I don't think there's any doubt that Tim Curry could have played a very good Professor Hidgens if TGWDLM had been a large-scale Broadway production instead of a small indie show.

Curry can play relatively serious roles (citation: Annie) as well as flamboyant ones (citation: we all know what I'm talking about), and he can keep notes rich while sustaining them. I don't know how he'd fare with the high notes in the tenor section of "Show Stoppin' Number", and he's retired now, but man... I would have paid a lot of money to see him perform that.

Why does the Hatchetfield timeline on the wiki say the Working Boys died in 1988?? They died when they were all in college with Hidgens, and in 1988 Hidgens would've been 33. At most they would've died in 1973, maybe 74 if you push it. Is this just a massive mistake or am I missing something?

Well, Henry canonically has a doctorate in biology. So that’s four years to earn his bachelors degree, two to earn his masters degree, and eight years to earn his doctorate. So Henry would have been finishing up his doctorate around this time. And he’s the kind of guy who would definitely take a gap year between high school and university.
