Warning, the footage above is graphic. There is no gore or death, but it shows the very real and dire circumstances refugees currently face in Moria on Lesbos.
Today, Joko and Klaas, a German duo of Entertainers/TV Personalities, got 15 minutes on live primetime tv on a major channel to do whatever they want. It’s the prize of a silly gameshow they sometimes do.
This time they used it to highlight the desperate situation in the refugee camp Moria on the island of Lesbos in Greece, to show people the situation. It was all filmed and narrated by a refugee on Lesbos, who also narrates the footage. The first three minutes are in German, afterwards everything is in English, subtitles might be added in the future, they have done so on previous videos.
This is in Europe. In the EU that always prides itself on its values and how it champions humans rights, that won the Nobel Peace Prize in 2012.
