its kind of distressing how you can tell a lot of people see popular indie artists and writers and such as like "a Celebrity but one which i stand a half decent chance of bullying to death"
Against All Odds, Fandom Unanimously Agrees on Something
A new trend of Nevermore tag posts has taken the fandom by storm... only it isn't a new trend, and it isn't catching on besides a handful of blogs. Criticizing the official Nevermore fan Discord, commonly called the Nevercord, posts have ranged from simply calling out offenses of Red and the moderation team to calling for a complete boycott of the server.
One takes that boycott a step farther than might be anticipated, claiming that all who refuse said boycott stray into a certain political viewpoint that is almost unilaterally condemned in the comic's fandom. Witnesses have sprung up from all factions with the same words on their lips: what the fuck?
"It's a gross escalation of the issue at hand," said a member of comic-critical fan server Quoth the Raven, Nevermore. "And obvious rage bait."
Across the imaginary table where this imaginary interview was conducted, an imaginary Nevercord member nodded. "Everyone's pointed out how messed up it is already, but just to be clear: it's messed up, and the poster should be ashamed."
A member of a certain private fan server sighed, then added her own two cents: "Fucked up for sure," to which the Tumblr representative hummed their own agreement.
As always, members of Spirtbound had nothing to add and stayed silent.
This brief agreement signaled an armistice between the servers, complete with celebratory cake, handshakes and hugs all around, and a few tearful apologies. Unfortunately, it only lasted a few seconds before someone- reporters are unsure who- criticized something, causing someone else to absolutely lose their shit.
Any progress made to unite the turbulent fandom has been undone and then some, but at least one step forward has been taken: everyone is fully on the same side that you should not compare a Discord server to genocidal, dangerous, evil regimes.
Seriously, that's fucked up.
Vicious Monopoly Finally Broken In Nevermore Fandom
The emergence of two new news blogs reporting on the state of the Nevermore fandom has done more than simply allowed the thousands of fans access to the newest information. They have both faced down a goliath of a news site, striking a blow against "the Man" and winning the day for independent reporters everywhere. No longer is fan-favorite Nevermore Webtoon News a vicious monopoly- at long last, the fandom is open to choice.
Real Nevermore News burst onto the scene a week ago with a single hard hitting piece that rallied against their big news network counterpart, specifically a recent article about usage of AI in the fandom. Their silence since this publication has been measured, clearly meant to make the fandom think, and probably not for any other reason whatsoever.
Meanwhile, CNNevermore has been around for a little longer, starting a mere few months after the behemoth Nevermore Webtoon News. Their news is reported with a style and flair that adds visual charm. In addition, their lead reporter possesses a distinct and casual personality with a knack for breaking kayfabe.
Reporters here at Nevermore Webtoon News asked the reporters of Nevermore Webtoon News their feelings at having two newcomers swooping onto the scene, and got this response: "Honestly? We support independent journalism and competition. Our publication isn't for everyone, that much is clear."
When asked by our reporters if our reporters would stop reporting, the answer remained a resounding "no." "We love to do this, when there's something funny or interesting to report. And we've gotten so much support from so many people, and only a few messages telling us to go suck dicks in hell. How could we quit in the peak of our careers?"
It's clear that despite steep competition, Nevermore Webtoon News remains undaunted. And with the fandom bigger than ever, perhaps this is the best time to get a little bit competitive... or simply spread the love and let people enjoy all three.
Breaking news! Two more new blogs have sprung up- or should we say news blogs? We wish them the best.
Local Nevermore Fan Out Of Other Things To Do On Thursdays
After the announcement of yet another week off, a local Nevermore fan is upset for one reason and one reason only- she is very quickly running out of things to do on Thursdays.
"Look," said 19-year old Cammie Bright as she twiddled her thumbs with a bored expression, "it's simple. I go home, I slide into my most gothic pajamas, make myself my preferred last meal, and eat it in bed with my cell phone while I read the latest episode of award-winning Webtoon Original Nevermore. Then, I usually die for about ten minutes before leaving a comment I hope becomes a top comment so I get that sweet engagement, then off I go to the various discord servers so I can discuss."
But without an episode, Cammie has been left adrift, forced to break routine and try some new things.
"I went to the movies once, but it wasn't the same; you can't leave comments on a movie. There's so many hobbies I've tried, but they all require a lot of brainpower. And no one even wants to discuss touching grass, I can't find a single serious Discord server for it."
Reporters, outside their usual scope, kindly suggested that perhaps what Bright was looking for was not a wonderful gothic webcomic, but perhaps something more akin to community, and suggested she try to engage the friends she's made throughout the Nevermore fandom in a different way on Thursdays.
