Little Green Cars Debuts New Single - “The Song They Play Every Night”
This new music video was self-directed by the band, explaining this song is about the sleepless night of a person’s tormented thoughts.
The song is certainly a new departure from their first album--excluding their signature harmonies and a focus of a melodic repetitive tune that carries through the entire song.

Live Review: A Silent Film @ The Bowery Ballroom
By Ysabella Monton
Video Interview with A Silent Film can be viewed here.
This past Sunday, New York was still brimming with post-Halloween spirit going right into a vibrant performance by British duo A Silent Film at the Bowery Ballroom.
Opening up the show was Flagship, consisting of Drake Margolnick and Michael Finster from North Carolina. Of the quartet on stage, Mikey (as he had introduced himself to me before the show) on the drums seemed to be having the best time, smiling the whole way through and making the set even more fun to watch.
From the get-go when A Silent Film came out, the crowd came ready to party, feeding the band all the energy they needed to power through the night. I, and everyone around me, danced around, all getting our cardio workouts for the day. Not many artists quite match this kind of stage presence.
I couldn’t tell you how many times they talked about being proud of their self-titled record, released only a few weeks ago — and rightfully so. Tracks such as "Strong Enough" and my personal favorite, "Lavender Fields," were met with cheers (and nearly tears) from the audience.
That isn't to say, though, that upbeat songs from their older albums weren't met with just as much enthusiasm, if not more. The venue briefly turned into a 90s synthpop club for "Danny, Dakota & the Wishing Well," and Robert had no problem getting everyone on key for "Harbour Lights."
And one girl in the front row (who may or may not have been whipped in the face by Robert's mic cord) drummed along to every song, with Spencer oh-so-modestly saying he knows he's a fantastic drummer.
Some lineup changes made for a noticeable shift in the dynamic on stage, following the departure of two founding members. On stage this time around was a Jake and two Matts (on bass, guitar, and keyboard, respectively), one being producer Matthew Wilcox, who worked with the band on the latest release. While recording, the duo initially didn't even entertain the thought that Wilcox would want to tour with them.
The core two have been playing music together since years prior to forming A Silent Film, and the journey to recording the new record and touring thus far has been a refreshing return to those roots.
It became clear when Spencer and Robert came out for an encore, performing a stripped-down version of their song “Lamplight," off the first record. Just the two of them with a piano and a shaker created a more intimate feeling with the crowd. They noted that previously, they hardly ever did this one live; but, now that it’s just the two of them, they can do whatever they want. And clearly, they're having a great time doing it.
New Music: VINYL THIEF - Bad Decisions
If you’re into 90′s groovy music, you’re at the right place.
VINYL THIEF is an electro-pop indie rock band based in Nashville, Tennessee. Succeeding their debut album, Fathoms, their single inspires the musical decisions of a reminiscent dancing groove.
The low key vibe of a misty dance club and mood changing disco lights flash in my head as I listen to the song. It’s catchy, contemplative, and just enough to bop your head back and forth.
I love it.
Discovery: Zuli
In a mix somewhere between a trip through a summer beach and a 70′s throwback, Zuli is a solo artist coming out of New York. With one EP currently out in the wild, Supernatural Voodoo is one of a kind--each and every song having its own unique uplifting electric energy that carries onto the next one.
Take a listen to a stripped down/acoustic version of his single “Better All The Time” above.

Live Review: Andrew Belle
Based from Chicago, Illinois, Andrew Belle came out to New York City to play a sold-out intimate performance at the Rockwood Music Hall. As a singer-songwriter who broke out through songs in Television shows and commercials, there is so much to respect about his sound and continued passion as an artist. With two full length albums behind his back, he played a slew of songs where his fans sang along quietly through his reminiscent and cathartic echo of his minimal drum beats.
Joined in with a back-up vocalist and a guitar player, Andrew kept up the energy through small talks of his journey in his musical career and even giving out a test vinyl to a fan that traveled two and a half hours to his show. I’ll be honest - as a fan of his work, there was no better place to be on a Wednesday night. Even between each song, I overheard fans exclaiming, “Wow, he’s just so good isn’t he?!” and “This is too perfect.” His sound translated beautifully in a live environment, where fans could intimately join in on the conversation of hardships and struggles in life.
Although he’s only doing a handful of dates in the East Coast, I’m hoping he can travel around the world to spread his gorgeous picture-perfect sounds.

Discovery: Jakob Danger
Never heard of Jakob Danger? Yeah, I thought so.
In fact, this is Billie Joe Armstrong’s son, breaking out into the world of music with three songs already out on YouTube since June. His influence does certainly revolve around a grungy rock background, but it’s good to know he’s following his father’s steps into the world of music.
Take a listen to his song “Waiting to Dance” below.
Listen To This: Sam Smith - “Writing’s On the Wall” for James Bond ‘Spectre’
According to Rolling Stone, "Writing's on the Wall" marks the first British male singer to perform the Bond theme since 1965.
This new theme song is as Bond as it gets -- elegant, sleek, and robust.
New Release: BOY - We Were Here
Originally from Hamburg/Zürich, Germany, BOY makes an inspiring sophomore album that keeps a consistent tone from their debut LP. The simplicity in each of their songs derives from the simplicity of the duo--reflecting on gorgeous imagery.
