Personality: Ever the troublemaker, she has a bit of a mouth on her that tends to land her in hot water. Brash but at her core she’s kind and caring. A loyal friend.
History: An only child, Melantha grew up under her parents' thumbs. Their expectations for her were high as they wanted her to be a success in life. This meant lots of piano lessons, gymnastics, and studying throughout her schooling. As a teenager she began to rebel as most teenagers do. Getting in with the wrong crowd, smoking, listening to rock/metal music. At the age of 17 her parents were both killed in a devastating car crash, leaving her to fend for herself. She ended up homeless after that. Desperate to provide for herself, she sold her body on the streets before selling it to science. She was used as an experiment in gene splicing a human with night-blooming jasmine which led to her getting her powers. Afterwards the lab considered her experiment a failure and refused to pay her, leaving her alone to adjust to her new biology. She adjusted with the help of Pamela Isley. She continued to live on the streets, stealing to get by, holed up in an abandoned warehouse. Eventually, she took up vigilante work as Nightbloom. She got a job as a part time bartender and she even got to play music at the bar she worked at. Enter Jason Todd. The two of them end up having a deep and meaningful relationship based on the fact that they're both just broken Gotham kids.
