friendship

we share moments more than feelings and leave each other in trails of dust thick enough to catch saliva in our throats. i’ve learned that “friends” is a fickle word that can twist and bend to the desires of the speaker. manipulating words to manipulate each other hoping to catch one another in the crosshairs of spewing anger. we just shoot and worry about the casualties when we feel like it’s time to apologize.

i like the idea of bouncing around in your mind like a pinball. tilt your version of reality a little to the left. photographs are more beautiful when we know the story behind them. the grass will always be greener if you manipulate the lens.
