Welcome to the neuroorientation archive, run by @keyringmogai. This blog archives all neuro- attraction labels, including, but not limited to: platonic, sexual, romantic, sensual, allion, aesthetic, and queerplatonic terms. Feel free to tag us!

DID auto attraction flags.

For systems who prefer to view their inner dating as autosexual / autoromantic because they are only attracted to inner system members.

As alters are dissociates of oneself, and inner system dating is a form of self love, if an alter only feels attracted to members in the system, it can be a form of self attraction.

Exclusive to folks with DID who/who's alters are only attracted to other members in their own system.

Intended to be a combination of the DID flag and Autosexual/Autoromantic flag and maintains those meanings.

This wasn't made to enforce a label on systems who have this experience, It is made for alters and systems to identify with it by choice!

general Teneo orientation flag

Teneosexual, Teneoromantic, Teneorose

Teneo(Latin for 'to hold') orientations refer to attraction heavily affected by  neurodivergence, specifically;

-Personality disorders, especially Borderline Personality Disorder and Dependent Personality Disorder,

-Separation Anxiety Disorder,

-Schizophrenia, Schizoaffective, and related disorders,

-some manifestations of (Complex) Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder,

-some types of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder,

-Obsessive Love Disorder, or having many traits of one of the above disorders.

Teneo orientations are experienced as being dependent on an attachment figure or figures, someone who is teneosexual would experience no or very little sexual attraction to anyone else while they have an attachment figure or figures. If the an attachment figure or figures was someone they did not experience attraction to(e.g. genders they aren't attracted to, people who are just not their type, family members, paid caregivers) they would be functionally asexual, until they either lost that attachment, or became attached to someone they experience attraction to.

People who use the label may or may not experience attraction while they have no attachment figure or figures, though if they do it is often more infrequent and/of less intense than attraction to an attachment figure or figures. It can also be combined with other labels such as teneobi, teneogay, teneoaro, teneohet, etc. This label could be considered aspec, however the one who made it doesn't consider it to inherently be.

Color and symbol meanings:

The overlapping lines on the symbols is to represent connection and one's orientation being link to their attachment figure or figures

the light gray to black is to represent the spectrum of diminished to complete lack of attraction.

the gold/golden yellow is to represent attachment, attachment figures, and value both the of the person and how they experience relationships.

on the general Teneo orientation flag the red and pinkish purple were most just chosen because they went well with the gold. The flower/star symbol was chosen to not tie the flag to one specific types of attraction

Orange and red, as well as the flame, were chosen for teneosexual to represent sexual attraction. The light purple on the top of the flag the overlap teneosexuals may experience with asexuality

Pink and purple, as well as the heart, were chosen for teneoromantic to represent sexual attraction. The light green on the top of the flag the overlap teneoromantics may experience with aromanticism.

Teneorose flag takes color from both the teneosexual and teneoromantic flags.

Feel free to make alternative versions of the flags, or version for different types of attraction, if you want to

Teneoattractional/Teneoattractional simplified

Teneoattractional - experiencing all(or almost all) forms attraction as teneo orientations

Teneophysical, Teneoemotional, and Teneotertiary

Teneophysical - experiencing all(or almost all) physical attraction as teneo orientations

Teneoemotional - experiencing all(or almost all) emotional attraction as teneo orientations

Teneotertiary - experiencing tertiary attraction* as teneo orientations

*Because tertiary attraction can be a whole bunch different things I don't really feel like it's far for me to say all/almost all

Design stuff underneath

So the colors for teneoattractional is based off of the anattractional flag, with the rainbow used as the opposite of the absence of color and white being simplification. The upside down A is basically the same logic as I mentioned in this post, with it being used to represent all/every. The other color/general design is the same concept as the other teneo flags.

Teneophysical is based on these aphysical and allophysical flags. I felt like I couldn't do the single color on top thing that was done with the other teneo flags, because I can't really think of just one color that wouldn't look too similar to the other flags. There's no symbol for this flag because my drawing tablet isn't working, and if keep trying to fix it I'm going to get evil. The other color/general design is the same concept as the other teneo flags.

Teneoemotional is based on these aemotional and alloemotional flags. The other stuff is basically the same reasons as the teneophysical flag.

Teneotertiary is based on these atertiary, tertiary attraction, and allotertiary flags. The other stuff is basically the same reasons as the teneophysical flag. Though for this one I did actually have a specific symbol idea in mind, that being a "true blue" chrysanthemum. As blue chrysanthemum were created by scientists. And even though the experience of tertiary attraction isn't new categorizing it is ferly new.

Complic / Plurelic: A type of attraction felt by a member of a system, towards another member(s) of the same system. A form of attraction that can be felt between members of the same system.

Example: Someone within a system who develops attraction towards another member in the same system could be experiencing complic attraction. They may want to be in an intrapluaric relationship with them because of it.

This flag uses the headmate loving headmate symbol, or the plural heart. The terms come from plural (for plurelic) and words like "complex", "community", and so on for complic. Both were included, for the sake of those who do not identify with the word plural.

Additional add-ons for this label are completely optional, however. Complic and plurelic may be used as they are. However, for those who want to include type of attraction (romantic, platonic, etc.), or the orientation of the user (gay, bi, etc.), you may read below on how to do that.

Complic and plurelic on their own do not designate whether or not this attraction is romantic, platonic, etc., nor do they designate the orientation of this attraction, but this can be done by taking the first four letters (complic, plurelic) and then putting the attraction type after. Examples include compromantic, plurplatonic, and so on. They can also be shortened into things like compro, plurplat, etc..

If you really want to, you may add in your orientation. This would look like compbisexual/compbi, plurgay/plurhomo, and so on. You can put both the type of attraction and the orientation in the same word if you wish.

With both together, you should go comp+attraction+orientation. this could look like comprogay, plurplatbi, and so on. The label "comprogay" for instance defines someone who has has gay complic+romantic attraction.

DEFINITION ⠀✦⠀ a tertiary attraction characterized by hyperfixating on one's object of attraction. one may experience other attractions alongside hyfixation attraction ( i.e. romantic, platonic, familial, etc. ) that may or may not fade once the hyfixation attraction has; the only requirement to experiencing hyfixation attraction is to be someone who can experience a hyperfixation. this attraction may also be characterized by unhealthily obsessive tendencies, but doesn't have to be.
