The Princess rolled a bit over her side to look at Kai into his eyes, how could he say that it wasn’t her fault? It totally was! he didn’t understand her pain, her horrible pain. The ninja was very kind to check on her, to show his Compassion.
Then she fully turned to look at him, baby blue eyes showing pain, maybe it wasn’t physical one, but mental one.
“I feel like it is… I should have listened to her and give up my
title and life. Then my kingdom would be at once piece...”
Says her as she then had chosen to sit on the bed, she didn’t like being looked at when she was like this… but in her mind, everything will end soon, she just looked at the ninja’s belt, and saw what it looked like a Kunai, maybe he had those as back up, anyways, Peach moved her hand over his gi to grab one kunai with strenght in her hands. The blade cutting her skin and flesh as she added more pressure to it. Blood coming out from her hands tainting the Kunai’s blade
“I blame myself, very much so… I never had the opportunity
to say my father or my friends what they meant to me…”
She added more pressure to the blade, making it go deeper into her flesh, the pain finally made her react and release the weapon, looking at her own injured, trembling and bleeding hands.WHAT WAS SHE DOING? Why did she in first place decided to do this? She wasn’t thinking though, her feeling making unreasonable.
“S-sorry… I-I’m so sorry…”
It was all she could say to Kai.
Kai sat at the very edge of the bed, his hands gripping the edge of the mattress, as if the ninja was trying to make himself take up as LITTLE space as possible --- in attempt to not CROWD the princess.
Soft hazel eyes met clear blue ones as the princess rolled over to face Kai. ❝ You can't TRUST them, who knows if they were telling the truth. They could have killed you then the kingdom. Your blood being shed in VAIN would help no one. ❞ At least now, the ninja are able to avenge the fallen kingdom, to right a terrible wrong. Without Peach, they wouldn't have even known about the slain innocents.
The first rule of the way of the ninja --- NEVER DROP YOUR GUARD. A mistake Kai didn't realize until it was too late. His Kunai was stolen and now pressed against flesh. By the time Kai reacted, blood was dripping onto wooden floors. ❝ DON'T! ❞ Kai pleaded, his tender voice still holding on to the same softness as before. As he lunged forward to the princess, he grabbed his other kunai from his belt, throwing it across the bedroom. The blade struck the opposite wall, digging into the wood and staying in place.
❝ What are you doing?!? ❞ Kai questioned, glancing up at her as he wrestled the blade from her hand. It was like she was in a trance, blinded in a cloud of SORROW and GUILT. ❝ Peach.. stop... please ❞ Kai begged as he freed the blade from her, kicking it aside. He grabbed the fabric of his mask and wrapped it around her bleeding wrist.
❝ It's gonna be OKAY... ❞ The ninja reassured gently, tying the fabric around her wrist before EMBRACING the fallen princess. ❝ You don't have to be sorry, Peach. It's okay.. ❞
