“Recruited!” He sauntered to the heap of scrap in it’s bin, giving it a look over before casually kicking it over with an unceremonious clatter. “Given an offer we couldn’t refuse! I mean, it pays well enough. Plus beats prison, yeah? AHEHEHEHE. I’m known internationally, you know!”
He sat himself down on the floor quite proudly, hefting his tire off his back to lean up nearby as he sifted through the spread out pile clogging the pathway. “Best of the best of the best of the best,” He mumbled, as though if he repeated it enough, it would sound more true, or at least plausible, “At blowin’ stuff up and general Mayhem!” And not because of… other reasons.
Quick glances her way as he sorted and babbled showed a lot of interesting looking racks of tools and boxes of who knew what… parts, look for things that were glowy, that always was promising, or at least shiny. Parts that moved or chemicals in jars. Unspent cartridges of any size and sort and application… It all blew up in the end. Or powered an engine of destruction of some sort or other.
So far the scraps pile was outright rubbish. He set a few sheets of metal to the side for appearances.
“Of course you were.” Brigitte’s face ends up in the palm of her hand. It’s anyone’s guess as to who recruited Junkers. McCree, maybe. Or Lena. Even Winston, if he was desperate enough. Just the sort of idea to make the UN think the recall was a terrible idea.
A sigh, and she drags her hand from her face, shaking her head. “You’re a part of the same duo that caused a hell of a stir in London, aren’t you?” Seeing as the kid’s digging through that mess now, Brigitte can get back to her workbench. The latest project is a new emitter for Reinhardt’s shield. One that doesn’t give out quite so quickly.
Lots of finite work. She might be able to concentrate enough to hold a conversation, but her head’s down as she works, fiddling with connections a bit too delicate to take her gaze off of very often.
