual events so long as our members help with club rewards. I think that’s extremely fair, considering we want to give it our all during Style Wars. If I have to chase someone down to ask them why they’re not participating in a Style Wars and I receive a piss-poor excuse in return because that person thinks it’s okay to slack off just because we have some high ranking members and that they will have an easy path to victory (remember, MC is mainly a Style Wars club - people apply with this in mind), you can bet your shiny ass that I’m going to have no problems removing that person from the club. Luckily everybody in the club understands that, so I don’t foresee this being a problem.
Did anybody see this? Looks like the Big Update is happening around the 26th of this month! Ooh, I get butterflies in my stomach just thinking about it!
I wish I can join an elite club! The members in those clubs are honestly some of the the sweetest people I have talked to in this game and I would love to be in the same club as them. Sadly, I don’t rank high enough in events to qualify for any of them… 😞
Aww don’t think that way! The requirements really depends on the club, so you would have to ask. Some clubs like mine only require you to have a high rank in Style Wars, while allowing you to take it easier during other events. Even free players are capable of high ranks in Style Wars; you just need to learn the mechanics of the event, have a bit of strategy, and also a bit of free time to be able to achieve this.
My club is a mix of coin, low coin, and free players! We manage to do well despite having such a diverse group of players. Try to get a high rank (say 300 and below) in one Style Wars event and take a screenshot of that. Then you can ask some of the higher tiered clubs if they have a vacancy, and let them know your final rank. It certainly doesn’t hurt to try! Don’t give up.
Too busy to update much this week. A little highlight, considering I have absolute shit tier luck with gachas. Wasn’t expecting to get the bonus wallpaper at all. Overall, I think it’s okay. Could be better without the mustard tone bead strings. They look so out of place.
Phew, I’m so glad I thought to check out the notices in the main Cocoppa app! In case anybody’s wondering when the Big Update will come, it says here on this notice that it will take place “at the end of October.” EDIT: They lied. ^^;
The players in the cocoppa play tag who start drama over nothing (neuromance-cocoppa/misscocoppa) are an embarrassment to the community. You should know you need to get a life or a better hobby when you start an argument over a mobile dress up game.
I started drama over nothing? Really now? I don’t start shit unless other people bring it to me. I made one post about someone accusing me of being needlessly rude / show plagiarism and apparently people who can’t stand any kind of heat get their panties in a bunch. The Cocoppa community can’t stand even a little bit of tension, as evidenced by people forming an entire prejudiced opinion against me from one post. I specifically made the post so that it was under a cut for people who’d rather skip it. Apparently Anon-chan must have decided to take his/her/their time reading the entire post INCLUDING the reblogs (that can’t be seen as their own individual posts in the Cocoppa Play tag) and decided to jump to the conclusion that I make needless drama. There’s no way you would have made this unless you read or skimmed through the entire thing. You complain about drama, but then fuel the fire by posting me and misscocoppa onto a confessions blog. Unbelievable. Great going, you flaming hypocrite.
Who cares if it’s over a mobile game? Obviously people are invested enough in Cocoppa that they’re spending a lot of time and money on it. People choose what they spend their time on. If someone spends several hours a day committed to this game, then why shouldn't they speak up if someone attacks them? It doesn't matter whether it's a game or not, if that's what someone dedicates their time to, then they have every right to stand up for themselves when the need arises. I never understood the whole "it's only just a game" sentiment. Then why do you care so much about what members of the community choose to do? You likely spend lots of time on Cocoppa as well or you wouldn't be on this confessions blog, posting anonymously, and giving a shit about any of this. It’s so obvious you took the time to read the entire post I made, including all the reblogs. Need I remind you that the reblogs, despite being public, can’t be seen unless you read the initial post? Everyone has their hobbies/interests, and there are several people who focus lots of energy on Cocoppa. If it's just "a game" to you, then maybe you should quit and do something else. Yeah, telling me to get a better hobby when it’s the same hobby as yours. Pot, meet kettle.
Am I not allowed to defend myself or make a point about giving credit where it’s due on the Cocoppa Play tags now? Should I have just rolled over and let someone get away with saying crap to me? I responded rather civilly given the circumstances. I even censored their name until they decided to respond with their own Tumblr. That seems to be a recurring theme in this community, just sweep things under a rug and hope things will go away. Seems like your definition of drama = any kind of debate or argument in this community. People in this community sure like to make a point about how it’s cowardly to hide anonymously behind a confession, but when I put my name to an opinion, suddenly shit hits the fan? Give me a fucking break and get off your high horse.
