Yesterday I changed @linhere into Carol Danvers by way of bodypaint!
Two preview shots from the shoot on Saturday in Dutch nature park The Loonse and Drunense Duinen.
Models: Mariska Mulder & Mindy van Zon Photographer: Bram van Dal Make-up: Nine de Geus
Wendy modelled for a catwalk photo that was all about glowing, freckled skin, and a bold lip. Makeup by me.
For a school assignment I put liquid latex/old age stipple on my mum and aged her considerably. I find liquid latex a somewhat crude way to age someone up, as it is pretty hard to remove and not as easily blended out as other products. It also takes quite a long time to apply several layers on the whole face. The upside is that it is cheap!

Some photos of how I made the baldcap and sculpted the mouth prosthetic for the Nux make-up.
In October 2015 I found myself at the tv-studios to turn a troupe of young dancers into zombies for the Halloween episode of the BZT Show, a Dutch gameshow for children.
I was only supposed to work on the zombie make-up with two of my classmates, but at the last moment one of the children from the audience had to be turned into zombie Michael Jackson as well. Very exciting assignment, as suddenly I had to apply make-up while running through the studios with a set-bag and their regular make-up artist as my assistant.
You can watch the Halloween episode here.
I mostly used Kryolan supra colours, brow wax to hide the kid’s eyebrows and some conditioner and powder to make their hair look greasy. On the arms we used Kryolan aqua colours, to dirty them up and adjust to the overall theme (I only found out after the rehearsal that the kids would be wearing sleeveless shirts).
Black and white Biba look for school on the beautiful @applindy.

A baldcap assignment for school. I turned @linpatootie into Nux, from Mad Max Fury Road. For the mouth prosthetic, I was very much inspired by @freakmosfx‘s tutorial, although I had to use gelatin, which is not an ideal product for something that is applied to the mouth.
Scars on the side of the face have been made with scar wax from Grimas, which is quite translucent. For the scar on the nose I used Kryolan’s liquid collodion and alcohol activated colours from Skin Illustrator.

Work I did in 2015 for DOSSIER #776237 by Utrecht based theatre group Solon Toneel.
Prompt was absurdist make-up design that would intensify the actor’s facial expressions, yet create an alienating effect at the same time. I was inspired by Robert Wilson’s work, as well as traditional Chinese and Japanese theatrical make-up.
Make-up used was mostly Kryolan’s supra colours and Grimas creme colours in offwhite, black, grey and red.

My girl and I went to Elfia today and I got to give my Eighth Doctor/Night of the Doctor cosplay another outing. After-the-crash make-up included.
Near the end of the day I came across a Weeping Angel cosplayer which made for some awesome photos! If you’re on tumblr, please gimme a shout and I’ll tag you!
We had a lovely day but it was very cold and a bit dreary, so around five we packed up and got into our little blue TARDIS car to drive home.

To keep the Doctor’s crash-damaged face on all day, I used alcohol-activated paints from Skin Illustrator.
A baldcap assignment for school with a before (or during) photo slap-bang in the middle of the post, because I like that kind of thing!
For the robot make-up I used Kryolan and Grimas aqua facepaints and some Kryolan Blacky for the lines. The Kryolan metallics were a pain to work with because they hardly give off any colour and you can only do so many layers of aqua before it all starts rubbing off again. Covering a baldcap is definitely easier when you use supra or creme colours!
The baldcap is made with Glatzan (vinyl) and applied with spirit gum and acetone to smooth it all out neatly. Removal works best with a brush and a lot of spirit gum remover and patience. A little bit of greasepaint remover or vaseline comes in handy to remove the last bits of spirit gum.

A 60s Flower Power themed look for class! Heavy eyeshadow, liner and lashes. Emphasis on creating hollow eyes and cheeks, but not as colourful as the mod look. I mostly used Make-Up Studio cosmetics.
