Thinking about Catra going into the electricity brainwashing acid pit for Adora 

All the pain she went through as she was drowning surrounded by clones

had her neck chipped and her hair cut off 

tortured by electricity again when she tried to fight it for adora

and she did it all for adora bc she loved her

After a lifetime of that too, plus three years working herself to the bone to ESCAPE that, doing anything it took, preferring to DIE and destroy the universe instead of facing her life-long torturer and risk going back to that life, with one year or so where she was convinced that Adora had given up on her for the choice she made while escaping said torturer (and hence thinking she had lost it all).

It’s all the pain of her life in one.

That was her life, the only good thing in it was Adora, and when Adora left, and she did everything she could to escape the abuse and prove everyone wrong, she escaped it, proved herself… and then willingly returned to it, either to die (and prove everyone right about her: She was worthless, she never mattered) or live as a puppet for the rest of her life.

Her own life and suffering were nothing when compared to the importance Adora had for her.

I see that she did that not for redemption but for actually do a last good thing and save Adora because she was completely sure that at that point Adora all ready gived up on her after all she did, Catra was sure that Adora wouldn’t go back for her and she didn’t wanted too. Her redemption stated when she decided to help them and face her blame of the things she did.
