My interpretation is that Charlie doesn't have a problem with the skull necklace in and of itself, but he has a problem with the amount of work required to keep the curse away.

I think that Charlie doesn't trust Frank to wear it 24/7 and he doesn't want to constantly have to keep track of the necklace.

the 'we're gonna tell a gay love story for the ages' speech definitely felt (to me) like a more long-term thing, like them deliberately saying 'this is happening but we're being deliberate about it and it might take longer than u expect, just go with us here'

I was hoping they’d address MacDennis by the end of this season (because the build-up was SO good and because of RCG’s talk about a “major event” this season), but they still have time to address it.

I understand the disappointment, but some MacDennis fans need to take a breather and remember that the show is not over yet.

Random Thoughts on the “Waiting for Big Mo” Finale

This episode really made me want to play laser tag. I loved the aesthetics.

Dennis was such a messy bitch this episode. He is literally the corniest character on tv.

That CharDen was good shit.

Frank was ridiculously cute in this episode and I love that for him.

Dee was cute, of course. Loved her energy when Charlie and Mac started calling her a bird and shooting her in the face with their guns.

Some nice classic Charlie in this ep.

I’m not understanding how some fans are thinking that RCG were complaining about feeling forced/compelled/resentful about continuing the show. Like, they made a big song and dance about leaving forever, came back like “Surprise bitch!”, and lit their competition/haters the fuck up. It was Bitch You Thought: The Episode. RCG have said in interviews that they’ll do the show as long as they enjoy it and I don’t see any reason for them to lie about that.

HONESTLY my biggest complaint about this season is the fact that RCG said there would be some kind of big reveal. I was sitting there watching the finale just waitin’ and waitin’…WHERE IS THAT BIG REVEAL DUDES? XD

If “Waiting for Big Mo” ends up being the series finale because FX doesn’t renew IASIP, it will low-key be the perfect ending for the show. What better way to end the show than the Gang surrounding and simultaneously shooting a small child with laser tag guns?

i know cringe culture is like bad but dennis using that fake aave voice was ... cringe. like i can at LEAST understand the arguments behind d** d** but what was the excuse for this lmao. the joke is literally that dropping -s’s and affecting that dialect is funny in and of itself. and it’s not funny. a priveleged white guy in his 40s unironically saying “dolla dolla billz yall” is soooo fucking low. like even south park and family guy make fun of people thinking that passes as a joke. it’s punching down without even a punchline.

and the excuse that they’re terrible people does not work here because in this episode they’re not being terrible people and there’s no foil to show it.

I don’t think the intention was for AAVE/ebonics to be *the* joke. I don’t think they were making fun of people or trying to punch down at all.

Z uses AAVE but the show doesn’t make fun of him for how he speaks. He’s just a naturally funny and amusing character like all of the other side characters.

I think one of the most important things that’s being missed is that the fake cash literally has the words “dolla dolla bills” on them, which is making fun of corporations’ usage of AAVE to appear hip and cool/attract the youth.

Dennis, who is always trying to come across as “the cool one” and is still struggling with the fact that he’s getting “old,” was directly inspired by the words on the cash and, in his attempt to appear young/hip/cool, he came across as the idiot 40 year old privileged white man that he is. Like, Dennis is the joke. Most black people would laugh at him like “What the fuck are you doing? Sit your corny, goofy ass down.”

I’m mostly black and I know I don’t represent all black people, but I thought Glenn’s shitty and over-the-top delivery was one of the funnier aspects of the episode.

And I strongly disagree that the Gang weren’t being terrible in this episode (Dennis was verbally abusive to Mac, Mac attempted to strangle Dee, Frank started a brawl by accusing a father of pedophilia, Mac and Dee admitted to deliberately breaking a child’s glasses, Mac called a child “piece of shit” and the Gang pretty much ganged up on him, etc.). They did not need a foil in this episode. Nearly every word that came out of the Gang’s mouth was coated in stupidity. (Mac deadass told Dennis that he didn’t think a cartoon man on fake cash was a real person)

People who watch the show should be able to figure out that the characters are terrible idiots without guidance. Anyone who watches this show and thinks “Hey, Dennis is randomly attempting to speak like how some black people speak. I should look down on and make fun of black people!” is literally too young and/or immature to watch this show. Like, that’s beyond RCG (Rob, Charlie, Glenn) at that point.

EDIT: I forgot to add the “Rutherford B. Crazy” thing that’s also on the fake cash, another important driving force behind Dennis’ idiocy and innate corniness.