But Bright seemed insistent. "Look, it's a good idea, but tell the truth. You're just as hungry for new content as I am. It's good of Red and Flynn to be healthy and like, get sleep or whatever, but just as much as we can agree about that, we can also all be way disappointed that it meant no new episode this week."
Reporters declined to comment with sheepish looks on their faces, and merely reported that they hope the creators do in fact get some rest and feel better. Preferably, well before next Thursday.
hi hiii ;3
i may make a nevermore news account WHICH IM AWARE THERE ARE SOME ALREADY, AND WE DONT RLLY NEEED ANOTHER
BUT!!!!
the current ones are very gimmicky imo which is entirely fine, thats in no way a criticism of those blogs i just think itd also be nice to have a place to find news on the comic + fandom that isnt told behind the sterotypical reporter voice gimmick, yknw?
i wouldnt be an anonymous blog runner either when it comes to actual news/opinions, i do think its important that the viewer knows who theyre getting information from then they can tell if theyre learning from someone who has any beliefs they dont agree with or any heavy biases that influence their work
id love some feedback if you have any ! requests, questions, concerns, wtvs on your mind ill be making the blog at some point soon but it is still a fresh idea in my mind so anything helps thank you! :D
Breaking news! We would love to see another news blog spring up in the fandom. While we personally find anonymity works best for our purposes of satire and Onion-inspired poking fun at everyone, having a non-anonymous place for actual fandom news is something that all of us here at NWN can agree with. Best of luck on your journey, and let us know when you make the blog so that we can highlight it to our readers!
Why has Tumblr hid this from me for so long omg
Breaking news: Tumblr hides very funny and sometimes hard-hitting news blog from blogger with seemingly good taste for way too long! More at eight.
(thank you!!!)
I hope you take anonymous tips. You know how toxic the Nevermore tags have gotten on Tumblr lately? There is a Discord server that a group of people from Tumblr hang out in where pretty much all they do is talk about their Nevermore grievances. They create new discourse for fun, and make memes together to upset people on the tag. One of the loudest voices in there is the Nevermore Confessions mod. They use that blog to start drama because they get bored. That potential man meme Red commented on, they made it together to provoke her, because she'd just commented on another post so they knew she was logged in. Then they dogpiled her in the comments and reblogs when she took the bait, and chased her off Tumblr again. Honestly their behavior towards Red in general is creepy and parasocial, they talk about her constantly and slander her like it's a sport. It gets really personal and they make up lies about her together like pretending she sends them death threats even though they all know she never has. They even joke about how they'd be canceled if anyone found out. I am a long-time lurker in there, and I have screencaps but can't send them to you anonymously. You don't need to take my word for it though, it's a public server in the Discord directory, under the tag nevermore-webtoon. It is called "Quoth the Raven, Nevermore." You can join and look for yourself. I think they should be exposed. This small group of people has talked about trying to get Red to quit the series and they've even paid for Patreon just so they can stalk her. I feel bad watching it happen but I can't go up against them myself, they scare me.
Anon, thanks for your reporting, and don't worry, you're not alone- our reporters have been observing QtRN personally for quite some time. This gave us the final push to really want to share this server with the fandom as a whole and stop hoarding it all to ourselves. We really think that EVERYONE should go join that server at the link here and see EXACTLY what they're up to! If you do, please do it only for research and spread of positivity, and please be sure not to harass or harm, but of course that goes without saying!
Servers do grow and change however, and sometimes things get deleted. Just in case this happens due to the large influx of new users we expect they'll get- which would be awful suspicious, and an admission of guilt, really- we did compile the entirety of their nevermore-grievances channel into a handy document that people can find here.
We also want to post some screenshots that absolutely fascinated us right here for all to see! We'll leave those below the cut, but boy, everyone should check them out. They're snippets of some INCREDIBLY interesting discussions!
We at Nevermore Webtoon News have been getting a lot of anonymous tips lately, something that we want to encourage! One of the most recent will definitely be making it into an upcoming news cycle very soon. We would love to be able to further interview our tipster if they feel comfortable. Remember, our ask box is always open, anonymous or not!
Unofficial Nevermore Server Lauded For Elaborate Performance Art
Nevermore Academy, the eponymous setting of acclaimed Webtoon Nevermore, teaches many subjects. From summoning a spectre to learning about the mysterious Land of the Dead, the students certainly have much to absorb in the hallowed halls of the fictional institution. However, there are a few things we never see in the school's course catalog, and one of those is art.
One Nevermore discord server has decided to take this into their own hands... or should we say, into their spectral tethers. Spiritbound is frequently shown on Discord discovery index Disboard as one of its most active Nevermore servers... and frequently listed as the most active non-official server, period. The 300+ member server boasts a ton of features, including group activities, voice acting, community, and working towards 24/7 active chats.
