“i’ve always hated you”
he was walking towards the wooden house, a grumpy look on his face. when he arrived at the door, he and his father were greeted by a young couple. he was then introduced to their daughter, a girl his age. she seemed shy, but nice. he kind of liked her eyes.
he was in the field of flowers with her, the tree hiding them from the sun, while the purple flowers imprinted themselves on their hearts. he did not know whether he wanted to stay here longer because of the nice weather, or if it was because of her.
he was trying to cool himself outside, when he heard the horse face’s words, “you have really beautiful black hair.” she barely acknowledged the guy, before moving towards him. “you should cut your hair,” he said, but regretted it the next moment. she agreed with him, which made it even worse. he really liked her hair.
he was standing in the field alongside her and their comrades, tears streaming down his cheeks as another loved face disappeared by a titan’s greed. but then she reminded him of his courage, of the power he held within. his acts of bravery, when he saved her from those men, and wrapped the scarf around her. and then he promised, he would always wrap that scarf around her.
he was listening to her as she spoke, but stopped her with a lie that was out of this world, “i’ve always hated you.”
but was it really hatred when they were meant from before?