If anybody’s an embarrassment to this community, it’s people like you who feel the need to hide behind a guise of anonymity on a confessions blog to make a comment about specific people with names attached because they can’t or won’t say it directly. Including, and I can’t believe I’m saying this, the person who made the earlier confession about misscocoppa. So tell me again, who’s the dramamonger here? Yeah, that’s right: YOU.
A Complaint & CocoPPa Show Plagiarism
So today I just received my first complaint! :) The message was sent to my primary Tumblr, which is completely unrelated to Cocoppa Play. I’ve elected to screencap the message and post it here instead.
This is in direct complaint to this reblog of mine:
Hey darling, are you ok? You seem a bit heated up yourself. All I said was that your approach wasn’t the best, that a private message would have been nicer. Your message did scream exactly what you now confirmed in your post - that you thought I was guilty of plagiarism. Now, let’s take a look at some facts. As you can see, my blog is brand new. I am not familiar to the “tumblr cocoppa community” (if there is one) and have by no means intended to a) claim anything as my own, b) hurt anyone’s feelings, c) break some unwritten rules that someone new like me would not know of. I do not think that smashing a new blogger who simply intends to promote beautiful shows by chosen Cocoppa players (see the name “Coccoppa Angels” as an reference to the idea of presenting some sort of selected collection) is the nice thing to do. You are talking about me being “butthurt” but all I really did was reply to your reblog - in a private message. Unlike you, I did not see the need to make a public drama show out of it. You talk in your post about “acting mature” but the way you’re causing drama and bringing down a new blogger in a very aggressive manner isn’t in fact mature at all. Second of all, let’s face another fact. This is tumblr. And now don’t get me wrong, I do get where you’re coming from, that it’s nice if it stands whose show it is, but this is tumblr. How many people in general do you see to tag in every post of theirs where/who from they got the picture from? Yeah. Probably not many. Yet I doubt you’d go blame them for plagiarism or accuse them for equally claiming the pics as their own. Just that I did not hashtag or write whose show it was (for the sole reason of not actually knowing that, the screencap was from time before I decided to go for any Cocoppa tumblr) doesn’t equal to me claiming it as my own. I get your concern for people possibly “stealing” the glory for other people’s shows, but aren’t you jumping to conclusions a bit? Thank you however for letting me know the name of your friend’s, I appreciate that.
Oh would you look at that? My predictions about you showing up were spot on. I didn't even need to censor your name, seeing as you outed yourself. Alright, if you're going to do this, then let's go. *cracks knuckles*
Hey darling, are you ok? You seem a bit heated up yourself. All I said was that your approach wasn’t the best, that a private message would have been nicer.
First off, don't call me darling. You don't know me and frankly, I'd appreciate it if you didn't use that patronizing attitude towards me. I've been in enough situations to know when someone's being condescending, thanks. Secondly, I'm not exactly going to sit here silently and let you get away with calling me bitchy and rude in a personal message. I was very civil to you in my previous post. I've taken the time out to type out a reply because I thought I would address not only you, but the Cocoppa Play Tumblr community at large - since this is an ONGOING issue. I know a lot of people would just sit there and take a message like that without replying because they're afraid of backlash, but if someone brings me a complaint that just isn't valid, I'll be more than happy to shut that shit down. I certainly didn't want to call you out publicly and I've taken measures to censor out your handle, but if you out yourself then hey, it's fair game.
Now, getting to the heart of the matter: people have been called out before via reblogs for not annotating the names of people whose shows have been posted. Shows that don't belong to the posters. You know why I reblogged you? Because a private message would feel more personal than if I had just reblogged you. I said that in my previous post that it's not personal. You choose to ignore that simply because I made a post on the subject. I don't know you and I don't follow you. Most people would just reblog your post(s) and tell you to tag the people that are in them. They would not send you a private message telling you to do that. I did not and do not see the need to message you privately about adding a name. I'm also going to reiterate that I was nowhere near rude or bitchy to you in my reblog that was a mere two lines. It doesn't matter if you're new or not. New folks on Tumblr don't exactly get a free pass just because they're new. A simple scroll through the Cocoppa Play Tumblr tag would show that folks who post other people's show write down the name(s) of those who they posted.
Your message did scream exactly what you now confirmed in your post - that you thought I was guilty of plagiarism.
