I think the craziest rebrand I had was going from vehement anti-drug teen/young adult to the knowledgeable stoner of my workplace at 25.

My high school friends shocked that I had essentially become my workplace’s bud tender after saying for years that it’s stupid to smoke weed 😂

#personal #to be fair I meant taking drugs before your brain is properly developed and lowkey I remain correct #anyway #do drugs responsibly and at an appropriate age and with appropriate research #and at 30 I’ve done my fair share of dabbling but I pretty much just stick to plants

Rest in peace Akihiro Miwa (1935-2026)

I haven't seen anyone talking about this and just wanted to make a quick post on here.

Akihiro Miwa recently passed away peacefully june 20th, and was not only a drag queen and a queer icon, but also the japanese voice of Arceus in the movie Arceus and the jewel of life, as well as the witch from Howl's moving castle and Moro from Princess Mononoke.

Rest in peace and thank you for the wonderfull impact you made in this world.

The first published study about climate change (that I am aware of-- feel free to point out if there's an older one) is an 1896 paper by Svante Arrhenius. He pointed out the link between the greenhouse effect and changes in atmospheric CO2.

Plate tectonics, which the geoscience community now recognizes as near indisputable, was a fringe theory until about the 1960s.

Just in case anyone thought that climate change was a "recent fad" in research.
