A year of oil portraits, mixed media illustrations and some digital! I had a lot of fun and learned a lot and I’m now working on exciting projects 😁 a good art year, I would say! Especially after it started with my first art block!

In these days, Bones and All hits the theatres worldwide. Have you watched it?

I confess to be a Timothée Chalamet fan, and I loved the novel by Camille DeAngelis this is based upon. So I was really excited for this, but also worried because it wasn't an easy story to adapt to the screen! But the result is such a beautiful movie!! <3 A perfectly balanced mix of love, horror and road trip, with beautiful photography!

Do you design a lot of characters living in not-modern eras and you’re tired of combing through google for the perfect outfit references? Well I got good news for you kiddo, this website has you covered! Originally @modmad made a post about it, but her link stopped working and I managed to fix it, so here’s a new post. Basically, this is a costume rental website for plays and stage shows and what not, they have outfits for several different decades from medieval to the 1980s. LOOK AT THIS SELECTION:

There’s a lot of really specific stuff in here, I design a lot of 1930s characters for my ask blog and with more chapters on the way for the game it belongs to I’m gonna be designing more, and this website is going to be an invaluable reference. Last year, I painted this illustration for the Page of Wands and now the Kickstarter for the Woven Path tarot deck is live, funded and will end in a couple of days! It’s a project by the Changeling Artist collective and I love the work they did with the design of the back of the card and the box 😍 doesn’t it look amazing?

“A portrait of Malta Vestrit” by Francesca Resta Digital/Corel Painter www.nijiart.it My late entry for this week Month of Love challenge, with theme “Beauty”. When I read this theme I knew I had to paint a portrait of Malta: she is a character from the Liveships Trilogy by Robin Hobb and both Love and Beauty have great importance in her life, but she matured so much during the story and with her changed also the meaning she gave to Love and Beauty. This is how I imagine her after the end of Ship of Destiny, it’s a very free interpretation, I’m not sure it perfectly matches the description in the book... it’s just how I picture her in my mind. There is no particular reason for painting a locket with her portrait, but I do think it’s something that Reyn could have.

I hope to come back and work more on this in the future because I like the concept. The planet was referenced from a picture by NASA.

L’ultimo libro di “Nina, la bambina della Sesta Luna” uscirà presto in libreria, con le mie illustrazioni, sia sulla copertina che interne! E’ stata una grandissima emozione lavorare ad una saga tanto amata <3 Quando uscirono i primi volumi, li comprai anche io per la mia sorellina e mai avrei immaginato di poter far parte un giorno delle fantastiche avventure di Nina! Non vedo l’ora di avere per le mani il volume!! ^^

ENG–The last book of the series “Nina, la bambina della Sesta Luna” (Nina, the child of the Sixth Moon) is going to hit bookstores’ shelves very soon, with my cover and internal illustrations! This is a widely loved series in Italy, when the first books were published, several years ago, I bought them for my little sister… I would have never believed, at that time, that I would have played a part in Nina’s wonderful adventures! It’s been such a honour <3 Now I can’t wait to have the printed book in my hands!! *__*
