I've spent so much time making little doodles mocking that big lizard with my friends. It's surprisingly easy to mock him. Honestly if you have a piece of paper and a utensil, take a swing at it. It is soo freeing.

Okay, now that I have a place to stay for a bit, a PSA for other Izzet engineers and artificers: Do NOT overload a new machine in an area with damageable hardware & infrastructure. If, like me, your workshop/laboratory was built with walls and ceiling to resist/prevent unexpected explosions, make sure that there are no holes, cracks, or breaches in the walls/ceiling before overloading the machine. If you must activate the machine in your workshop/laboratory, I personally recommend creating a smaller, controlled explosion beforehand, to find any weak spots in your building's lining. This PSA has nothing to do with the recent explosion in Precinct 6.

It should be around Wayport. Um, probably not large enough to cause much lasting damage to the infrastructure of anything, and it's not near any strongly guild-affiliated buildings. Uhh... It shouldn't have a very large radius, but it should reach pretty high altitude and whatever it does overlap, uh, is gonna be pretty irreparable. Umm. I definitely don't have anything to do with it though, but I'm sure whoever caused this did it by complete accident.

So, I don’t mean any offense by this, but, between Cathars, vampires, werewolves, zombies, ghosts, demons, corrupted angels, and standard mobs of peasants with pitchforks and torches, Innistrad seems a bit awful. Have you considered going to a different plane?

There have been many times I've considered going through one of those Omenpaths since they first opened up, but Innistrad is my home. It's the place I belong. Would you consider leaving Ravnica with all it's internal politics and divide between the Guilds?

Well said. I certainly can't imagine living anywhere else. I've had members of other guilds ask me about leaving the Undercity before, but this place is home, even if you don't like the dark and the grime. If you live in the dark, you appreciate the light that much more.

Same here. I could run off to another plane that isn't so built over as Ravnica but Ravnica is my home and I have work to do here. Don't mind getting to visit and see others though.

Seriously. Why would I ever go live on a plane where I'd be sleeping in a drafty shack with ghosts screaming at all hours of the night.

I've got a nicely furnished apartment beneath the Smelting Quarter and the sound of forges at all all hours of the night. I'm good.

Honestly, as someone who has been in Izzet for a good decade now, I think more Izzet need to come to terms with the fact that there are really only 2 reasons why someone would join this guild:

1. They love explosions, but want to survive them (most people survive Izzet explosions. Rakdos explosions, however, are usually lethal)

2. They want to fuck one of the two guildmasters (Between Ral and Niv-Mizzet, who could blame them)

Personally, I'm of the opinion that recruitment efforts would go better if we started putting up posters with Niv-Mizzet pin ups on them, but when I tried to suggest that they kicked me out of the meeting room.

Mind Mage! I can dig through people's minds to find things they've forgotten, or read them. It's useful in library work- I have to know the location of every book and file in the archive, and it gets difficult remembering how I organise everything. Now, I would like to disclose that I use my magic entirely legally and ethically. Neither I nor any other member of my guild continues the practice of erasing others memory non-consensually. I also only attempt to read the minds of people whom I suspect have intent to harm me or my library.

I learned the words of power of pre-mending draconic on a world called Alagaësia. My magic technically falls under “Yore god occultism” which is discouraged but not illegal. I’m currently trying to figure out the true names of one of the AxeBane Ferroxes of the rubble belt in district 7. It has not been very cooperative with my inquiries. Do Not Pursue Me. The last arrester that tried had a sudden career change after he saw through the eyes of a golgari Gorgon prisoner in an azorious detention center for 13 years in 6 minutes.

I'm impressed, those feroxes generally don't leave "inquirers" alive. Also good work making that cop pay and fixing him. Not often they get a change of heart.

Most people seem to think I don't, but it is magic. A lot of people think artifice is just using gadgets to replicate spells, which is sort of true, but instead the magic is in creating the materials in question. I DO use a tiny catapult to fling a flaming rock instead of calling upon arcane power to cast fire bolt. I do NOT have the ability to make that catapult in an antimagic field. I think.

You realize Every guild kills people right? The reason I say the Golgari are a net good is because despite their services "protecting the sanctity of life and death" they also produce the fertilizer that grows our food. They're the entire reason starvation is basically unheard of on Ravnica, if you can't afford food, the Golgari will provide it to you.
