after watching the final episodes (which were so good omg???), i don't blame thunderfang for getting mad at the source dragons when half of them react to the summoning of an arc dragon by completely withdrawing from the council. they are not above mortal affairs, no matter what they believe, and i don't understand how they can be so ignorant when they know what happened to balance.

and what does withdrawing from the council mean anyway? since we saw lloyd struggle with his powers, i think it implies those elements can no longer be properly controlled by their masters. that means cole, geo, lloyd, zane and sora will not be able to control their elements next season (at least for some time, but i don't think this problem can be solved quickly.)

or does life just hate lloyd and decided to make him suffer 😭😭

but i still think creation and destruction are under balance (if they are considered elements, which i'm pretty sure they are). it fits into the whole "there needs to be balance between creation and destruction" theme of ninjago.

Hey guys! I had this idea a few months back, thinking of how Morro and Lilly would likely find comfort with each other. Both having been elemental masters and students of Wu.

In this painting Lilly is concerned for Cole and Lou. Morro is sitting by as a friend and emotional support. Was hoping to get this piece finished before part 2 came out, and well! I did it! ^^

headcanon that cole is the most resistent to jay's powers since grounding gets rid of electrical charge and he is the master of earth. so when jay gets excited or upset and sparks start to form around him cole is the only one who can safely touch him

bonus: when jay is annoyed with someone he gives them a small zap and he's really frustrated that doesn't work with cole so he just pinches him

i love how wu haunts the narrative of dragons rising

excluding the times where he was on screen as a ghost (?), wu gets mentioned 51 times in the first 44 episodes of dragons rising (i couldn't count the rest of season three bc i couldn't find the transcripts) (i also excluded the times where his name passes in one conversation multiple times). which means on average, a character talks or thinks about wu at least once per episode. for a character who's barely on screen, it's a big number.

he's always in the back of everyone's minds. whenever the ninja give advice, it is in master wu's words. it's never "what should we do?", but rather "what would master wu do?".

without being an active character, he's influencing the whole story. every decision the ninja make is in relation to what master wu has taught them. they have this blind trust in him. learning that the merge was created by master wu does not change their opinion whatsoever because he must have had a reason. he's always right. even morro thinks so.

i just love how he's this untouchable figure who's lurking over the characters.

i've been trying to come up with au's for lloykita but i can't because the way they are in canon is genuinely peak. i don't think i could think of another circumstance of them meeting each other where they have a connection stronger than the one they have now. the long distance slow burn trust bond with wordless communication and understanding is the what both of these characters need in their life. thinking of them meeting in any way other than anonymous traumadumping in a forest just takes away their magic
