So I love women. But I’m an open minded queer. I’ve had my adventures with males in the past. So this weekend i opened the dating apps to guys and got a pretty huge response in terms of matches. Only a quarter of them messaged me. Another chunk unmatched me when they read my profile. But what I learned most of all, to ask pretty early on: do you actually want to be seen in public with me on a date or do you just want to discreetly see me in private? And so far nearly all want the latter.

First day of life up until 6th grade

Jumped all the way to Freshman year of High School

Then I cut my hair Junior year, why did I do that

Slowly it started growing back and then….

I finally felt comfortable to express myself (the picture on the left was my debut)

At this point in my transition I am 6 months into HRT

A year on HRT

Over a year and a half on hormones. My transition hasn’t been the clearest path but I am so happy that I am on it.

Its been a while since I’ve done an update so here it goes

At this point I am 3 years into my Hormone Replacement Therapy. I’m thriving.

These pictures were taken days apart and I am 3 and a half years into my medical transition (The picture on the right was also posted by Instagram on all their major social media handles attached with an interview I did with them for International Women’s Month)

During this time I was 4 years into HRT. Clearly living for it.

I am currently 4 and a half years into HRT, 5 years into socially transitioning, 6 years into when i first came out to my community around me and I’m loving life more than I ever thought I would.

Lil mini update!! It’s my 5 years on hormones and I think that’s quite the milestone to be proud of so here’s some pics since the last update.

Can’t wait to see how the next 5 years go!

What does pride month mean to you?

To me… pride means never having to apologize for who I am. It means never having to question whether I should have come out. Pride month means I have a chance to express myself in ways others were never able to because of the society we live in. Pride month means allowing myself to live to my fullest potential as the woman I am. Pride month is also the reminder that we have a long ways to go. Pride month is the reminder that there are those who want us dead simply for existing. A reminder of Stonewall and all of the lives lost in a war that shouldn’t have to exist just to gain some equality and safety in this world. Pride month is a symbol of hope that greater things will come. The symbol of freedom for so many who are locked in dark closets, hiding from the world, just as I was with countless others. The symbol of community and love and acceptance even in the face of chaos and evil. The beacon of light which helps us remember that we are here, and we are strong for existing. The light shining through the cracks in the door to show you parts of yourself that you may not otherwise see. Pride Month may only be 1 month of the year, but PRIDE… that is forever. Our pride allows us to stand tall against those who try to throw us down into the dirt. Our pride is what binds us together.

This is what pride month means to me. This is what I am celebrating.

Yep, in a partnership with young adult retail brand ASOS, Crayola now has a line of 58 vegan and cruelty-free beauty products, which includes “face crayons,” mascara, highlighters, and eyeshadow palettes. Shades, such as Tumbleweed and Dandelion, match the names of actual Crayola crayons.

Elle notes the collection is “gender fluid,” citing a press release about the line from ASOS. They also note that both men and women are shown wearing the product in the campaign’s photos.

And no, you can’t just use real crayons as makeup. They’re not “designed, tested, or approved” for that purpose, according to the crayon giant’s website.
