# 1 favorite video of this decade, hands down.
Iâm beginning to recognise that real happiness isnât something large and looming on the horizon ahead but something small, numerous and already here. The smile of someone you love. A decent breakfast. The warm sunset. Your little everyday joys all lined up in a row.

Notice how God looks out for you in the little ways, too.
Note to self:
work fucking harder. suffer in silence and let your success do the talking
I have a student whose parents both work for homeland security and he was reading a book by Newt Gingrich today and I think he supports Trump because he got hella awkward when someone brought up the Melania Trump speech đ
We should make sure that we learn to treat lesser intelligent animals with care and compassion before we attempt interstellar travel. That would be proof that higher intelligences might treat us well. If we canât do that, we might as well accept that weâll be taken in as slaves or slaughtered.
god bless gordan ramseyÂ
Dude is only a dick to adults, awesome.
because, those adults should know what theyâre doing, theyâre cooks these are kids hes teaching to cook, therefore he is patient.Â

Humans quickly get a reputation among the interplanetry alliance and the reputation is this: when going somewhere dangerous, take a human.
Humans are tough. Humans can last days without food. Humans heal so fast they pierce holes in themselves or inject ink for fun. Humans will walk for days on broken bones in order to make it to safety. Humans will literally cut off bits of themselves if trapped by a disaster.
You would be amazed what humans will do to survive. Or to ensure the survival of others they feel responsible for.
Thatâs the other thing. Humans pack-bond, and they spill their pack-bonding instincts everywhere. Sure itâs weird when they talk sympathetically to broken spaceships or try to pet every lifeform that scans as non-toxic. Itâs even a little weird that just existing in the same place as them for long enough seems to make them care about you. But if youâre hurt, if youâre trapped, if you need someone to fetch help?
You really want a human.
There is a quality about women who choose men sparingly; it appears in their walk, in their eyes, in their laughter and in their gentle hearts.

She wasnât someone who would stand back and watch you slay the dragon, she would instead throw your sword away and teach you how to ride it.

Hi this is me whining because today was so very first-world difficult. I have this thing where Iâm terrified of loud noises- balloon popping, fireworks, even those little birthday poppers- completely irrationally. I canât explain it but I feel a compulsion to run and hide and escape and my heart rate goes crazy and tears just show up. The fourth of July has been a nightmare literally for as long as I can remember and this year was particularly crazy in my neighborhood because Iâm pretty sure everybody pulled out some new brand of fireworks that are the kind of loud that feels like shockwaves are reverberating inside you and everywhere around you. And my parents try to be supportive bc they know Iâve been like this since I was a baby but I think they just donât understand that telling me to âjust talk myself out of it nowâ or âjust ignore itâ is a physical impossibility. Even my sister, who I can usually count on to be on my team, finally got annoyed of it this year and tried to give me her own dose of exposure therapy, which of course only made me angry and desperate for an escape because you canât give someone exposure therapy when theyâre not in control of the environment. And my auntâs just like âyouâre not a baby anymore, you canât let yourself be like this,â as if I havenât braced for days before every single Fourth of July and New Years and Disneyland visit telling myself that this is going to be the year I finally get over it. And hearing that invalidation and dismissal of very real visceral reactions I have and would love to be free of, repeated every night for weeks now because thatâs how far in advance people here have started up their fireworks, has been really sucky and emotionally draining and isolating because duh Iâd like to enjoy them with everyone, duh I hate being so on edge on nights like tonight that even a car door slamming can set me off. Basically Iâm glad fireworks season is over and am officially in search of therapy for this.
I just donât have the heart to fall in love.

Hours before he was killed, Allah yer7am. Hella tears watching this, and I can't help but think Allah honored him with a death during Ramadan. Whatever differing opinions there might be, it still stands that he lived reminding people of God's love and parts of Islamic history that a lot of us may not have explored otherwise.
