after quinn was kicked from the band, bert began changing the bridge of blue and yellow at some select shows, replacing it with the outro of sold my soul, sometimes modifying the lyrics.

this show was three days before bert’s in-person court mediation with quinn to settle the lawsuit in SLC. at 3:50, he says, “of course you belong, never meant to leave you lonely. of course you belong, so please, please, please. of course you belong, i never meant to leave you lonely. of course you belong, so please forgive me.” and then he gets onto his knees at it looks like he starts crying. the same day as the court mediation (january 28th), bert played a show in SLC at metro music hall, though they didn’t play blue and yellow that night.
