At what point does it stop being a reader insert and become an OC?

Like is it only about the looks being described or does the amount of details about the character's background matter as well? Like whats the line for you?

Y'all I need audio book recs. For context I have audible and I am a terrible reader for a number of reasons so I pretty much only listen to books.

I preety much only read queer romantasy. I will consider cishet books if the fantasy aspect is amazing and I will read nonfantasy fiction if the romance plot is just irresistible.

Books I have loved so far:

Goliaths of Wrestling series by Lily Mayne

The last two are incomplete and I am dying for the next update but both books probably won't be on audible for another year 🫠😭. Please help me out.

Kindle has a font that helps with dyslexia and is helping me read a book that has no audio book. The book is A Bone in His Teeth by Kellen Graves it’s amazing. So yall can now also recommend me books that don’t have audiobooks.
