Imagine being born and immediately being dumped in front of some poor bastard’s doorstep. For Milo, that’s exactly what happened. Abandoned as a baby, Milo showed up to his reluctant adoptive father’s doorstep in a fuckin’ shoebox. Milo’s adoptive father, Frank, was serving in Barghest at the time he found little Milo. He was a relatively good dad, Milo can’t complain. Frank always made sure the boy never went hungry, at least knew how to read and write, normal shit. But Milo actually had shown some kind of talent for fighting from a pretty young age. He’d get on his old man’s nerves for always ending up in some street fight, not to mention that he used the money he won in said fights to get chipped. After acquiring enough chrome to weigh twice as he did before, Milo, being Frank’s boy, caught the attention of Frank’s Barghest buddies. Milo had this… thing… an affinity for leaving the targets he drops completely unrecognizable, mangled. Frank blames his boy’s chrome. “It’s the chrome, the fuckin’ pounds of metal in yer body, messin’ with yer head!” He’d say to Milo… And maybe it was. Milo certainly never denies that the hunger to get stronger and deadlier didn’t stem from that first time he got his first combat implant installed. Eventually, Milo was scouted and allowed to join Barghest. Usually, that’d be it for a normal Barghest pup. Though, Milo’s ever-growing reputation of ‘leaving people looking like victims of a freak accident’ eventually caught the ears of the alpha of D-town. The first time Milo met face to face with Kurt was the first time Milo could hear his own blood rushing, his own heartbeat pounding in his ears. Infatuation, maybe. Something like that. Definitely obsession, because since then, Milo has been breaking his back to get the attention of the colonel. Got similar cyberware, started to hang around in the same circle, in Kurt’s orbit, chasing a “Good job.” that makes him feel oh so high. Wanting to be Kurt, or wanting Kurt? Yes. The answer is yes.