Their latest group activity, then, is obvious: the entire server has come together, bound to emulate the spirits their preferred webcomic is about. With no conversation in most channels, the place has been ghostly silent as of recent, despite no shortage of people to do the talking. On such a dedicated server, such quiet can only mean that they are either trying to imitate the wisps in an elaborate act of performance art... or that they're attempting the world record for largest and longest text-based quiet game, of which there has been no evidence.
To not interrupt the flow of their artsy machinations, and perhaps to add to the scheme's number, only the Disboard bump bot ticks on... that, and a few people who didn't get the memo speaking in lounge. Other than that, Spiritbound is as quiet as the infirmary after the Wild Hunt trampled through it, which is to say- deathly still.
Nevermore Webtoon News reporters attempted to ask one of the server's moderators when this event would be over and users could expect to see the return of the promised chatter. However, and perhaps predictably, they got no response. Reporters remain on the scene to cover further developments in this ongoing story.
I have news to report: everyone in Nevermore is gay.
My sources are: the webcomic.
Reporters attempted to conduct interviews with the accused to confirm this, but they were too busy kissing those of the same gender with tongue. More to come as the story unfolds.
Discord Mods Claim They're Actually Not Doing Public Executions
Rumors, as always, have been flying around the fandom of acclaimed and award-winning Webtoon Nevermore- and this time, the gossip is as deadly in content as the comic itself.
With so many people banned from the official Discord server in the past two years, it is frequently wondered what happens to the unlucky ones who disappear from public view after falling from the community's good graces. The talk amongst the fandom, however, is clear: it's not just the accounts being terminated, it's the people themselves.
It's unclear if such executions are the norm for other places in the fandom. The largest public unofficial server (albeit a heavily inactive one), "Spiritbound," has an abbreviated ruleset vaguely derivative of the official server; however, its shorter and more enforceable tone means that perhaps fewer instances of capital punishment come from such a place.
To combat the bloodthirst of Discord mods everywhere, regardless of where they make their home, a ritual has sprung up within the fandom. Often those posting critical opinions of any sort (or those that involve detailed critique, dissent from the norm, or memes targeted at just about anything) will preemptively beg for mercy. "Don't kill me it's just a joke!" starts many a post. Many more involve postscripts of much the same sentiment- "Hahaha it's just satire, try not to murder me for it."
This, experts say, will not be enough. It will never be enough to stop the bloodshed. It is a futile attempt.
Even so, and despite evidence otherwise, Discord mods from all major servers (both official and unofficial) claim that they're not committing homicides for fun and profit. Or, really, at all. "Look, we just ban the people," said the clearly irritated Nevermore Discord moderator Morgan. "Whatever happens to them afterwards... well, we simply wish them the best if we find they aren't a good fit for our server. We're not killing them."
But while no bodies have been discovered and no proof has been submitted, the community knows that the gossip doesn't lie... and that whether you're on the official server, or one of the three public instances of servers simply titled "Nevermore Academy," any appointed moderators can never get the taste of blood off their lips.
Nevermore Deans Kinda Sucked Even Before This, So Say Students
The board of the School District of the Land of the Dead- of which famed Nevermore Academy is a member- is investigating the school's deans, Dean Merry and Dean Mourn, on accusations of sexism, misogyny, emotional abuse, and student endangerment that have recently emerged.
In this recently reported incident, caught on camera by a photographer for a documentary comic about life at the famous school, the two men running the institution were caught slinging a variety of insults. "Foolish," "Jezebel," and "...your own stupidity...." were amongst those caught. For some, hearing these things has been a monumental twist that has solidified them as villains working against the student body.
Many others, however, claim they've known this for ages- namely, the students.
"Did you think I was just going along with them because I liked them? It's part of my game. I've always despised them, as they are the primary force keeping myself and Lenore apart," said Annabel Lee Whitlock. Whitlock, who woke up from the brink of death purely for this interview, then sighed and collapsed once more as soon as reporters moved on.
"This is hardly the first time they've insulted a student," mused Prospero, another student, as he rubbed his temples. "But they've never insulted myself or one of my allies, so to be honest, I never paid it much attention."
A third student, Eulalie, looked at reporters with bright eyes. "If they get fired for this proven issue, it's really not enough! Some people just need to get their arms ripped off to learn anything." When told that this had indeed happened, she smiled.
All interviewed students did, in fact, seem unsurprised at recent turns of event; in fact, some even questioned reporters (and the readers of this news site) for not seeing it sooner.
"Why are you even reporting on this?" said one Duke Laurent. "It isn't news. It isn't anything that's never happened before. It's not some big twist. The deans kind of sucked from the very beginning, and acting like they're suddenly misogynistic and evil is placing a twist into the writing that was never supposed to ever be a twist. Also, can someone please focus on rescuing us from this hell we've found ourselves in?"
