Patient Politics in Wonderland..
“There is a place, like no place on earth. A land full of wonder, mystery, and danger. Some say, to survive it, you need to be as mad as a hatter. Which, luckily, I am.” ― Lewis Carroll
This week was just another barrage of new experiences in the world of "patient politics." I definitely feel a little bit of Alice in Wonderland at times. I am so deep in Tulgey Wood chasing that white rabbit through every tea party and happenstance I encounter.
Every day I wake up there is no difficulty for me to go and be present for medical cannabis patients. As long as there is no safe access, there are no breaks.. only naps and snacks in between meetings, phone calls, emails, and events.
“Why, sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast.”
And still.. here I am viewing all of this happening through the looking glass..
“If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense. Nothing would be what it is, because everything would be what it isn't. And contrary wise, what is, it wouldn't be. And what it wouldn't be, it would. You see?”
Two definitions of one word that are utter nonsense.. (Webster's)

Every player and character on the path home is co-creating their role in leadership or absurdity. For that, even when I awake from this incredible dream, I will be grateful..
“But I don’t want to go among mad people," Alice remarked.
"Oh, you can’t help that," said the Cat: "we’re all mad here. I’m mad. You’re mad."
"How do you know I’m mad?" said Alice.
"You must be," said the Cat, "or you wouldn’t have come here.”
