General Appearance: dark skinned, impossibly dark hair hair & eyes, round face, button nose (gang gang), big smile, streetwear fashion in the way you expect from dancers of course.
Personality: As a baby, I think Janelle would be very happy, all chubby cheeks and bright laughs. She only gets fussy when she feels ignored. As she gets older she develops more and more attitude, first it's very 'kids say the darnest things' quips, by her preteen years she figures out being funny means she won't be in trouble for being a smart mouth at home. By teen years, she's too often accused of not having a sense of humor because she's not easily impressed, and reserves those big smiles for friends and family more often than not.
Special Talents: being fun, being mean, being better than you, maybe some sort of fae magic but who's telling? Ice skating & ballet

Personal Head canon: JJ is just such an easy mark, you wanna get someone to take in a little faeby to raise, you leave that baby outside his shop and he's gonna be such a protector. Misha loves that he's so earnest and protective, and kind. Bringing home Janelle is the moment she's gonna realize she played herself with a 'good' man. But damn that's a cute kid, look at those bright eyes, those cheeks, the chubby legs.. Misha wasn't really ready to feel like she had to fight for attention, and I imagine the first few weeks are tough on all of them, but soon as Jameson sees what's happening, he's changing it up. He can and will give them both so much attention Misha's talkin' about some 'I got a headache' to get ten minutes to herself. And once they've worked out a balance, Misha get her chance to find her new bestie. Encouraging that sass, making sure she stands up for herself, letting her know she's got someone to talk to, always. Misha probably gets mad at JJ sometimes because his dadly behavior comes so naturally to him and Misha, well, she's a bit more aunt, best friend, big sis coded than a captial M Mom. But, the balance, that's what's important, and that part, that part they can do.
General Appearance: darker side of light skinned, pink lips, big eyes, perfect brows. little bit flamboyant, lil bit skater, in like a beachy round sunglasses and flower tucked behind your ear kinda way.
Personality: Keston is a little quiet, speaking only when he has something to say, tends to respond in concise measure, and often lost in thought. He spends a lot of time reading. Skateboarding isn't so much a passion as it is the first vehicle he was allowed, a way to find his own sense of freedom. He's slow to open up to strangers, and he's typically pretty easy going. Sooner than he's likely to anger, he's much more likely so read someone for absolute filth without breaking from his self-imposed stoicism.
Special Talents: skateboard, also being an awoo but that is not really a talent
Who they like better: Misha
Who they take after more: you could argue both, like... if JJ's determination not to get caught outside his character met misha's cleverness and willingness to hurt ur feelings.
Personal Head canon: Keston is actually one of JJ's very many little cousins, the exact relation is a lot harder to parse, but there's truly no point in doing so. Either way, Keston comes to live with JJ and Misha after losing his own parents. Just him, a little suitcase and a skateboard. This will lead to JJ busting his ass many times learning how to skate so Keston can keep this thing that's important to him. it's only a year later he comes out as trans, and lucky him, he's got more support than he knows what to do with. Misha probably spends a lot of time worrying he'll be too soft, he seems soft. He doesn't have the same big dog energy that lets JJ get away with it unbothered. But as she gets to know him, as he gets older and conflict inevitably arises, Misha will be very relieved to see Keston tell someone about themselves. JJ's much less worried, but he just thinks that he's not above beating up some kid picking on nephew is all.