Reporters declined to comment further.
Woman Pleased to Be A Member of the Nevermore Fandom Fandom
In part of an attempt to cover more mundane news stories, Nevermore Webtoon News reporters caught up today with Jane Doeman, an average college-aged tumblr user who has recently discovered the Nevermore Fandom fandom.
The following interview has been edited for brevity.
NWN: When did you get into the Nevermore Fandom fandom? Doeman: It's been in my periphery since the first big twist, back in the Summer 2024 season. I had a lot of friends who stopped following the story after that, but also a lot who started. I decided to give it time and see if it was worth it. So I haven't gotten into it myself until fairly recently, really... within the last couple of months, around Christmas [2025]. But I've spent that time catching up on everything! I'm now completely up to date.
NWN: What's your favorite thing about the Nevermore Fandom? Doeman: For a story, it's really interactive! I like joining all of the various Discord servers and getting to interact with the characters. It's something special to see what each individual server brings, too- how the "main server" for the fictional story-within-a-story is loud and overwhelming, and then you go to the "unofficial servers" and they feel completely different. And the Tumblr accounts tied to the story are always exciting and generally fire. Or on fire. Sometimes there's no difference.
NWN: Any favorite characters? Doeman: I like most of them okay, but I wouldn't say I have any favorites. Though honorable mention to Red and the official Discord mods because whenever you see anything about them, you know things are about to amp up in the storyline. They're not favorites but at least the plot's getting good.
NWN: What about favorite plots? Doeman: Definitely the fandom rift over the Amontillado Arc in the story-within-a-story. It was so unintentionally funny it became good. After everything else that had happened, having people complaining about masonry was just hilarious. More recently, how some are making a big deal about how Theo's a waste of space and does nothing for the narrative, mostly because I'm expecting a twist of that going absolutely nowhere and not sparking some huge explosion for a change.
NWN: Speaking of the story-within-a-story, what are your thoughts on Nevermore? Doeman: Um, I heard they made that- and that it's even on Webtoon, which is pretty impressive, I guess- but I'm not really interested in gothic stories or webcomics. So yeah, I'm a big fan, but I never actually dove that much into it, hahaha, I prefer just being into the drama series.
NWN: What would you predict is next? Doeman: Oh, the creators really keep us on our toes, but I'm hoping to see that some of the Nevermore hatereaders and the creators end up reconciling in a moment of genuine connection. That'd be just about the only thing that could surprise me.
NWN: Last question- how would you feel if the Nevermore Fandom was real and not just a story? Doeman: Oh, god. [Nervous laughter] I'm just glad it isn't. This kind of drama is fun to watch, but imagine if a bunch of people in their teens, twenties, and thirties really acted like this? That'd be unbelievable, frankly. I already have to suspend my disbelief a lot for this story, to be honest.
NWN: Thanks for your time, Jane. We can't wait to see if your predictions come true.
Nevermore Creator Just Needs To Think Positive!
Nevermore co-creator Kit "Red" Trace made a brief return to Tumblr yesterday, only to be met with massive amounts of criticism of the reveal of Lenore's spectre last episode. Though well received in the Fast Pass circles, freepasser reviews have been generally less favorable, citing unexciting designs and unexpected theming. Trace swiftly left the blogging platform again, leaving only a few comments to show they were even there. Even so, the fanbase is abuzz with the celebrity citing... and the implications thereof.
"I don't get why Red would come online just to seek out our readily-available and widely-believed critique that's the first thing you see when you come into the Nevermore Tumblr tag," said one blogger. "That's mistake number one. Has she tried just closing her eyes? Doing yoga? Imagining that it isn't happening and everyone's happy?"
Another user, after posting a graphic griping about unanswered questions and undeveloped characters, noted "I love the comic! Or rather, I love what it could be. I have a very good version of the story in my head, and if Red and Flynn meditated or maybe put on some rose tinted glasses, they could too."
"Really, she's supposed to be a professional, and everyone knows once you're a professional, you can only refuse to do what the fandom wants if you're dead or evil," said a third poster.
Though sentiments such as these seem to be the overwhelming opinion in the fandom right now, some people are pushing back. Confessions on certain confession blogs take more positive views of recent events, and membership on the official Discord is higher than ever. Clearly, a single view does not dominate the fandom.
Either way, the immediate effects are clear, and we at Nevermore Webtoon News had to track down the author in other ways. "Flynn and I have taken the criticism into account," Red finally said in a statement to reporters over Discord. "A new positive worldview has inspired us to release an amended version of our Webtoon. Please look forward to it!"