But you were guilty of plagiarism? Let's not beat around the bush, that's exactly what it was. Until I brought it up in a reblog, you either didn't remember to write down the names of those you posted, or it didn't matter to you. Or both. You said in your message to me that you didn't remember to write down people's names, so I'll take that at face value.
Now, let’s take a look at some facts. As you can see, my blog is brand new. I am not familiar to the "tumblr cocoppa community” (if there is one) and have by no means intended to a) claim anything as my own, b) hurt anyone’s feelings, c) break some unwritten rules that someone new like me would not know of.
Okay, and all I did was point out to you to tag someone in your post via a reblog. You say you're inexperienced. Okay fine. So I reblogged and said to tag someone. Was I condescending or cruel in that reblog? Did I make fun of you in that reblog? Did I embarrass you in that reblog? That, and I repeat from my first post, you don't have a description underneath your Tumblr page's title saying that you're posting other people's shows. The name of your page sounds like the name of a club and that can lead people to assume that you're posting your own shows and also those from your club.
I do not think that smashing a new blogger who simply intends to promote beautiful shows by chosen Cocoppa players (see the name “Cocoppa Angels” as an reference to the idea of presenting some sort of selected collection) is the nice thing to do.
Which I didn't do. I didn't bully you at all in the last post, did I? I purposely censored out your name and purposely avoided using incendiary language. However, I wanted to make my message about plagiarism crystal clear, which is why I came out very strongly on the subject. I added the last line about rudeness to drive home the point, seeing as that is what you accused me of being. The post was made as a PSA not only to you, but to the Cocoppa Play Tumblr community at large. If you choose to take that as a personal insult, then that's on you, not on me.
Unlike you, I did not see the need to make a public drama show out of it. You talk in your post about “acting mature” but the way you’re causing drama and bringing down a new blogger in a very aggressive manner isn’t in fact mature at all.
A public drama show? Yeah, now it is, seeing as you chose to show up despite me censoring your name. You sent in a complaint about me. I have all the right to post complaints publicly although I'll censor out the people sending in complaints. It's your prerogative to show up and put a name to the post. Your message had to do with rudeness regarding calling someone out and plagiarism of other people's shows. I made a PSA about the topic because I didn't want to make it personal by sending you some essay via private message. I wrote my opinion out as a post while censoring your name and addressing the community at large so as not to make you feel as if I'm attacking you personally. I was tough on plagiarism, sure. But in no way am I doing it to "take you down." If I wanted to do that, I would have just posted you (with your name publicly disclosed) anonymously on Cocoppa Play Confessions and washed my hands of it. I don't pull stunts like that and I'm not afraid of attaching my name to my personal opinions. Apparently I'm not the only person who thinks that you didn't do right by the community by not crediting the people whose shows you put up, seeing as there now is a confession up about your Tumblr. Full disclosure: I nor anybody I know wrote that confession. Your name was not in my post. However, your posts are very public on the Cocoppa Play Tumblr tags.
Two wrongs don't make a right. People do care (especially those whose pictures got pilfered and placed on Tumblr without credit). The only problem is that the Tumblr community is so large that it is hard to "police" everyone. Lots of posts have hundreds if not thousands of notes, making them difficult to track down the original poster. If someone knows the source of an image, they usually just reblog and attach the source to the image in their reblog. You know why people care in the Cocoppa Play community? Because you're not exactly posting to the Tumblr community at large. This is a very small, subset of Tumblr; an intimate community where a lot of people know each other. And that's on you to know, not anybody else's job to tell you that. However I am specifically pointing this out because you don't know. If you didn't hastag or write whose show it was, regardless of you not knowing, it does equate to you claiming it as your own. This is in addition to you not having an intro stating that you post other people's shows. Oh, and Raven's show that you posted? That's a REALLY recent screencap because I remember her having that show less than two weeks back around the time of the recent cabaret cruise event.
I get your concern for people possibly “stealing” the glory for other people’s shows, but aren’t you jumping to conclusions a bit?
You just don't get it, do you? It's not just about "stealing" any glory for other people's shows, it's also about outright plagiarism. I like how you're conveniently glossing over that and redirecting the subject to stealing people's thunder. Which by the way, was what you did as well in one fell swoop. Of course now that I pointed it out to you, you're writing down the names of people you're posting to your Tumblr. You don't exactly deserve cookies or praise for doing the right thing. And no, I'm not jumping to any conclusions. I'm right on the money. Other people just don't say it to your face because now they know that you'd message them personally and accuse them of being bitchy, and some people just don't want to deal with that bullshit.
