Better plot for Wish:

Instead of taking people’s wishes away, the king grants his subjects’ wishes by using the wishing star magic in the sky (making him both popular and well loved). However, this has the unfortunate side effect of using up the wishing star magic. Each wish takes a star, which will eventually leave no wishes for anyone else in the world, or for anyone in the future.

Our protagonist figures this out and now has to be the unpopular one to say “We need to stop making wishes.” (Something something make your own dream happen yourself instead of relying on magic).

The star coming down to earth is to figure out why all his star friends and family are disappearing. Star and protagonist team up.

Climactic ending? The whole thing about everyone being made of stardust, maybe have the kingdom citizens willingly take the place of all the missing stars, therefore becoming the very stars that all future Disney characters wish on.

I’ve been watching all the TMNT cartoons in the reverse order and I’ve finally reached the 1987 cartoon.

Gotta say, it’s weird seeing Baxter Stockman as a blonde white guy. 😅

I wonder how much money the creators of the He-Man ‘What’s Up’ got for their song being used in Mutant Mayhem. Also how wild must that have been? You make a joke video and over a decade later you get a call from a big studio about using your song in a major motion picture.

I’m happy Build A Bear is doing TMNT again, but also… Dude, the faces. Why is Leo so angry? And Mikey and Don, their embroidered faces just don’t look proportionally right in comparison to their heads. Cowabummer.

On a plus, they also now have TMNT accessories for the turtles too, so I can get katanas for my 2012 TMNT Leo build a bear.

I’m sure anyone interested in the movie has seen this by now, but I just thought this was a fun little clip that introduces the different mutants.

Question for you all, because I’m not familiar with New York myself. What part of New York do you think Mutant Mayhem takes place in?

This person online had a very good argument for how the 2012 TMNT took place in the Bronx. The Mutant Mayhem universe has a different feel to it than the 2012 universe though (I understand a lot of this has to do with budget, but let’s put that aside for the moment). Now, my memory is actually really terrible, but I do remember the scenery we saw in Mayhem was a lot more colorful, more lights, more people, giant glowing billboards, active underground subway stations. Did the brothers name-drop any locations towards the beginning of the movie that would clue us in?

Anyway, I’d love to hear opinions.

(Mutant Mayhem spoilers)

So one thing in that’s established in the Mutant Mayhem universe that really sets it apart from other TMNT universes is that, by the end of the movie, Leo, Raph, Mikey and Donnie are four teens that get to go off to high school, and all the other mutants (except for Mondo Gecko) are the ADULTS in this equation. They’re adults that the turtles are now living with.

By having the turtles be recognized by human society, by having them go to high school, Mutant Mayhem is emphasizing that these are in fact four KIDS, and the only thing a kid should have to worry about is going to school, learning, and trying to get good grades. By the end of the movie, the four brothers are doing after-school extracurriculars, they’re joining clubs, they’re going to school dances with other kids, and back home, the many adult mutants that are now involved in their lives will handle whatever adult situations that may come up.

The vigilantism, the whole fighting bad guys thing that the turtles have to deal with in all the other universes, I don’t see how the Mutant Mayhem bros could get involved in this going forward. I mean, I’m sure they will get involved, but it would probably be secretly and behind the backs of the adult mutants.

I’m just saying, whether it’s in the upcoming show or in the sequel, I could definitely see there being moments where the adult mutants try to keep the four brothers out of it and uninvolved. Telling them, Hey, don’t worry about it. We’ll handle it. You just worry about that math test you need to study for.

For once they’ll be expected to sit on the sidelines.

Just got out of Mutant Mayhem!! I won't talk about the movie here (it was amazing, and I highly recommend seeing it though), instead I'm going to show off the merch! This is the Leonardo Mutant Mayhem Combo Bundle with the Shell Shocker Green Apple Icee.

The bundle comes with a popcorn bucket that is a really nice metal tin, a 32oz drink cup that's alright but kind of flimsy, a cute little figure (mine has some paint issues) that you can hook onto the lid of the cup, and a surprisingly decent foam mask!

Final Space is coming back!!! Creator Olan Rogers won the liscense to produce a graphic novel to complete the story for his cancelled epic sci-fi series!

I’ll admit, the $125 price tag made me skeptical, but then I watched Olan’s video explaining it all and he convinced me. Pre-order made. Can’t wait to get it, even if it does take over a year.
