A man and his wife are walking down the street when the wife turns to her husband and says āhoney, I think itās snowingā the man looks back at her and says āno itās raining.ā To settle the debate between the two they ask the friendly redcoat standing at the end of the street. The redcoat, Rudolph tells them that it is in fact raining. The husband turns to his wife and says āsee, Rudolph the red knows rain dear.ā
You only realise how inaccurate the media is when they cover something you know a lot about
FUCK THIS!!! im a humanities/arts person!!! FUCK MATH!!! what the fuck is even calculus!!! what r u calculating!!!! fuck off!!!

writing conclusions in papers is like the stupidest thing ever though like whatās the point of dedicating an entire paragraph to āso yeah i know you just read my paper but this is a summarization of what you read in case you need to be reminded about what you just readā like why canāt the paper just endĀ
I keep seeing this post and similar ones, and if y'allās teachers and professors have left you with the idea that a conclusion is a summary, they have failed you in a big way.
Your conclusion is your āso whatās the fucking pointā section. Youāve given youāre reader a lot of info and now they need to know why they care. Depending on the type of paper you should be giving a plan of action, explaining how this knowledge changes our understanding of the topic, link your paper to other disciplines, suggest further areas of study, etc.
One of the best pieces of writing advice Iāve ever received is that if you canāt envision yourself dropping the mic and strutting off stage at the end of your conclusion then itās probably not strong enough.
āSo whats the fucking pointā is more helpful than all 6 years Iāve probably been writing papers
Listen up, chucklefucks: I have a point to make.
Some shit went down. Here are the receipts.
Here is the tea.
^ Introduction, supporting paragraphs, conclusion: a basic essay structure.
There are three major things to put into any major essay:Ā
The What
TheĀ āSo What?ā
And theĀ āNow What?āĀ
Your conclusion is theĀ āNow Whatā ā youāve convinced your readers that they need to pay fucking attention to something, and now you tell them what to do next. Itās not just summarizing and wrapping up your main points for the sake of repeating yourself. Itās like the last five minutes of class where Iām reminding students of the big takeaways about what we learned and giving them the homework that reinforces it in a way that holds their attention while theyāre trying to pack up their shit and get out.Ā
Wouldāve been nice to know this while I was in school!

Remember when Netflix and Tumblr didnāt exist and you read like 10 books a week? Good times.
One day I wanna be rich enough that I can just like. Give away hundreds of thousands of dollars every year in like scholarships or grants or whatever. That when I see someone make a post like āhey can I get $50 for groceriesā I can just donate $1000. Or tip my server their rent money. Like thatās the dream
i actually think about this all the time
BACK TO SCHOOL GIVEAWAY 1: Leuchtturm1917
If youāve spent 2 minutes browsing the Studyblr community, you will have read about bullet journaling. Since high school, Iāve loved the traditional planner style, but Iāve been converted to the bullet journal style of planning and notetaking. Not only can you exercise your creative muscles when creating pages tailored to your needs, but you can combine your to-do lists and tasks in one place.Ā
Kindly, Leuchtturm1917 sent me this dotted notebook to transform into the bullet journal of my dreams and review for you all. The notebook contains 251 numbered pages, a table of contents, and 12 perforated sheets at the back - perfect for sharing notes with your classmates. The 2 page markers make it really easy to find your most-used pages, and there is also an expandable pocket at the back to storeĀ loose pieces of paper.Ā
Iāve spent the last few days setting up this bujo for my upcoming Masters course, and Iām so excited to share them with you. Iām quite minimalistic when it comes to my weekly spreads - I know that I wonāt have much time to make them really elaborate and decorative, so Iāve kept the weekly spread down to the basics. On the left-hand box is the events Iāve got that day, and on the right is a space for all of my tasks to do that day. Once Iām at university, I might find that I need to change the layout slightly to allow for more space for to-doās, but thatās the beauty of a bullet journal - you can adapt to changes so easily! Whilst itās great to admire the artistic talent of the amazing bujoās shared in the community, remember that it does need to be functional and practical above all.
Iāve also included really useful pages. I found this essay-writing advice on Tumblr a while ago (I apologise for not crediting the original author - I couldnāt find it), and thought it would be really helpful to have it written out in my bullet journal so I can reference it when writing essays.
