( emiko. )
“Oh, hey there!” Emiko greeted loudly, a smile painted across her face as soon as the stranger had called out to her. Not that she ever wore any other expression other than a smile, believing in the ideal that it was the best accessory someone could wear. She was amused by the extravagent way the other talked, his formality eliciting a small giggle out of her before she introduced herself. By his accent and name, she could only assume he was from the same sort of area she grew up, before being pulled into Hiraeth.
“My name’s Emiko – hey, you wouldn’t be familiar with ‘Japan’ would you?” She asked abruptly, excitement filling her words. She knew that some people preferred not to speak of their home worlds, but meeting someone with a familiar sounding name only served to remind her of her own home: and no matter how unwanted she felt there, she still missed the busy streets of Tokyo.
“Sorry if that was a little strange to ask! Is it okay if I call you Wataru~? Or would you prefer Hibiki?” She then asked, tilting her head curiously. “It’s been so long since I was back home, first names are just normal to me now.”
“Oyaa? Emiko -- what a lovely name! A pleasure to meet you, truly. As to answer your inquiry, I am from Japan. You, too, must be so?” Needless to say, it was intriguing to meet someone from his world he wasn’t already acquainted with. After all, being an idol and attending a school dedicated to raising you for the career, it wasn’t exactly a simple thing to go running around meeting new people.
He shakes his head, laughing softly. “Not strange at all.” And he’s good friends with the concept of eccentricism. “You may call me as you like! Wataru is fine, and I presume Emiko is fine with you?”
Her words pique his curiosity though, and his eyes widen in surprise. “How long have you been here, if I may ask?”
