Even though Remilia employs a human as a servant, she views most humans as nothing but toys or prey. She values Sakuya purely for her qualities as a servant, and would not hesitate to make use of her as prey if it came to it. She views Reimu, Marisa, and Sanae as the few humans that are strong enough to be interesting, and is somewhat wary of them while maintaining the facade that she fears no human.

remember that highschool AU from a year ago? well, this is kind of an expansion of that, i guess. my friends and i talked about it a long time ago and i decided to bring it back. gensokyo is this super secluded hick town and reimu is a regular (?) human kid who gets invited to transfer over to a super prestigious school—which she isn’t aware is actually full of magical beings/unusuals. (more of my rambling under the cut)

BUT ANYWAY, SINCE I’M GOING TO REWRITE THAT WHOLE SON OF A BITCH, HERE:

The Touhou Project is an indie bullet hell shooter series created by ZUN for Windows. Other than for five games, ZUN has made every single aspect of the games by himself - coding, programming, composing music, drawing, and writing dialogue. The other five times were either with Tasogare Frontier for fighting games, and someone else (don’t remember who) for Great Fairy Wars. The main games themselves basically require you to navigate your way through the brightest and prettiest shit you have ever seen, which also happens to be the deadliest you’ve ever seen.

The games take place in the fantasy world of Gensokyo, where humans and youkai coexist as peacefully as possible when flying lolitas are shooting at each other for the hell of it. The main playable characters are the shrine maiden Reimu Hakurei and her friend, the ordinary magician Marisa Kirisame. There have been other playable characters, but Reimu and Marisa are basically like universal constants. The two girls (and sometimes other girls) go around Gensokyo, solving incidents caused by (usually bored) youkai. This has been going on for 21 total games now, with the latest installment being Double Dealing Character. 

Okay, now that you know about the games, the fandom. What you’ve seen from me isn’t nearly everything this fandom has. We have the traditional memes, like Cirno the Nineball/Baka, Sakuya’s pads, and Marisa Stole the Precious Thing. There’s plenty of fanmade comics that are about lame stuff, puns, etc etc. But that’s not all.We’re talking about the big things. Because of how good ZUN’s music is, there are COUNTLESS doujin circles that make and publish arranges of his music, of literally every genre imaginable. There are ORCHESTRAL ARRANGES of the BGM, a notable circle for that being Tutti Sound. Music aside, there’s also plenty of mangas, doujinshi, hentai, amazing fanart, basic stuff like that. But the best part? We got HUNDREDS of fanmade animations that go along with remixes/vocals, and they are extremely well made. To the point where an animation studio called Manpuku Jinja already has two episodes up for a secondary anime project that recreates the games as anime. As far as I know, the soundtrack/openings/endings are provided by Yuuhei Satellite, another doujin circle. Manpuku Jinja’s project is known as Memories of Phantasm, or also Fantasy Kaleidoscope. There is another anime project by a professional animation studio (don’t remember the name) called A Summer Day’s Dream, which doesn’t follow the plot to any particular game. However, ZUN himself has made it clear that he does not want any official Touhou animes because he wants the series to be known for what it started as.

Well, y’see, it’s popular alright, all around the world even, but the fanbase is mainly Japanese oriented! Because it’s such a big deal in Japan, it hasn’t spread very much in the western world. That’s why I’m so desperate to find blogs who post it on Tumblr; I love the project very much, and I want people to know about it too, so that’s why I blog about it so often! 

Just a quick note before I end this off: If you’re interested in playing the games, you can simply google the titles of the games (with the suffix of “full download english version”) and you should get mediafire results. If you’re still curious about the games, feel free to send me an ask to list all the titles (it’s honestly no trouble since I’ve memorized them all by heart)!

With all that said, please try to spread Touhou around in the west! We’re a really small fandom over here in America, so if you spread the word, more people can find out about this amazing series!

If a vampire does not consume blood for an extended period, what happens to them?

It is essentially the same as starving a human. They will grow weaker and thinner until they die. They are able to go longer periods of time without blood than a human would be able to go without food, though. Compare the week that a human would starve in to the few weeks it would take a vampire to be blood-starved.
