Only problem with this plan is that we’d have to attend classes later in the day to make up for missing the mornings. I don’t know if it would even out. It’s worth a try though.
I didn't consider that, head was too clouded with the prospect of not having to force myself out of bed at 8.
I feel like the only solution here is to make school shorter and get rid of a few subjects, I certainly wouldn't mind saying goodbye to Runes and History of Magic. Who really needs those, anyway?

Wayward Sons; Sirius & James [feat. Marlene]
[If it was anywhere near a dining hour and Sirius didn’t know where to find James, looking where there was food was usually a successful thing to do. The Great Hall was the main gathering place in Hogwarts, therefore it was always busy, and Sirius had to practically stand on top of a table to spot the bespectacled boy. But once he did, his legs couldn’t move fast enough. Sirius leaped from the floor and dodged through the mass of students to reach his friend, calling his name before he had even reached him.]
Prongs, Prongs – mate! [He bellowed out in quick breaths, enthusiasm radiating off him like sunlight. Sirius skidded to a stop and caught his arm around the shorter-haired boy, pulling him close (and practically knocking him over because he was so excited.) He glanced over his shoulders, and lowered his volume to an almost whisper.] Look what I swapped a couple scarab beetles for. [Pulled from the deep pocket of his robe was a slender vile of fluorescent liquid. It shimmered under the dim light that managed to peek past the boys’ figures, broadcasting it’s magical essence.] Exploding Fluid.
[Sirius drew back from James, enough to see the full of his visage. A wide grin coiled across his lips and he raised an eyebrow. It was a familiar look he had given any one of the Marauders before – an expression that told them that he had some sort of prank in mind.]
{ James had been about to tear into a slice of toast when he heard his name being called out from somewhere further down the Gryffindor table, so he lowered it back down to his plate, glancing around in search of the source. He recognised the voice, of course, but it still took him a good few moments until he located it- just in time, too, to stop himself from being knocked clean off the bench when Sirius bumped into him. If it wasn’t for the boyish excitement radiating off his best mate, or if it was anyone other than Sirius, James probably would’ve told them to piss off and let him finish eating. He wasn’t usually that cranky, but he wasn’t a morning person in the slightest. } Alright, mate?
{ He grinned at him in greeting, but raised an eyebrow when Sirius pulled the little vial from the pocket, and reached out to take it from him- but being careful to check none of the staff were looking in their direction as he did so. The look on Sirius’ face was one James was all too familiar with, and he always knew what it meant, and it caused an identical grin to spread across his own face. } I’m assuming you’ve already got something planned for this. { It was more of a statement than a question, because considering he was so excited, he was bound to already have some sort of prank in mind. }
Go on then, before you explode- what’re you thinking?

[ Lily had to squeeze her eyes shut and take a few deep calming breaths before even attempting to respond to James. Still, she couldn’t help it when her foot just happened to dig itself into James’ shin.]
It would kill me as much as it would kill you to use table manners, obviously. [ The Head Girl mumbled, tossing her napkin on her plate. It was a sign of reluctant retreat. Lily knew it was a pet peeve of hers, bad table manners. ] As long as I have to sit right here and look at you, I have to see you eat like it’s your last supper. Now, James, would you please maybe consider eating with more manners in the future?
[ Then, she sighed. This was the best she could do to try at a compromise, because even though she didn’t want to back down, he did have a point. No one was really watching him, were they? Lily had been being a bit petty, but she wasn’t going to admit that. Not to him. ]
Besides, I’d hate to see you choke and your parents having to write that the cause of death was choking on peas or something like that? You’ve built your reputation so high, it’d be a shame if the mighty James Potter was taken down by some peas.
{James couldn't quite help the little smirk which began to curl his lips upwards on one side when she squeezed her eyes shut- but a moment later, he found himself emitting a yelp as his hand disappeared underneath the table to rub at his shin, and he scowled at her, huffing.}

{He raised an eyebrow as she politely re-phrased what she'd already asked of him- she'd never willingly been polite to him before, even though she was lovely to everyone else, so it came as quite a surprise. But he found himself nodding. Plus, she did have a point- it'd be completely humiliating if a couple of peas got the better of him and managed to take him down.}
Alright, fine- I wouldn't want that to be what killed me off. How embarrassing would that be? So I suppose I could give it a go, but only because you asked so nicely.

It's a Date || Past Para || James & Marlene
It wasn’t like James Potter to be nervous- in fact, it was so out of character, that if anyone saw him, they might even convince themselves he was a different person in entirely. But as he made his way down to the corridor one Saturday morning, he couldn’t help but feel like his stomach was all in knots, and he found himself wondering whether this was as good an idea as he’d originally convinced himself it was.
Before this year, he’d never given much thought to girls. He’d always thought of them as nothing more than an annoyance – excellent prank targets, too, of course – but since he got back to school after the summer holidays, he couldn’t help but look at them differently- and whilst that was fun, he wasn’t sure he liked it much. Especially when the one girl who’d caught his attention the most was Marlene bloody McKinnon. His best friend. The girl he’d known since he was about three. And he fancied her.
He knew the lads would completely rip into him if they knew, which is why he’d made sure to keep this to himself- if she rejected him, he wasn’t sure he could handle that amount of humiliation. He’d have avoided letting Marlene witness it too if he could – but… well, he couldn’t.
He scanned the common room quickly with his eyes, and when he didn’t see Marlene there, he frowned- this would be much easier if they had a way of knowing where everyone was. He made his way through the almost-empty common room without really being spotted, only to smack straight into someone else. His head snapped up to see the one person he’d been looking for, and he grinned, rubbing his head which had knocked into hers- he was still yet to hit his growth spurt, apparently, something else which annoyed him.
“Hey Mar,” he said, in as cheerful a tone as he could muster, running a hand through his hair and ruffling it up at the back, before shoving both hands into the pockets of his robes. “That was lucky, I’ve been looking for you. You alright?”
All of this lying is going to come back to haunt you. Everyone knows I’m the good one. I would never participate in all that rule breaking you do.

I think I'll be alright- unless we can't find anyone decent enough to fill up the positions we lost last year, then I think I might just throw myself from my broom. To y'know, save me the humiliation of losing to Hufflepuff during our first match.
